  1. If so, he ought to measure the diameter and buy ones that fit in a tool shop.
  2. It depends on the cranks. For Echo CNC cranks they are needed, because the spline finish is rather sharp and they grind the bolt when it's being screwed down. For Monty cranks for instance, the spacers are not needed. Neither are the spacers which the topic starter is asking about.
  3. Thanks for the comments, glad most of you enjoyed it
  4. Try changing the video and audio codecs.
  5. Just came up with this: Vimeo Video -> Original Video I don't ride more than once or twice a month but at least I've learned to enjoy myself. Started riding alone, so much better than riding in a group and spending hours on one wall whilst having a debate about where to go next. It's very TGS'y, unfortunately it's difficult to come up with lines when the camera is mounted on a tripod. I've worked with the editing to hopefully make moves a bit more interesting. Haven't used a tripod for a long time now so excuse some shots where the camera is way too close.
  6. Just guessing here, but it could be the seal ? I'd do what Muel wrote + change the seal. The brake lever is just a combination of metal plastic and rubber, nothing more. There's no need to buy a new one, it's bound to be easy to fix.
  7. So it's only the British who are glued to their seat? Actually, that could be used by the INS to hunt immigrants. Shit, it could also be used by the Germans in the next war to immobilise troops.
  8. I think he hypnotized his entire tv audience into believing that he guessed the numbers. In fact, the balls were blank.
  9. Well, you've made a change in my life. Tomorrow I am going out riding at 6am. Probably won't manage to get up but it's cool to pretend that one can.
  10. You do realise this was shot 5 years ago?
  11. Well yes, that is correct if you only apply logic and don't take any facts under consideration. But what you forgot is that this logic only applies to riders who can't pedal kick properly yet. Once you've learned to do it properly, you will know that you should never kick without the freewheel mechanism fully engaged.
  12. To put it simple, people who think it counts either can't do sidehops or are so obsessed with them that they have to justify their failure to stay on the obstacle by trying to believe that it counts. I think such people also ride with tape measures and get a boner from sidehopping 1mm higher than their 13 year old friend who also rides a mod and only does sidehops and gaps.
  13. Well, the 96 will do 36 clicks more than the 60. If you like clicking noises, then go for it
  14. It does count. I use the same rules when tapping and doing gaps. As long as the rear wheel touches the edge of the wall, it's done. Even if I fall of the bike, I don't bother doing it again. That way I've already gapped 10ft and done a 5ft tap.
  15. Absolutely loved that. Always wanted to ride early in the morning but I could never be arsed to get up.
  16. Exactly my thoughts. Some people on here need to grow up a bit and stop caring so much about someone's haircut or the way he rides.
  17. Nitro will dissolve ordinary spray paint but it won't work on baked paint or whatever you call it.
  18. Loved the manual near 2:50, looked so incredibly controlled. Vid made me happy though I found there not to be enough variety for my liking. Still good stuff, I could only dream of doing such spins. To anyone saying "get a bmx" - your idiots.
  19. KHE, purely because I had one on about 6 different bikes over a period of 2 years and it didn't snap.
  20. What's Adamant? Have a look at the Monty 221 X-Lite, the new model no longer has a saddle.
  21. I've got very limited experience with 24" bikes but the one I rode for a few hours was an Inspired and it was virtually impossible to sit on the seat and reach the handlebars at the same time. Fair play it depends on the stem but it would never be even close to being comfortable. Indeed there was the Zoot which in concept was a really nice idea, as was the Ciguena - but two frames don't change much here in the general concept of 24" trials bikes.
  22. Honestly, this is so stupid. 15 years ago, all mods had seats. 10 years ago, most stocks had seats. Now, virtually none have them because we've progressed. In 2009, all 24" bikes have seats. How long is it going to take for people to realise, that having something you can't sit on, adds weight and gets in the way is nonsense? Perhaps in 2020 we'll finally be getting 24" bikes without seats. But then 22" bikes will be introduced and riders will have to wait till 2030 until they come with no seat post.
  23. Well, so far we've established there are more people riding right foot forwards than left.
  24. Exactly, they're just not mechanically sound. It's like having a freewheel with one pawl engaging at a time, it's just not going to work.
