  1. The negative opinions from Tomm, dave85 and dave33 are IMO well justified and somewhat more convincing than 90% positive feedback. Will get a Hope Trials from Tarty then, ooh my poor wallet
  2. Well if my calculations are correct, a 185mm rotor on a 20" wheel will deliver 23.3% more power than an 8" rotor on a 26" wheel. Sounds prommising. Do you think it's worth getting a Hope Trials then?
  3. So why have people been voting 100% "Yes"? I'm lost
  4. Don't like cable brakes on the rear. Would you say a BB7 is far better than a Juicy?

see if Will will (s**t ) invent as many rules as you have you're pretty good at it
  6. just hope a 185mm rotor will fit into a monty frame
  7. My friend found a Juicy 7 brake on an auction for about 90 pounds. This auction is due to finish tomorrow afternoon. As I have never come across one, I'm wondering if it will be powerful enough as a rear brake for a mod bike. Ridden one on a 26"/20" wheel? Did it have good locking power? Liked it? Vote Edit: forgot the disc size - 185mm // Please close
  8. haven't got a better pic edit: found one

    New Cranks

If you can, try and buy something out of 7075 aluminium. I had a pair 6061 ZOO CNC cranks and after about 1 month (!!) of riding, the splines started getting very loose (cranks could be removed without any tools). The cranks were screwed in proberly just in case you ask. 3 months later they were so loose I couldn't ride them any more without putting some razors inbetween the axle and spline.
  11. [attachmentid=3115] And this is my old Monty 221 X-lite, cracked all round. Frame was somewhat flexy so I pulled it together with rope (bottom pic) and kept on riding. Half a year later I welded it. [attachmentid=3116] [attachmentid=3117]
  12. definitely going to get myself some white trousers, they rock
  13. getting my Ti this week i'm even more impatient now having seen all these pictures... come on parcelforce, come on........ BANG
  14. Milford Cubicle would sound so posh
  15. Just hope that people who have started playing this, won't end up loosing money.
  16. any chance of you wanting to sell the rear tyre?
  17. The screw with which you tighten the lever to the bars - yes, just get a bigger screw and re-thread the exsisting thread. The long screw with which you screw the lever to the "body" or whatever you call it - just get a longer screw and do it up with a nut, but make sure that the part of the screw which the lever pivots on doesn't have a thread. Hope I made myself understood, my english is very poor in these matters
  18. It's past 3 over here I don't think there's any point in going to bed
  19. Download Zone Alarm Pro, its a very good firewall, worked well with me. Among others, it shows you a FULL list of programs which access the internet/network and you can easily block them. Takes a while to configure but it's well worth it. Keeps all the s**t away. PM me if you can't find it
  20. would you mind mesuring the wheelbase?
  21. [attachmentid=3077] Ok its a full suspension but you'd be surprised what can be done on it. Currently weighs 15.63kgs because it's got a coil shocker. Most parts are lightweight, frame weighs 3100g which is about as much as a heavier cr-mo steel hardtail. Will be bringing the weight down to under 14kgs this summer. Pretty pointless taking into account that I more often than not use it for riding with my GF.
  22. http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html Very good program.
  23. don't like the idea of waking up at 1:30 p.m tomorrow
