  1. Woke up at 7am to give it a ride on some pallets. This bike totally rocks! It depends, are you a Trials Queen? edit: both hubs are ISO Disc, the rear one has bmx internals. because of this, the disc is 4mm closer to the frame than it should be. that's why i need to run a 180mm rotor with an adaptor, otherwise i wouldn't be able to get the brake in. maybe in 30 years (if they start designing one today) ck will come up with a 110mm properly spaced disc hub
  2. Wanted an even shorter frame that's why I swapped for a Monty. It rides very well but I just don't like the looks of it. Definitely looks better on the pics. Thanks for the comments, keep them comming
  3. TartyBikes-AliC-bangor.divx - 00:48 I think that's a japslap. Looks f*****g mint
  4. Updated pic: [attachmentid=4708] [attachmentid=4709] Got rid of the stickers as Joe suggested and have no longer got 10cm of spacers under the stem Don't use the gay bashguard any more and have a sloping stem cap! Best bike I've ever had, a beast on natural, and even has a fair ammount of ground clearance with a 16T bashring. Old pics:

No offence mate but the frame looks very cheapish. I'm sure it makes a good bike though Have fun, alex
  6. I run disc but my mate has a magura oil bleed with custom pads (made by another friend), ground rim and it works perfect! Give the rims a grind!
  7. so theoretically if one bought a mod XTP and swapped frames, the bike would be well below 8kg
  8. Not very much feedback but thanks a lot guys, it's been a great help And thanks to whoever kept the topic clean
  9. Sidehoping in the opposite direction to your front foot is a great advantage. If you have problems with pedalkicking then try doing a sidehop from two wheels. When jumping and lifting the front wheel up, release your brake and press the pedal ever so slightly. Just don't jump with the brake locked. When you learn to do it from two wheels, try it on the rear. Worked with me IMO this a common problem, the best you can do is just practice until you feel confident enough to add a pedal stroke to the jump.
  10. Could somebody explain why Western Union is so dogy? I always use it when sending money abroad and not using paypal/card. It's quick and easy although recently when I was paying something to Tartybikes they made me sign lots of papers concerning buying items over the internet. What the hell?
  11. A short GU Typhoon with ZOO! forks has a 1010mm wheelbase
  12. You had lots of luck, could have been much worse The least you can do is to get yourself a brake booster and some coust pads !!

where can one download it ?
  14. Krisboats - had the same problem, PMed Danny and it started working (maybe just a coincidence?) Looking foward to seeing the "dark" skin
  15. what pedal was it ? a cage or platform one?
  16. Many chainrings are not quite straight nowadays, so depending on the position of the cranks, the chain may be loose or more tense. Therefore if you do have a rotten chainring (which doesn't mean just cheap, because the expensive ones are also faulty) it's best if you use a sprung tensioner. A non sprung one is best when the chain tension doesn't change while rotating the cranks/wheel. A non sprung one will probably be ok with a front freewheel because they're usually straight and thus don't affect the chain tension.
  17. I've got to do a project for IT classes about web hosting. Thought it might be interesting do enhance it with opinions from abroad. I'm concentrating on servers you have to pay for, but I'll also be mentioning free web hosting. Some questions you might not want to answer (about costs etc.) but if you do, it will be a great help as I can then compare how much people are willing to pay abroad for this kind of service. For people who use free www servers: -Is your site popular on the net, or do you just run it for your own satisfaction? -Does your site have lots of media for download? -Is your site frequently offline because the server is down, the monthly transfer limit has been exceeded etc? -Would you be willing to pay i.e. 5 pounds per month for a server with a similar spec, but without downtime, popups, ads etc.? For people who pay for their servers: -What criteria do you use when choosing which www server to buy? -Does your site have lots of media to download? -Do you have a monthly transfer limit, if so how often do you use it up? -How much do you pay for your account per month? -Do you value the possibility of having a custom e-mail address (if available)? -What administration panel do you use? -What features in the administration panel do you value most? Sorry for the language, I don't quite know the english computer jargon Cheers, Alex
  18. what gear ratio do you run? With 18T:12T there should be no problems whatsoever!

Not really interested in Koxxdays videos any more after having watched this.......... It would be nice to watch a no-music version of it. This is a must-have video if you don't download it you're gay
  20. Thought I'd post this up just in case somebody finds it useful. What you see here is the disc to wheel diameter ratio. The higher the number, the more powerful the disc will be. The final power is dependant on the brake itself, use this chart to find out how much power the same brake will deliver on a different wheel and rotor diameter. 26" wheels: Rotor size 160mm - 0,242 180mm - 0,272 185mm - 0,280 203mm - 0,307 24" wheels: Rotor size 160mm - 0,262 180mm - 0,295 185mm - 0,303 203mm - 0,332 20" wheels: Rotor size 160mm - 0,314 180mm - 0,354 185mm - 0,364 203mm - 0,399 I.e. a 203mm disc on a 26" wheel is slightly weaker than a 160mm disc on a 20" wheel.
  21. This validation system is one awesome idea. Being a mod of a much larger bike forum I have to "cope" with finding and deleting hundreds of silly posts each week just because the administrator couldn't be bothered to introduce a similar system as on T-F. So as not to make this post pointless, my little piece of advice is not to keep going on about hoping to be validated soon. It sounds as if all the reasonable posts such a person writes are purely to get validated and not intended to help people. Although I have never had to choose who to "validate" on the forum I moderate, it would definitely put me off. Simply never use the word "validation" before you get validated. That's my view on the subject. And remember that there is a hidden forum for the supreme members and it's not only mods and administrators who look around for people worth validating.
  22. are they protected by law that their arses are still in one piece? i mean these turds look like they're 12-16y.o. most of them look frightfully intelligent
