  1. You need to customize it, looks like a city bike with all those cables etc. I'm sure it rides very nicely
  2. Had both the long and short. The long, having a 1045WB was total shit, yet the short was by far the best frame I had ridden. Great ground clearance, 1010mm wheelbase which is just about perfect for everything. The workmanship was pretty poor, yet probably all the Echo frames are going down the drain. What more can I say.. if I didn't want a shorter frame I'd definately go back to it. Go for it!
  3. over 9 feet, bb felt like snapping... [attachmentid=3376] as pictured + cracked bone
  4. You need a half-link chain on a 18:12T drivetrain when running a 370mm chainstay, otherwise the chain will be loose. Think about it - the 363mm stays is X chain links, where as 375mm stays is X+1 link. You can't tighten a chain on 370mm without a halflink.
  5. Personally I don't like the bashguard because it gets in the way of everything. As Zordon says, it also puts on weight and will snap easily. However a bashring gives you loads of clearance. Ie. 60mm BB rise + 16T bashring (ok with 18T sprockets) should give you enough clearance for it to be difficult to land on. Had a setup like that on my GU and my bashring is alost like new! It was actually difficult to land on, all the impact was absorbed by the grip of the tyre. I can also imagine the bashguard being a pain in the arse on natural riding yet I can't quite explain why :$
  6. It looks like the Yao Zhi version. Like it without the stickers
  7. Pic I made for Marks ilf contest: [attachmentid=3372] This man can sidehop over your plane

  11. Thanks a lot Adam, wanted to ask you about it when I called but forgot
  12. I'm going to make myself a king hub tool very soon, the only part that has caused me trouble is the wedge (the cone that wedges itself against the hub internals, so that they can be hammered out). This is probably made of metal, but easily expands when the hub tool is tightened. Any idea about how this is done? Looking at pictures won't help, I need advice from somebody who has had contact with this element. This question has also been asked in random small questions but no answer was given.
  13. Great chill-out video. Smooth riding, cool bike. Get a vid of Dave up as well
  14. dan6061, i don't want to keep you waiting, still haven't got the frame it has only just left england (been sent 8 DAYS ago!!!!!!). might get the vid done by wednesday next week but it's highly inprobable
  15. the figures are not measured in anything its the disc size to wheel ratio. these figures are merely to be compared between each other. someone might want to put that up into FAQ for future reference. getting a setup like that tomorrow, i'm not sure if it will not be too powerful. yet i probably won't need to bed the brake in for it to work well
  16. sorry, I ment his son, who indeed is pictured on the photo you published. their family is growing so rapidly, i have lost count :$ This is David Williams Senior

  21. very nice colours. and that horn sure gives it a touch of class
