This is probably going a bit offtopic but still it's my view on the subject. In high school, having a bi-lingual course we got a native speaker who was from the US. Very eccentric chap, interesting, had a hairstyle you'd expect from an inspired violinist. As he was just at school to talk to us, most of the questions we asked him were about the states. It was so interesting, most of us had an impression as if America was a completely different world, which it probably is in many respects. At the end of our course, the chap gave us an american maturity examination paper from english (the exam you take when you're finishing high school). It was so basic, most of us didn't get below 90% He also gave us some examination papers from other subjects. Well the conclusion was simple - comparing to the knowledge we had to have on our A-Levels, it was nothing. And so my quesion is - if the high-school education level is so low, how can we expect people to know where france and iran is? I took geography on my A-Levels and they didn't require us to learn where the USA is, where Mongolia or Chile is. This kind of knowledge isn't something you learn at school and then write an exam. This is something you learn when you get through life... read on... The video Onzaboymark posted shocked me. I couldn't believe it. I understand if the chap there confused spain with germany, but to put france and iran in australia? Australia is a country damnit... Don't people in the US know that? I'm sure many do (and in this vid there where people who knew what they were talking about). My explenation for this maybe is far fetched. IMO it's because you are self-sufficient, you've got GMC, loads of oil or gas (as you say it ), don't need to import any products from europe, have a huge variety of locations to choose your holidays from, and basically can lead a very good life without leaving your country. I read an article recently about the unemployment rate in the US. I think it's about 4.6% now, nevertheless it's very low. And aparently it's raising the inflation level, so the government want's to increase the unemployment... I mean most countries have big problems with having to reduce it, whereas you want to increase it... Just a OT. uff...

street trials rider - the thread should be silver not blue, and being in the uk you should know that screwed-in one's are not used that frequently. that's some utterly useless information

didn't find that topic when searching thanks

7 foot static on average, a bit more to front wheel. record is 8ft though, but i've never come near it since.

Well the short ZOO is no longer available. I have been riding a long Python for about 8 months now, and changed frames. A mistake occured and I recieved a long GU which was soooo much easier to ride. The Python is a very specific frame, you either love it or hate it. I hate it Go for the long GU. It might have a 1040-1045 wheelbase but you don't feel it. Natural position, superb I'd have kept it but I wanted a short.

looks cheapish, and as if it was pretending to be more than it is. all the stickers and so on... nah... but imagine what a gu and python (and a booster from the team) would look like

congratulations on the behalf of eastern europe

Well, I've seen both done on videos, but I can't figure out which method is easier to start with. A bunnyhop gives more momentum when lifting the bike up, but a pedalup seems to be a more accurate tool. Any advice?

what are the songs in "the friendly chav"? http://tv.isg.si/site/?q=filebrowser/joemaher44

Whatever the reaction was (and the muslims are overreacting), this cartoon is highly inapropriate. Nobody should ever make fun of religious leaders. It doesn't take much intelect to figure out that this kind of cartoon will trigger of a nasty reaction from their side, and won't have any positive impact on anything whatsoever. Now that's not all. The european solidarity... damn its annoying. Now papers all across europe are printing these cartoons in the name of the freedom of word. A few days ago the biggest newspaper in Poland, Rzeczpospolita, published these pics. And what happened? The government had to apologise to the muslims for this. But the manager of the paper still hasn't. There was a press conference today with the polish mouslim leader, he asked the director to publish his appologies on the first page of the tomorrows' paper. If not, this case will be taken to a public prosecutor and court. Well I wonder if the head office will apologise. I am not a religious person but I know that religion should be respected. If the muslims now published a nasty cartoon of Christ or God I wonder how many people would feel abused. And the USA would probably drop an atom bomb on the muslims. The last thing I want is the press to give a reason for these crazy people to start attacking europe again. Already a few people have been killed because of this cartoon - was it really worth publishing it ?! Both the muslims and the press are behaving like a**holes.

What is it supposed to say about the guy on the photo? Hey I ride trials? or Hey I'm an idiot!

I know what you mean... most of all I miss the school outings to castles and museums... ahh and being treated like a kid. I actually got down to lego about half a year ago and built up all the models I had so now they're just standing in the room looking nice. I wouldn't mind being like 10 now, have the current intelect (so that school isn't a problem) and some kind of small trials bike to fit me. That would be awesome... and still like the f*****g snow!!! yoyoyo haha nice avatar, JC in the Atom I was rotfl when I saw his face being "destroyed" in that car edit: have a go at it http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6514168251893889573

Funny because I just wanted to post an identical topic that guy really has some skill. Most of all I like the Coca-Cola bottle and the Batman&Robin.

I had something like that done about 6 years ago. I got two injections after which my whole face was hanging The process of pulling out the tooth wasn't painfull at all, I dont remember feeling anything. It's just the thought that the dentist is using some awful plyers in your mouth and pulling very hard Dont worry!

The old 1030/1033mm KOXX LB/Echo Team (2003) frame geometry. Preferably Le KOXX. It's absolutely awesome. I remember riding my friends factory build Levelboss back in 2004. I could ride that bike all day long.... no Python or GU will ever get near the user frieldny geo those bikes had.
-
IMO it shouldn't make much difference. I'd say an excessive wheelbase would make things more difficult in almost every respect. Only rode a stock for two months in my life, it had a 1055mm wb and was great for taphops. Ideal

awesome vids. what are the two songs in "the friendly chav"? edit: does this chap ride a short echo or is it a long one?
-
that's some incredible riding there... the real oldschool trials i love. it reminds me of when i started riding trials, most of the videos where like that - short, with no big moves yet all of them were smashing

You'll Never Guess What Happened To Me Today
Greetings replied to David20's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
did the brakes work better or worse after they got pissed on? you should have checked it and gave us some feedback -
I'm finding this topic very interesting. Not once have i wondered how it would be like say in 10 years, will some of our skills be preserved? Is trials a lifetime skill (balance and so on). Dunno how it's like not to ride for a few years, but it sure must be frustrating. It's probably a bit like learning to switchfoot?
