  1. Very interesting watch. I read somewhere that the exhaust gasses generate considerable downforce too.
  2. This is a very good idea. Helps fight with scammers. About your maths, I doubt they currently get 8000USD/minute of sales - probably a lot more than that. And 2% interest daily? Seriously? Tell me how and I'll happily allocate my money there. Yeah it would actually. In 365 days at 2% daily your 100 quid is worth 137k. Whoever came up with that 2% doesn't know how money works. Money doesn't grow, it is simply transferred between people.

  4. Came in here to post that. It's the most mesmerizing thing I've seen in ages.
  5. Had my HTC Desire Z for 2 years now and it's really good though admittedly getting a bit slow. Worth considering if you'd like a hardware keyboard.
  6. Got an SSD drive since I had to reinstall Windows anyway, hoping for some better performance. Keeping most files on a different drive is going to take some getting used to though.
  7. Here's some vids. It's mostly the same track over and over again but in a different config. And this time it was wet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECCz_Jc-bAY Mostly dry run: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0EMUghaCE0 Mostly greasy run: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGdzj6vJo5E Prawn if you read this and are looking for rain tyres, do yourself a favour and buy Hankook W51's (thisThey're incredible. So happy I decided to try them out despite the low price putting me off. Also, after 30km of use they show little wear which in rallysprint is unusual. They're said to work well in the wet in temperatures of up to 10C so probably a good tyre for the British winter. The size I use and is probably ok for you too is 210/650R17. They're around 230mm in width.
  8. Went to a comp and won my class, took 4th place overall. Really fun day, the conditions were awful and therefore much more interesting. Also drove around in a 318is E30 with this years' Polish rally champion and it was a mental experience. Half way through the course I was thinking "no, I can't drive like this, it's impossible". He was taking lines I would never think of and would frequently use left foot braking which I finally understood the point of. It kills understeer while slowing you down so a really nice trick when you go into a corner too quickly. The Megane RS driver who keeps beating me has bought a pro rally spec M3 so it was fun to see how he compared to other M3 drivers. Needless to say he did brilliantly for his first comp in a RWD car coming 2nd. Can't wait to see his vids, the car is equipped with Reiger suspension, fascinated how it behaves on the bumpy bits. Will update with some pics and vids later on, used Racechrono throughout the event.
  9. Totally makes sense, it is rather anal though.
  10. They certainly don't go around checking brake pedal rubbers
  11. It's freaky how accurate your MOT's are.
  12. I installed 4 tyres and balanced the wheels all by myself today Can't say it was easy, especially getting the tyres on which had reinforced sidewalls. It looks so effortless when you watch others do it though. Really happy though, I've wanted to give this a try for ages.
  13. Cheers It's a brand specific magazine so they were more interested in the car but also covered my short career in motorsport and plans for the next season. Most of it is about the car - how it was built, what it feels like to drive and so on. I'd love to, that's one of the reasons why I agreed to this. Don't think it'll work but probably worth trying. I hope that sharing this will help me unwind and get over it. My dentist and very good friend just called and said he has to sell this. I've been in love with this model for over 5 years and it's been my dream to own one. Sadly always had other expenses, as is the case this time. But this is the first chance to buy one in perfect nick. Don't really want to be stuck with a loan for the next year or two but I'm as tempted as I've ever been. He's not in a hurry which helps. He's offered me a really good price since he doesn't want it to go to some idiot who will mistreat it and being a dentist he's got more money than he needs. It's just that the garage of cars his wife doesn't know about needs to accommodate a recently purchased Evo and there's no room. This one he's owned for over 3 years and his wife knows nothing about it, hence it barely had any use whatsoever. What makes it worse for me is that I've driven this car and it's amazingly brilliant. It's even got an Eisenmann exhaust which adds to the madness.
  14. Haha he is ridiculously safety conscious But this was on a rally between stages. Turns out that this was done for fun by the Police, they didn't give out any fines for speeding and most drivers knew about this beforehand. In other news: The whole article is 8 pages long
  15. My friend got caught by a speed camera and I find the pic really amusing.
  16. This is why I only shave twice a week....
  17. Well the missus pissed me off for the first time in over a year. Apart from why I'm pissed off, I'm also so tired of her having problems, wanting help but when I ask what happened, she says she doesn't want to talk about it. Ffs. I used to be concerned and would sit around for hours trying to work out what's happened and eventually getting her to spill the beans, now I just couldn't be bothered.
  18. Well, season is hopefully over. Should still take part in 2 rounds of a different series but I hope this won't be necessary. I was told that tyres should be stored in a damp dark and warm room, happy to say I have the perfect place for this. I've given everything a thorough clean and put the car and wheels away. Hope I won't have to touch them until April 2014. This car is a huge drain on my budget, too much of a drain recently. Already thought of my exit strategy, going to continue using the M3 in 2014 in the OPEN class and in 2015 if things don't improve, I'm buying an E30 318is. This with just a rollcage meets all the HOBBY class requirements which is the cheapest restricted trophy class. Everyone gets the same basic mods with no weight saving, the same stock engine and the same 595 Super Steel (not even RS-R!) tyres. The Daihatsu from last year is kicking, just had an engine rebuild and suspension overhaul. Can't wait for some snow. Bring on the cheapest motorsport there is
  19. Only weed and only in moderation. Never touched anything else and hopefully never will.
  20. I didn't have anything against it until I saw the video. Too many people losing car bits on that jump. We only lost bumpers - one of my rivals in a Megane RS Cup dislocated his engine and pulled a half shaft from the wheel on that jump. He didn't finish and dropped from an almost certain 1st place overall in AB Cup (all makes, not just BMW) to 4th. We all have a choice whether we want to cut the corner and get air or take the more easy route. But many drivers fighting for the win were forced to take the jump. And that's a problem. Here's an on board from the last run: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eva0coXTBsI 2 mistakes which cost me the championships in that vid alone - bumper and 3rd gear not going in on one corner - pressure plate problems.
  21. Well, on another positive note, the bumper mishap has been filmed. First clip.
  22. Didn't manage it unfortunately. Due to certain circumstances I was fighting for 3 championships today which is a once in a lifetime situation. Took second place in all of them. And the thing that hurts most of all (I actually got really emotional and had to quiet down for an hour in solitude) was that I lost all the championships by 200 milliseconds. On the plus side (if there is one) my last run was possibly the best driving I've done in my life. I went out with the attitude that if write the car off then so be it, I had nothing to lose and 3 seconds to make up which on a 3 minute stage is nigh on impossible. I improved my personal best by 6 seconds, managed to make up 2.8 seconds while dragging a bumper underneath the car for at least 200 metres. That bumper cost me the championship, but the same would go for a locked up handbrake or the fact that the chap who won had to repeat his first run after the circuit had dried off a bit because one of the marshals forgot to time him. So yeah, that would be it. I'll post an on board from the last run in the evening.
  23. Cheers It's tomorrow. Got everything loaded including 20 wheels. Very strong moon tonight so a pic was in order If anyone is on here tomorrow and bored, give this a click, my name is Aleksander Zoltowski http://live.chronotec.pl/
  24. Finished preparing for the final round of BMW Challenge. I'm already nervous as f**k. It's going to be one hell of a competition, definitely the most important and challenging one in my "career". I'd like to think it'll all go well since I've been undefeated on this track in RWD class for almost a year now but stress makes you do silly things. Plus last years' champion is taking part to help his teammate win the season and he's one hell of a good driver. I treat him almost as a legend - the first time I ever took notice of him was during a rainy comp - he arrived in a completely stock M3 sedan and took 3rd place overall, behind two Evos. That can happen but amazingly he was only 5 seconds behind the winner on a total of 20 minutes. And that was in the rain where Evos with their fancy diffs have a huge advantage. The closest I've ever come to one of those two cars was 20 seconds. 1st or 2nd place gives me the championship so long as I'm quicker than the fellow competitor who's currently 1st. The car is almost as ready as it will be, in terms of tyres I'm prepared for absolutely anything. Fingers crossed....
