  1. it seems it but you do most of it out of instinct, best ways just to go at things thinking you'll make it + won't get hurt, 'cause on smaller sidehops the most you'll do is roll over *oh the pain* it's when you go bigger you need to worry
  2. how bad did you egg it you can stop eggs my loosening off/tightening spokes anyway.
  3. so how do you learn to build them if you never try? just try building them, theres a guide by onzaboymark in the FAQ section in the members bit (i'll link later if you can't find it) it's really simple and if you cock it up you can always take it to a local bike shop, theres no harm in trying, you'd have to be hardcore retarded to actually break anything
  4. hehe I'm learning sidehops (again) i can get over bar height
  5. thats f**king shite, send them a bill for a new frame+chain can't you press charges for unnecessary force, or is that different?
  6. yeah but tarty give you rock pads with them don't they so it doesn't matter, and vees are fine, it's not like you need UBER brakes when your starting out. and maguras are cheap 2nd hand anway.
  7. depends how much it would cost you, 'cause it would be hard to upgrade (it has a 20" rear wheel, not a 19" like most mods now do, you you would have limited tyre choice) as said before go for something more modern idealy a t-pro or 06 t-bird?
  8. yeah, but they engage just as fast(assuming you run 18-12), 'cause the bigger chainring at the front makes the sprocket at the back spin faster so you get the engagement sooner. if you run 18-13 or softer an eno would be better
  9. maggy's are shit without fancy pads & stuff to though, go out + buy some magura black pads, and run them on a smooth rim and say that....
  10. get 2-3 pallets and stack them up. be at an angle to the pallets so your front wheel is closer to the pallets than your back, set up on the backwheel, crouch backwards, lowering the bars then pull all your weight up and pull up on the bars as hard as you can and tuck your legs up so the back end can follow up. and shift your weight towards the palets so you land on them
  11. leave him alone for re-posting it nmc 'cause not everyone will check mc and they still get to see it+discuss it. ogre likes the idea of suspension
  12. i hope it catches on i like the idea of another way of splitting up trial bikers. i can imagine the tf debates on hard+soft sus being prety fun to...
  13. sealed hubs can be quite expensive though and if your newby to bikes the bearings+cones are easier to replace i don't see whats wrong with the onza range when you start out your never going to need some uber brakes a well set up vee is fine and the new cranks/freewheel is so much better than the acs claw+muscle mans you used to get. also vees are piss easy to set up and tinker with compared to maguras, i used to spend ages trying to set up my maguras vees are a piece of piss in comparrsion.
  14. try-alls are good how do they make the tryall cranks, are they forged? 'cause they don't realy look CNCed

  16. i know there good (i run them F+R) but the first post was somethign about a budget the onza sealed hubs are good i only got rid of mine 'cause the axle moved around in my frame there solid little hubs though.
  17. bit off topic, but if your wanting something with a seat why not get a base?
  18. could try a shorter stem? riser bars lot you adjust the cockpit of the bike, tilt them forward and you get more reach and tilt them back you get less.
  19. no there not, there not uber expensive either but £60s not cheap
  20. change the phones so you can choose to ring adam or dave? also be funy to see who gets rung more in a month
  21. you'll probably need new spokes for the echo rims, 'cause the erd will be different to the standard onza ones
  22. get a BB7 and an sd7 lever or avid ultimate if you've got the cash bb7s are mad powerful
  23. they're the same just the ZOO!s are 2g lighter than adamants
  24. if it's a tectro IO disk there actually prety good, i know someone who runs a 160 on his stock fine the halfords own disk is prety good to if he's on a budget.
