your best getting your lbs to do it, 'cause they'll probably take off your current freewheel to (freewheels are absolute bastards to get off). if you want to use a crankpuller like one of these what you do is screw the "big threaded bit" (if your looking at the on on tartybikes it's the grey bit thats got something like stainless crank extractor etchd into it) into the crank, if you look at where you take the hex bolt out theres thread to screw it into then you spin the other part of crank extractor and it pulls of the crank whats a bearing pull? :$ subject of freewheels: I'd recommend an eno 'cause you can replace bit's on it if you manage to kill it and you can service them really easily, 'cause they've got a sealed bearing theres far less parts to ping out when you open it

there any riders that live near you? if so watch them not just videos see how they preload for gaps and such although everyone gaps differently to some extent it's always a similar movement, and get them to watch you and point out what your not doing, could do better etc. get some pallets and put them a distance away from eachother and gap them, each time making the gap a little bit bigger or put another pallet on top and aim to get higher.

no, the koxx has the lockring at the back doesn't it so it can't undo, and the eno is magic*+doesn't undo** *not all eno's are magic **some will undo or come loose

If your on a budget go buy an ACS claw there usually prety reliable + cheap if they go boom. I'd suggest buying an eno or tryall, their both expenisve but there uber good quality, especially the eno because you can replace all the components if you manage to kill anything on it the tryall just has awesome engagements 108(which is more engagements than everything else on the market), meaning you get an engagement every 3 degrees although a few people have had problems with them skipping like a bitch. If you've not got the budget go for a tensile, there awesome value + such.

your nipples... you need a tool idealy (i think theres one on tarty) hence why most people say take it to a bikeshop. otherwise a chissel/screwdriver(flatheaded) + hammer, put the flat of the chisel/screwdriver on one of th "notches" on the freewheel+hit it alot but taking it to a bikeshops alot easier etc.

Or not? they tend to round easily and you can't get the same tention you do with "normal" nipples = weaker wheelbuild etc, they look pimp though and save you a few grams
