  1. If it is basically the same as the hope mono trial, then i don't think it will be that good on a stock, as my friend ran a 160mm rotor on it and it had no bite at all, did hold though. I then bought the brake off him as he got a avid bb7 and it worked really well on my mod till it broke. its at hope being fixed right now though
  2. I ran a armadillo on my t-pro and it did not stop it denting. the rods in the armadillo just pushed into the frame and left long thin dents. Not sure on any ways to prevent it denting though.
  3. I had this problem on a old jump bike of mine, all i did was removed the bb and stacked some rather large washers between the bb shell and the bb cup and it moved the chainring outwards and stopped the rubbing.
  4. I have recently broke my front hope mono trial disk brake, I phoned up hope and they said to send send the brake to them along with a covering letter. I am not sure what sort of things a covering letter should include as i have never had to write one before. Any help on what to include or how to structure this will be a great help. thanks
  5. I have recently put a crack in my t-pro around the headtube area. After realizing that i did not have enough money to buy a new frame i have had my t-pro welded to hold it together. However i am now concerended about my warranty as i have only had the frame for not much longer than 6 months. will that fact that i have had my frame welded affect the warranty on my t-pro? I sent a e-mail to super cycles about my frame a while ago but have had no response. Any help is appreiceated
  6. Dont worry dan, i think your frame has a hell of a lot of life left in it yet. just try not to treat it like i treat my t-pro and it will be all good.
  7. I was thinking about getting hope braided hoses for my bike and then found out that you can get braided hose a lot cheaper from specialist car shops. as long as you know the correct diameter of the threads on all of the pistons and lever aswell as the internal and external diameters of the hose you can have the hoses made up for you a lot cheaper than you can buy them from shops. im getting some made up very soon.
  8. you didnt buy those pads off mike you bought them off me, but admittedly i bought the material off him, but they were a bitch to cut and glue into the backings. If you want some cousts i got some that you can have......emailed you bout it the other day
  9. Does anyone know if instead of getting a new t-pro on crash replacment i could get money off a zona zip instead? As this would save me having to splash out cash which i dont have on a frame which is expensive. know it may be a bit cheeky but i couldent help but think it many thanks
  10. You dont need a whole new wheel, just get a new hub. the alex rims that come on them are probably some of the strongest rims you could buy. the hubs that come on the t-pro's are pants, mine died on me completely. after that get new forks, with disk mounts followed by a new hub and spokes to fit, then you can go ahead and buy a disk to fit on to your bike.
  11. That was one awsome ride, apart from cracking my frame great pics, harris is crate heaven
  12. Theres no point, Its not that impressive at all, the crack is only bout a inch long not sure how deep though. will slowly get worse till it snaps.
  13. Ive been riding since the end of April 05, been riding with experiened riders which has helped me a lot. i started on a saracen mad which i liked, but it snapped, now i have a t-pro with okayish parts but i have cracked it
  14. My budget would probably be around the £200 mark. I've had a look at the monty 221pr but they don't exacterly look like the strongest bikes around and i can be quite a heavy rider at times. Does anyone have any idea on the strength of the monty frames. I think most of the new bikes from deng and the zip are all long and high and would not be nice for me. the echo team is probably the best sugestion(sp), but it is a little out of my budget
  15. Inevitably i have cracked my T-Pro at the headtube where they all go. I did this while bunnyhop gapping a 7 ft gap on pallets I am going to have to get a new frame. i was wondering what frame to get, i prefer shorter mods with a quite low bb rise as i quite like to bunny hop and i have found this a challenge to do on longer mod'swith a higher bb rise. i know there is not much choice of shorter mods around in the ever incereasing world of long bikes. i do not plan to get a crash replacment onza t-pro as they are just not strong enough frames.
  16. Wasnt me that snapped it, was my friend ross. matt burrows rode that frame for a while so it had some abuse off him!!
  17. My friend Ross has managed to snap his echo pure, i have been told that he is the first person ever to snap one so i thought id let you all know. He snapped it side hopping up a 2 ft high wall.
  18. shouldn't be a problem if you are going to grind your rim, because the grind should slightly reduce the width of the rim. i don't really think that 1mm will make a whole lot of difference anyway
  19. I am going to buy myself a new disk brake and was wondering whether i should go for the Hope mini mono, or the avid BB7 mechanical disk. a couple of questions about them: - which feels the nicest to use? - which brake has the most bite and hold?? cheers
  20. Are you tinking of knurling your rim?? because that could be very hard to do unless you have one huge ase chuck on a lathe that you could fit your rim into (Y)
  21. May sound stupid, but have you checked that your cranks are on tightly?? because if you are running a square taper and the cranks are loose it can completely strip the inside of your crank arms, usually starts of with a small skip or slip from the crank and gradually gets worse ;) just make sure your cranks on on tightly (Y)
  22. hi i sold my saracen x-tort jump bike earlier this year and only got £400 for it. and just to let you know it was kitted out with: 05 marzocchi dirt jumper 2's atomlab trailpimp wheels shimano deore disk brakes 9 spd shimano lx casette/mech/shifter various dmr parts fsa cranks mine was sold on ebay without a reserve but i know wish i had put one on......wouldent let me remve it either (Y) i would hope you get £600 but i would say more along the lines of £500 :turned: bike cost me £1200 new and i had it for 4 months and sold it in excellent condition
  23. hello aiden just thought i would let u know that you are not allowed to sell stuff on the forum unless you are a full member. thought your brother was buying that anyhow??
  24. If its a 03,04,05 model t-pro then the back rim is 19" :D
  25. Great. thanks a lot for the help, any pictures at all would be appreciated :D
