    first bike

    From the album: onza

  3. I am 5"4 and i started on a stock years ago but when i started there were no big trials shops around so getting light trials spec parts were hard, so my trials bike was 12kg+. Then i went to mod the last few years for a lighter bike which is now close to 8kg. So i like mods for movibility and smallness less weight but need to be accurate due to small wheels, stock i would get another some time, now that they are lighter, also can get up higher with stock and more margin for error but less easy to manouver and easyer to get parts. At the end of the day either bike is personal choice, and also will feel weird for you and strange till you get the hang of it so i would look for one that has most value for money. my first bike i met my wife on this
  4. was really good need to learn that on the guitar now. Im also suprised not many rock, fans i like anything with guitars heavy or light especially the 60/70 music at its best dont know if its an age thing, i find younger people into r&b and dance/urban music
  5. I normaly ride with a bag (empty pockets) and leave it on the ground when ridding. So im thinking i could get a bluetooth earphone adaptor which can use any earphones and leave my player (my phone) in my bag, this means nothing in my pockets which i hate almost wire free(extra wire i will tuck down my top from earphones and wont miss calls) and my adaptor hanging around my neck tuck in sony bluetooth bluetooth earphones and adaptor earphones or something similar the other alternitive is mp3 in your pocket and wire it under your t shirt to your head ps biffy clyro creed alterbridge pearljam system of a down rodrigo and y gabriela for guitar fans seen them live amazing to watch
  6. either creed or alterbridge i think got it somewhere will have a look got it: creed bullets great band!!!
  7. i had to send my C902 back and got re-flashed i tried this myelf and it lock me out but it has cured all the freezing and turming offand stuff and didnt cost me a penny to repair 1 year manufactures warranty if they try and charge you
  8. Nice one! good vid from a phone , my body is killing me from last night lol the joys of getting old
  9. Hair spray will work if you dont go ridding in the wet. Deaodarant works but can take a while to dry. Brake cleaner is ok but the best stuff i ever used is electrical contact cleaner, i use crc contact cleaner from work it dries in seconds so you need to be quick when putting them on, i also use it to clean parts ck drive shells, bolt holes disc brakes anything, it does not affect plastics so good for maggies and pads crc contact cleaner or use a simalar product really great stuff
  10. ive got a dob now the xtp frame is hanging up for spares never now about magnesium
  11. Any know the internal and extarnal diameters of the hoses, i am looking to get clear stuff which will be easier to see air bubbles for bleeding
  12. the only way i can think for checking leaks is to get all the fluid out of the brake, take the break off the bike and stringe loads of air in and dunk the brake under water and watch out for bubbles when operating it. Most likely to be seals or the olives at the end of pipes
  13. if its the old one (all black) no welds they are serviceable it sounds like a broken ball bearing has fell into the pawlor broken pawl/spring. I got the lock ring off by drilling a small hole it, like the eno and chapped it loose with a centre punch ( or screw driver will do) there is loose ball bearings not like the eno that are sealed away so strip it in a tub. My try-all was running on 1 pawl 36 engagements the springs had poped out so i bent them slightly so they are stronger and got new bearings, you will need grease to stick the ball bearings back in when re-assembling
  14. i bled mine the other day and i found that if you completely remover ther lever altogether then do the bleed (if using water do it underwater or oil use the syringe at the slave/wheel side and pump it up the way with the other bleed screw at highest point possible) and this allows the master cylinder to go all the way back and when you put the lever on with the tpa wound off it will push the slave pinstons in a touch, then loosen a bleed screw a touch and push the extra fluid by pushing the slave in or out or just shy of going right in so thats theres a good pressure in the lines for better response and power i had to do this cause i had a sticky slave that would not return back even with a good few bleeds and been using antifreeze 3 years running it didnt cure and felt there was not alot of pressure in the line to over come the differnce
  15. took me 30mins use down load accelarator http://www.speedbit.com/
  16. loved the trials on the dh rig, reminds me of the days of jib and the downs where Vaughn V-Dub Williams rides trials on a ellsworth dh bike
  17. when i had my caisso i ran without a booster and felt fine then i tried my try-all 2 bolt booster and wasnt as grabby and the hold wasnt as good so i took it and ran fine as too with my xtp but my dob is far to flexy so i use it on it, my preferance is without if you can get away with it and the set up will be better and easyer to give you a good brake.
  18. yea i would like the see wawa vs katowice 1 the other 2 are ace smooth riding is what i like to see
  19. I took my freewheel into work today and managed to get the lock ring off and it was running on 1 pawl so i was lucky that 1 didnt skip or break. The problem was the little leaf springs came out there seats so all good now. The only problem is they run on ball bearing so i'm going to have to get a hold of some
  20. My freewheel skip and it sounded alot quieter and never thought of anything of it until i counted the engagements, so i'm guessing its running on 3 pawls instead of 9 Is there a way to get the lock ring off like enos and if so what way are the threads going to service it, i have had it 1 year now and my old eno is not great either( been seviced loads of times 2 years running )which i will use the now to keep me going Any ideas?
  21. look like a fun weekend o the glasgay banter gonae no dae that, will see you at loch lomand ross i will race you to the top of ben lomand and laugh down on you ha ha hope, the weather is ok and no limbs floating in the loch like last time
  22. 2 years running little adjustment every 4-5 months to move the cylinder in, no probs works a treat and a light grind 2-3 months Rim- Try-all 19" at least 10 grinds on it now Brake- Magura 05 Pads- Coust in CNC backings Brake booster- Try-all 2 bolt Brake lever- Adamant now a 4 finger Brake fluid- Anti freeze (bled in a bucket with syringe ) Mounts - Magura was out in the rain the other day and it still howels in fact it felt better so going to wash my rim regulary to improve it and i find to set it up take the tyre off, mount the rim put a penny or something slim and put it between the rim and pad, square the pads up and tighten and to move it in closer loosen the mounts slightly (not too much that the move freely) and chap them in slightly with a hammer no probs and the less you adjust them the better they will bed in
  23. i done that on my disc when i tried to align it, and my finger got jammed and sliced the tip off by the small holes in the rotor whistle spinning it . Worst thing was i got the brake to stop rubbing but then started after that and found out it was a lump of my skin in it and thats when i took my finger out of my mouth then thats when i got a fright oops no tip
