  8. When doing repairs in my shop i simply remove the whole wheel and use KFC wet wipes to remove all grease of the rotor then put it to one side to dry. Remove the pads i f contaminated and give a fine scrub with either clean emery paper or file. Clean in some fresh hot water form kettle. Return everything back in the caliper reseting the pads by pushing the pistons back carefully with a large flat headed screwdriver. Place wheel back in the dropouts making sure thats it's definetly in (placing the bike on the floor to insure they're in, check to make sure that the pads are paralel to the rotor and not angled and then pump the brake lever to adjust pads and away you go. Rob.
  9. I'm not being rude but didn't like it compared to some of your earlier stuff. Thought it was pretty lame as all you did was copy the same locations and moves that everyone else has done before you. You need more originality. Rob
  10. Little birdy told me that they would only be available as a full bike at first and then a frame would be around £400. Don't hold me to this but it's what i was told. Rob
  11. Rear discs are great, been using one for over 6 months now and have never had a problem or slip. Liking the frame lots, feels like my old pitbull but with disc got a clean 1+3/4 spin yesterday so nearly got it. My ankle is still twitchy after being in a cast but have loads of energy to keep going and trying new things. My 360 gap is coming along nicely too. Rob Thinkbikes.com
  12. Ooooo.. good job. How long did it take to polish up? What colour will the leeson be? rob
  13. Thanks for the comments guys. All the blue is growing on me but would def prefer silver bars and new grips are on my shelf. Just gonna have to wait till it all breaks before new bits again. Thanks to Joe Rothwell for the stickers... finishes it off nicely. Rob
  14. Here it is....... Simtra ST-1. Bike thanks to Tartybikes.co.uk Stan for packing it, Ali for checking it, Adam for taking me money, and Dave............For being Dave New forks, frame and rear rotor. My KOT MS2 was cracked and i think was the real reason behind my Pro II's blowing up every two months. Only some sample pictures at the moment but will get some of Spode and myself out riding soon on the fleet. Might have to change the colour of the bars to silver and sort out a better bash but other than that i'm very happy. Liking the BB height, should be great for comps and the spins.......oh, 720, here i come. I like very much... Rob Thinkbikes.com

    Damon Video 6

This is a public announcement.............. The price of Avid vee brakes has just gone up to due to a new craze of youngster on bikes wanting awesome stopping power! Wonder how long it will take before everyone starts on to vees? Damon you should start wearing skirts or boxers over your trousers. See how long before you're the new nations idol. Rob x
  16. Well you have his address as you had to send the cheque there. You have his full name as it needs to be deposited in to the account. Now all you have to do is write a lovely polite letter to mr and mrs ........... explaining what has happened and that you have proof the money has been withdrawn and that you do not have anything to show for it. Enclose full contact details and mention that you would rather get the matter sorted quietly then kicking up a fuss. If they don't get back to you or tell you to piss off... inform the police straight away. Keep records of all conversations and letters/emails. For future reference everyone. When selling or buying, get as much information as possible. Check their references and contact other sellers/buyers that have dealt with them before. This is what i always hand out and would expect back in return from the other half of the deal. Joe Blog 56 dumby lane tonbridge kent tn8 3fg conned@hotmail.com mobile: 123456789 home: 123456789 work: 123456789 (i give this out as i don't have a land line) With all this, it's easier to keep in contact and be able to pester someone when they're not playing properly. Even when using paypal, get all their details and inform paypal instantly when getting problems. If you want to check things out further, call the house number first to check that it's definetly the correct address and that they are not sending it to a friends house. Never trust anyone... simple Play save kids x
  17. I'm slightly confussed by the matter. Aren't people entitled to their opinions? Was the remark personal or aimed directly at this man? If yes, can he justify his actions for this hearing as 'non-personal revenge'? (really bad grammar) If you kicked up a fuss on the day of an event and caused a scene or set a bad role model (such as a footballer arguing with a ref or fighting) then i could understand the hearing or fine. But footballers don't get punished for all their antics off the pitch, such as fighting, opinions. This is indeed a weird situation. As someone mentioned before 'it's a small community' so word gets around and people do take sides with power. I hope all goes well for you Wayne and that they realise that this guy is over reacting. Good luck for the hearing.Fingers crossed for a pardon x
  18. Adam you weight weiny lol The heavier you get... the lighter the bike gets Be careful you don't trip over that too and break it x x x Rob, cyclesuk
  19. I know what the answer is................................ You need a Scottish accent.... (hint, hint)
  20. I have Spode... u'd gone home by that point lol x When you coming home? x x
  21. I have completley threaded my rachet, just kept spinning around. Spode has also done it too. Cracked shell body (06) Collapsed bearings twice And have completely destroyed the driver when the bearings went last time. I'm not that heavy, use a disc and spin alot. is that a problem? I'm just unlucky but have been lucky everytime they have blown. always after a trick lol. I'm not changing hubs but it does pee me off every time it happens to something that is supposed to be trials specific. Rob
  22. Bought my original Pro II mid August. Now on my 5th I do use a disc but they were designed to be used with a disc and not a maggie! Had most problems sinse getting a KOT MS2. Too much flex me thinks as the frames to crack. Think i've just been unlucky but Hope have always helped with warranty. On average, new hub nearly every two months. Rob
  23. did you buy that Onza in Tonbridge? Rob
