  2. Mr Tom.... you will most definetly be there. Will be nice to watch your smooth tastic style again. See you sunday with Spode and Darren. Rob
  3. Well i was riding for 4hours after work today and it only skipped three times on two power moves so i'll just have to keep it flowing and controlled lol
  4. In my defence.... If i had sent it off, i wouldn't have been able to join you all on sunday. But it's still ridable-ish

  9. Spode will kill me for telling you this but here goes anyway..... His real name is Andrew Miller but has had the nickname 'Spode' for years so had it changed via interpol. (Andrew 'Spode' Miller) One of my nickmanes is 'Duke' so might incorporate that into my name at somepoint. Was put on my frame! (Duke Larkins or YooHoo Lerkins) Rob
  10. It's true, i've done it and i'm a clever boy (so my mum says when i eat all my greens) and i can add all the way up to ........ 1......4.....G...3....9.....46...32..... urm, a big letter! My armourdillo took all the hits i can throw at it and only recently after a year have i finally managed to bend two of the rods and put a neat dent in the downtube. Urm..... they can make your frame sweat a bit which is good for weight loss but then they add like 50 pounds on though. Urm..... welds are the strongest place on your frames so you can drill holes in them to save weight and still have a strong bike?!?! Does anyone remember that post in NMC where a kid drilled holes all over his frame to try and save weight and he posted a picture too. Mission to all......... find that post!
  11. Hey buddy. Have sent you an email with pics and details if your still interested. You can fit gears, i have done and the frame does come with cable guides. Rob
  12. You need big old me to protect you Price of one hug every hour and a basket to sleep in at the end of your bed! Sorry to hear what happened but a nice ride will help you out. Loads of love x x

    Kot Ms2?

Yo ho ho Waynio! Just before christmas i changed frames from a 05 Zoo Pitbull (long) to a 06 KOT MS2 (long). I have also converted from maggie to an 07 hope mono trials aswel. I have found the transition pretty easy. The wheel base difference is noticable depending on the move i'm doing (especially bunnyhops, can't get nearly as high as i used too) and the 'cockpit' position is slightly closer than the zoo. But that is perfect for me as it gives a lighter, flicky feel to the bike as i'm starting comps soon. That was also my main reason for changing frames and converting to disc. I think i have made a wise decision. Ok, the disc. took about a week to fully trust the disc. Waiting for it to bed in which didn't take long and getting used to no noise on the back. That threw me off at first as i was used to hearing a loud schreech to tell me when the brake had locked. Other than that i'm pretty confident with the disc now and would have no problems with rails, tapping and gaps. I trust it to hold, but then i didn't go to disc for street riding. It's competitions where i have heard a great deal of praise. I'm guessing thats why you looking into differnet frames and brakes to help increase your performance in your comps. It's actually pretty hard to damage the rotors when side hopping but then you side to the right! And i'm not really into that side of it. Strengths. Feels alot lighter than my zoo. Has a higher BB rise but compensating with my huge rise stem (i am 6'6" so need it anyway to feel right on the bike) I think it is more fragile than most frames. Is not a big beefy street frame like zoo's, Echo, Adamant (they have all that bracing and struts in the frame to make them stiffer and stronger, but heavier). Thinkbikes do a lot of spins, gap tricks front wheel moves and bmx style lines for demos and the frames are holding out. Spode did break the first style KOT but has since got the revised frame with the extra brace on the chain stay, but has since managed to crack it again in two places around that new brace. I do 180 gaps to 360 spins and wondering how long mine will last. But still loving the frame. Speak to the long time owners of the frame, Adam at Tartybikes (really helped me in choosing a KOT over Simtra) Spode at Thinkbikes (check out the videos to see what can be possible with the discs - www.thinkbikes.com) And Dave at Thinkbikes (very smooth on his KOT) Can't think of any others right now but will keep thinking. Dave and Spode have short KOT's so would be very helpful in queires. Can't remember if Adam is a long or short frame..... ask him. Hope that helps Wayne and will contacting you soon about a project for the summer. Laters, Rob
  16. Hmm......... if i finally send my wheel off and it comes back in time, count me in. Rob i havn't seen you in ages so might just turn up anyway to see you. Fatpants - Your getting a bit of a reputation on the forum (to everyone - he ain't all that, he's short!) Adam, you know we need to ride again. Get steveo to tag along too. Just need a Chai monster now to finish things off. Will keep you updated with wheel progress. Rob
  17. I can see the new fad/craze for 2007........................ Double discs are coming back in to fashion... I can't talk, i've got a 07 hope mono trials on the rear and loving it. Rob
  18. Your 15..... You've got a brand new 07 Pitbull............ And now you want a Simtra and a rear disc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Does money just appear out of thin air in the world that you live in? How about learning to ride it, dent it a bit, and get better before upgrading to something different. Does any of you little boys actually pay for your own bikes out of a job or is everything always gonna be handed to you on a plate! F**king waste of money.............
  19. Well all i can say is that i've got chicken breast nipples, And ass's tail and HUGE goofy teeth! Sorry needed to get that off my chest..... hope that helps newbies Rob
  20. Mr Chai dishing out some sarcasm there. We need to ride soon, our funky bunch of riders. When my wheel gets back to me Rob
  21. What was wrong with the gold Echo...... nothing!
  22. Check the rules little buddy! Your not allowed to sell stuff in the new members posts. Close it before the nasty moderators come find you and have their wicked way with your bum!!!!!!! Rob
  23. Word up James! I like the site, very good for first time. I like that it looked clean and not cluttered with graphics. You've gone straight to the point with it and haven't tried to over do the site. Also, when can i get forms for EBTC as i wanna start up comp riding soon as. Got a long KOT MS2" with disc al over We'll have to meet up for a natural session at some point when my hub comes back to me (broken) Hopefully see you at one soon. Rob
  24. I did use a maggie but have recently changed to a hope mono trials 07 rear disc as starting comps. Both work well (including vees) no matter what anyone has to say about the other. You ride what you decide to, not what everyone else is using. People only use maggies because there are no other better hydralic rim brakes on the market. If a brake is set up well in the first place, it doesn't matter what it is. If your just starting out, don't get a disc! you might go through a few rotors. Then again, you can still damage maggie hosing. Vee's are a cheap way of starting out and any numskull can set up a vee in 2 mins (Ali you Vee loving homo, luv you!) Just use something cause it works, not because it conforms to trials spec. Rob
