  1. Yo peeps... looking to do natural and then some street. Have my driving theory test in the early hours and then will be out riding around 11-12. All welcome..... Let me know if you wanna tag a long. Rob
  2. They upgraded my shell to the 2007 model the last time it went and it's holding so far. I've lost so much confidence when gapping though as i'm always expecting my chain to snap or the hub to go. I'm such a beast to destroy 3 in 7 months. Am pretty smooth though, i hate destroying and damaging my bike as i have to pay for it all Rob
  3. Your not allowed to ride Tonbridge... this is my town and it's for me only............. I'm riding PORC Sunday and then street in Tunbridgewells Sunday too.... Natural and then some street... Come out and play please..... Rob
  4. He's sponsored by Hotwheels, so he can basically have what he wants and then stick mongoose stickers on it They Charge frame is sweet but i don't know how he does some of the moves on it with the seat being there. Beasty boy! Rob
  5. Thats awesome. I had to make myself watch the whole thing though. Wonder if they know any other tricks or is it just manuels and balancing? How the hell did they sit on the headtube and balance and pedal?????? ....I'm so baffled. Good find Adam, Rob
  6. Never ever heat any part of it up! These are the words of wisdom from the Tarty boys....... You'll need a vice, pair of maggie pads (preferably koxx blues or brown), a knife and a nylon mallet. Pinch the maggie hosing in between the two pads in the vice. You're gonna need them done up tight to stop it moving but the pads will not damage anything. Run the knife around the inside of the hosing to chamfer the edges. This helps the barb fit in easier. Use some mineral oil to lube the barb and the hosing and then tap the barb in with the mallet. You must make sure it goes in straight or you'll damage the hosing. Rob
  7. Nice Joe. Great pictures as always. I think you should try and take a different view on your next set (if that makes any sense?) Did that one of me on the 'A' frame come out, from Brentwood? Bum lover! Rob
  8. Something to consider......... Is it the components on the bike or the rider that is causing the breakages? 1. How often do you stack and just let the bike bounce off the ground a couple of times, letting the bars and the stem take all the stress? 2. How often do you feck up side hops and lets all your weight fall down on the brake lever as it hits the wall? 3. Do you ever throw your bike in frustration? 4. Chain snapage can often occur as a result of constantly landing on you bash guard/sump plate because you don't always lad so straight and smash the chain a litttle each time causing it to get weaker. You may be happy to suspect and blame the components too quickly but when you stack, you put them under stress conditions that they are not really meant to be under, such as landing on lever blades, frames, chains, dropping on the handle bars from a height or the stem when the bike lands upside down. Now, is it really the bikes fault or is it your's because you stack too much? Learn to ride better quicker. Rob
  9. If it is one of those new noise frames (however it's spelt) it's basically the first version of the KOT that doesn't have a braise on the drive side. The newer version KOT (MS2) has one on each side. Spode frame kept snapping and now mine got a crack too and only had it since December. You'll need to beef it up a bit to stop it snapping in half on the seat and chain stays. I'll get Spode to post up some pics of the plate he had welded on. Rob
  10. Didn't anyone ever tell you not to wear your sisters trousers? Nice little vid but i'm finding vids to be a little short at the moment. We need more fulfilling vids with a greater range of riding. Rob
  11. Good work there Craig. Like your view on the picture. Might have to send something your way or at least have a chat about ideas for a project of mine. If you are ever out for a ride near London (i hear you have locked the bike away for a bit) give me a buzz as would like to get some new inspiration. Rob
  12. Mr Staples is too Hardcore 'n' Street for rules! Tis jolly good butt lover too
  13. Yeah! Someone thinks i'm hot/stud/buff-ting-aling I would definetly do Matt or Rowan though. Luv you guys x x x x
  14. http://www.thinkbikes.com/gallery/?dir=.%2...ristol070307%2F Only just got the camera (Canon 300D), so I'm not quite used to it. But a few of the pictures of today's ride came out quite well! Couple of example shots: Oops, this is actually Spode on Tall_Rob's account! (We live in the same house!)
  15. What utter bull! I run dual disc, am 6'6'' and weigh just over 14 stone. My disc hold perfectly and never have wheel problems (apart for some unlucky hub problems at the moment) KOT MS 2 frames really hold up to the discs and just a good strong wheel build. Give all your spokes and extra turn to stop any flex. Rob
  16. I had problems with Gaz M. He is/was sponsored by KOT and sold me what he said ''brand new frame, never been built up, no damage'' These were questions that i asked him. I paid instantly and made sure i got all the usual details such as (new members take note) - address - telephone number (mobile and landline, you can phone the landline and ask for them to check before you send off the money) - always ask for the address again so you can check it's not different Anyhow, i got the frame 3 or 4 weeks later and it wasn't brand new. Scratches on the chain stays from side hops (only small ones), marks from were a maggie had been fixed on and small chips around the headtube from pressing in or removing a headset. He did package it properly though. his excuse for not sending was he'd lost my address but all he had to do was ask. I wasn't that fussed in the end as the frame was cheap and i did eventually get it so left it at that. Never left a reference, i might now. He's a little b*****d in my opinion and needs to be blacklisted if he's causing all these problems. Rob
  17. Getting good for such a wee-man! Didn't like the song either, but it's your video so it is how you wanted it. Good work fella, Rob
  18. Well tuesdays are backs arms. I don't know if you saw, but i did over a thousand that time! Oh the burn, it burns so deep! I don't have time to go to the gym so i have sculpt my guns at work. I've been working the ubulous and dorsal muscles. You use fast twitch muscles and alot of corr ranch (hence Daves almighty sixpack, and mine ) For alot of street riders, it's alot of power but for the better, comps boys, there is a lot of stamina involved and higher strength and fast muscle movement as they aren't just doing one or two moves. They have to do a whole section in under 2 minutes and then do 10 sections! If you want a proper work out, ride natural more than street. Also, going down the gym and just lifting heavy weights will not help. You need to be focusing on the muscles areas you use when you rde and working with the correct weights..... i.e less weight, more repetitions. Otherwise your building muscle to lift a lot of weight but only for a short while. You will also lose flexibility too, so always warm up, then stretch. Never start big, build you way up throughout the day. Rob
  19. I don't have any problems with mine. Worked straight out of the box. Just set the brake up correctly in the first place and don't re bleed it every week and you'll never have a problem. Avids aren't everything, just easier to repair and setup if you don't understand disc brakes that well. Rob
  20. Well i'm 6'6'' and i was out tapping huge walls the in London on an old, short Monty. I usually ride a long KOT MS2 but have been playing on this beast till i fix the normal ride. I wouldn't swap to 20'' but would happily play on one. Rob
  21. Discs Work straight out the box! Silent, no grind needed, excellent pad wear, don't slip like maggies (unless contaminated with oil) I love disc/magura fights, bring it on!
  22. Oh yeah, poor adam and his home made tensioner. Worked so well till it snapped..... make it stronger bitch!
  23. It was fine. The weather dried out and we had loads of fun. Wet weather and wind bows down at the site of Chai Monster and Tall Rob
