  1. Now lats what i call service (speedy validation). Not that often in london for myself. Once a month or so but then thats just me. Just keep an eye out in rides/locations or post your own rides. There is always someone to head around the sites with. Im not from london but love making the trip. I'm from tonbridge in kent. Best to arrange rides at the weekend as most people are free that day and you should gwet some riders interested. Lets hope for a sunny day or it will be an interesting ride in the wet. Rob
  2. You silly nin-com-poop! The ride was last saturday (7th) Read the topics fully.
  3. And breathe..... Don't forget grammar in your posts young man. You need a full stop or two in that delightful piece of reading material. Rob

    Oh Noes

But Rowan..... The question is....... Did the saddle i sent you look swish on your frame? If yes, i think we should all be doing a massive search to find Rown Johns a new (old Echo) frame. If no, give up and take up cross stitch! Come on you noobs, get looking.
  5. One man doing alot of work (cutting material, glueing, posting and ordering) + Loads of impatient trials pimps (spend, spend, spend daddies dollar) = Dealys in your orders. Leave Steve alone or you'll have me to deal with
  6. Right then ladies. I'm packed and ready to go. Gonn be getting the 10.57 so will arrive around 11.32 Someone give me a call so i don't get lost. Cheers rob. 07921507114
  7. No, no, no, no, no! I pratt around on one of them all the time in my store. They are shit. Really heavy, shit feel, crap on the rear wheel, it has the lowest of BB height (minus something a think), handle bars too far over the front axle, handle bars too high, unresponsive V-brakes and can only use normal sixe tyres. I advise saving another £150 and getting someting so much better. Rob
  8. I'm coming from Tonbridge and would usually get off at Waterloo East. What station do i have to get off now? If your along the same train line, am willing to head up slightly earlier to ride mate. Just give me a time and a place. Rob: 07921507114
  9. I'm back in! Is it usual place? Shell at 11:00? Someone let me know please. Rob
  10. Hand bags ladies..... Get them at the ready....... And bitch fight away.
  11. Cheers for the input boys. My boss said they were new so thats what i thought. Thought i was being kind letting people know if they didn't already, oh well! Haven't put it on yet, haven't paid for it yet either. I'm not a big weight saver. My bike is quite chunky with a heavy back end so not too fussed about weight. But when you save weight on loads of small parts on your bike it will all add up in the end and you will notice the difference. And yes, just putting this chain on won't make a huge difference. Rob
  12. Had them set up properly today and had a beasty ride. My front wheel didn't fit so put on this really old, crapy wheel that was sitting out the back in my shop. So surprised at how well it rode. Yes they do flex and creek like a bitch and kept coming loose? Lots of headset play? Glad some people have used them before. They are pretty shaddy. Got them off a mate at work. he used to ride trials and had loads of ancient bits laying around. They're only for a week or two but they better hold. Rob
  13. New to me. Got them in my shop the other day. Look perfectly fine to me. Rob
  14. New Kool chain out boys and girls. Just as strong as the normal one but lighter as they have drilled out the pins and removed material from the links on the areas that don't come under stress. £16 big ones, bargain! Rob [attachmentid=7293] (mobile pics again, sorry)
  15. Got some temporary forks on the beast till my new ones come in. USE Trails forks with V mounts. A bit of history on my bike. Rob [attachmentid=7290] [attachmentid=7291] (Photos took on phone so a bit shady)
  16. Slight problemo..... Snapped forks! Only coming if i get my new pair in time. Rob
  17. Well the story goes like this. Was tapping a rather large rock when on one attempt i tapped too low and flew oer the bars. Got back on and noticed everything was wobbly. Dismantled the lot to find a crack 95% the way around the steerer tube. Got bored walking the big home so got back on her only to clip a curb and see the whole fall off (was fun trying to manuel with it hanging off). Got some new Echo Urbans on order from Tarts so can't wait. Been practising a lot of front wheel moves but shows 14 stone of idiot will wreck even the best of forks. 18. Tartybikes is an online company run by two very hard working guys. Thats a lot of work for two people to do. You can't expect everything to go right all the time. People make mistakes. Have you bothered to contact them to let them know whats happened or have you run straight to the critical eye of members on the forum? They are both always helpful, ready to listen to your problems, and eager to resolve issues. Give them a break dude. Can a Mod close this topic please. Rob
  19. I did ask in a shop about the sizes. The lady told me they only go up to size 8, then gave me a weird look and said 'they're meant to be for kids'. I'm a big mutha of a kid.... gimme, gimme, gimme! I'll get some.....somehow he he. Rob
  20. It's so sad..... I'm 21 and really want some too. Where is used to work there was a long smooth path and all the little rascals wizzed along it. I was jealous! Sadly they don't make them in size 13 (bummer) you can get some clip on heel wheels from woolworths though. If i get some i'll post a pic of me falling over. Robster
  21. Can i come alomg Matthew? Let me know mate and i'll get that saturday off from my slave drivers. Ace to ride with you again. Robster
  22. Take it al off and start again. Your going wrong somewhere between getting it all together and tightening up the spokes! Try less turns till you build up tension. And don't forget..... Building a wheel from new doesn't always get straight instantly. Some tweeking may be required. Advise getting a spoke tensioner tool (lets you see how much tension their are under). rob
  23. Hello Tom, welcome to TF. First things first....... Read the New Members guidlines. Will tell you everything you need to know. Other than that........ Chow Rob
