I have a working bike now but I've only been in bristol for about 4 days. AND Im busy with Uni stuff on Sunday but if you cant find a guide, just find Castle Park and wonder around there a bit. You'll see all the famous spots like Lloyds Bank, and the harbor. Haven't had a chance to get out and ride myself but thats what I've seen from just walking around the centre etc. King
Ahhhh, you was implyling the the brake mounts werent flat causing the callipers to point up. I thought you meant if the holes were drilled imparallel (is that a word? ) causing them to toe in or out.
No, not really. The reason people cut down their steer tubes is so that they dont have to run stem stackers on top of the stem, which tends not to be very groin friendly. If you have found a decent stem height that leaves the steerer poking out, then cut the excess off.
Also am I missing the point but a file wont do anything? Its not going to make the brake mount holes parallel. Unless your talking about filing the insides of the hole in the mounts but then the bolt will be all loose and stuff in the whole. God Adam!
The last time I went to Hong Kong (not China, I know) was quite a while ago but I seemed to recall alot of the signs etc had english on them aswell. Cant really help much more Im afraid. It might be an idea if you looked into a tour package or something. From some who speaks basic Cantonese, but has Cantonese speaking parents.
What I like to do is loosen the caliper off, where it bolts onto the mounts, then do the red knobs all the way up, tighten the caliper to mount bolts, then loosen the red knobs afew turns. That way I know the pads will be straight etc....
