  1. Don't no if we've met, but we might of!! so welcome back.........
  2. I'm just telling everyone else how to do it as well
  3. there was a lovely invention years ago called a errrm what was it again errrrm thats right a tape measure The easy way to work out the rim diameter is to get two bits of wire with ends on (two old spoke with nipples glued on is good) measuring 150mm from the tip to the inner lip of the nipple, to get the measurement, put spokes through rim holes at opposite ends hold the spokes together in the middle and measure the overlapped take that off 300mm and presto ie: say if you have an overlap of 52mm the rim diameter is 248mm.... I've built thousand of wheels and the dtswiss chart is never wrong just get measurements right..
  4. Ti-glide means that the hub has a ti free hub body.. or some people use it to describe the old three piece hopes which had a piece of ti in the middle with alloy cups bonded on with a ti free hub.. Get a hope, there the best hub for the money and they are piece of piss to fix if they go wrong (which is very rarely) i've had mine over 7 years, only one axle and one set of bearings..

    Hope Mono

If its not the axle, it's the bearings!!! If its not the bearings, it's the axle!!! Simple
  6. Go on dtswiss.com they have a spoke calculator..
  7. No problem........ thats wat were hear for...
  8. 12 years as a bike mechanic If the plastic cup won't come out!!! take out the other side......
  9. Take the other side out first then the plastic side should come out easyer..... when you have the other side out then do as i said a minuet ago, and use a hammer to tap the screwdriver to cut through the cup..
  10. If you have got the other side out (the bottom bracket it self) the plastic cup can be removed by getting a flat blade screwdriver or thin chisel and making a cut through the cup from outside to in.. this will split the cup and will come out without any damage but don't try cutting to far in to the cup as you might damage the threads... you might also need to to use the screwdriver/chisel on the lip of the cup hitting it from the top or bottom to free it..
  11. Thats all good now go out there and ride that bike like a bitch
  12. My friend dom has a koxx mod and he's 6ft 5" so that blows that theory out your arse
  13. If you try to ride two different trials bikes all the time you would get used to one or the other and end up favoring one more... as paul said ride bmx, downhill or jump the more diverse your riding, the better you can be Ps: don't coddle your bike just because it's all shinny and new ride the f#cking think thats what's it's for, Don't one of those p#ssy pr#ck's who sit on there bike's not riding it because there worried about about scratching it
  14. You do know mod trials came first?? and if you went to a comp or out on a street ride and all the rider stood away from there bikes you would not be able to match the riders with what bike they ride!! we are all trials riders 20", 24" or 26" we do the same thing....
  15. Looks like your only option is try a 24".. or go for a short wheel base bike the leeson 660.. i ride with a kid who's a short arse (5ft) he rode a mod, and he liked my bike when he rode it and bought one him self.. If you can can get to a comp or on a ride have a go on peoples bikes, most trials riders will let you..
  16. Does it matter???? there's tons of 26" trials bikes that are not designed for street/comp ect. it's how comfortable you feel on the bike.. i ride comp and street on a leeson and people say it's to short!! but fu#ck em, i can ride circles round them all , all you can do is try one??
  17. If you need to find out any spoke length go on dtswiss.com they have a spoke calculator..
  18. Don't f#ck about trying to spray it your self get it powder coated look in the yellow pages or go on line theres loads of people that do it, i used a company they powder coat washing machines, they they did a great job, left it with them for 1 day and cost £25
  19. There are no parallels between the mods and rockers of old because they were at each others throats, a turf war if you will.... if we take on the ethics of mod's v's rocker's today they would be a complete separation, mod's only riding with mod's stock's only riding with stock's, and if ever the twain should meet there would be war ....... What next? gangs of trials riders looking for the next groups of outcasts??? lets go pick on the skaters.... the bmx'ers..... see how that go's.
  20. gold coloured coca-cola yo-yo i ment... :$
  21. Hope are the hame for hydo products and it's a hame you can trust, so i'd go for hope...
  22. Who gives a sh#t it's all the same if you want to be a good allround rider you need to do both the problem is that street riders now are trying to be more bmx. thats not a problem but agian who gives a sh#t because it's all trials Ride and be free
  23. If you have striped the threads for the crank puller, take it to a bike shop as they should have tools for the job, like what looks like a big tuning fork! or an over sized crank tool where by they cut a new tread and use a bigger extractor.. If you don't give a rats arse about the arm and it's a square tapper, then use a hack saw to cut the arm off as there's no danger of doing damage to bottom bracket cos it's hardened steel
