  1. My mate has one, there a nice ride well balanced and stable in the air and spins well..
  2. Life a sh#t then you die.... live with it... My bikes not had a problem in over a year then in space of two weeks i snap a pair or bars, then some spokes, then one brake pad comes apart, then my disc on my other bike naffs up then my chain starts skipping!!!!! it happens.... live with it!! fix it!! keep riding
  3. It's all pesonal preference!!! I use the best forks ever made in my opinion which are fattys r's I've use p2's and snapped them, there to weak for street.. but good for off road.. alloy and steel forks have the same problem!!! the lighter you make them, the thinner they are, the weaker they are, and the more they flex... the good thing about alloy is that a heavy strong fork is still as light as a steel pair!! You have to find a middle ground!!!! if you a street monkey or a harsh rider you might need a strong fork!! if you mister soft!!!!! then a light weight fork might be better

    Hope Hubs

HOPE ALL THE WAY MAN......... Hope are the best hubs out there, there after sales is second to none. been using hope for 8 years how and will do so for a long time to come...... NEXT TOPIC PLEASE....
  5. I can wop out a good 6ft 180 gap from wall to wall from track stand, and 5ft on a reverse 180.. As for on back wheel about 7ft to 8ft depending if i land on front or rear wheel
  6. If it's square tapper... shimano un52... or un72... if spline.... fsa's are ok???
  7. If your riding a mod you can and should use a bash plate, there great for balancing on and protect the frame The new gen of uci mod don't use bash plates because they try not to use them and there not alowed in comp.. they use a bash ring to protect the chain/freewheel if they get it wrong..
  8. Don't no about the monty.. Ti spokes are still as flexible as normal spokes (as in when you bend then) and can be rebuilt when you do rebuild use finshline wet lube on the nipples as you thread them on this will aid in re-tensioning the wheel..
  9. The easy way is to bleed up from the slaves (on the wheel end) one at a time... And to make sure you have no air, tap the hose splitter as you bleed and take your time..
  10. If you do a search it's a normal topic.... the easy way to say is.. if you you do comp, you have to have 6 gears.. if you want gears have gears if you don't......don't as for me i use gears because i'm not worryed about hitting my mec (and i don't) and i like the option of being able to change gear when i need more speed or traction... there will be lots of people saying go single speed....... or gears all the way...... but the choice is yours!! you have to ride your bike, no one else
  11. Those fsa orbits with the needle bearing on the bottom, it's more than likely the bottom cup has cracked where the collar goes in the frame... i've done this before to many of them head sets as i used to have them under a sponsorship... if it is! at least get a pig, they take the stick..
  12. Trust me they do.. my front wheel weighs naff all.. it's a custom made ti-mono (36 hole) laced on a 517 cd and i used alloy nipples with a 1 cross pattern. and is one of the lightest wheels i've ever built and yes it can take some stick!! (spun off a 6ft tower in a demo in the rain and landed front wheel first, and it's still spot on) just so you know i worked in a bike shop and have built wheels for every bike from dh to road bikes that have competed in iron mans..
  13. My we the people has front and rear brakes, a small gearing (compared to to normal bmx). i ride it mostly on street and ramps and i don't care what people think of me on it ei: i do 720.. bar spins, grinds, tailwhips, manuals(front and rear), then turn round and do a kick hop on to a rail and gap drop in to a ramp!! some bmx's don't like it, but i don't care when i get back on my trials bike the only think that i feel is the normal "f#ck me how light is my bike"...
  14. Second oldest so far... wooo hoooo 28 I'll still be riding my bike when i'm 90...(if i live that long )
  15. Tapping axles is fine just remember get good stainless steel bolts, tap them deep and use plenty of lube
  16. The advantage of grip shift is that you can move the brake lever further down the bar and it is more out of the way, as for changing when you ride, you won't because you hold the grip not the grip shift... As for the cog cutting in to the freehub body, it's were you use one gear all the time and the pressure forces the cog in to the splines on the freehub body... this happens if you run gears of not.. even if the cassette is bolted together it can still happen..

    Snap!

Those ones were 3 1/2 years old and have allot of stick I normally change every 2 years, but then you can never guess when there going to brake

    Snap!

Snapped them at the doney yard ride in december... it was doing a gap to front wheel, and yes i went down like a bag of sh#t but i still ride a pair and i trust them
  19. I've got loads or shimano ones if you ask............... And it won't cost you a penny
  20. Sorry i meant use, i still have a full set on the front but slowly losing them on the rear, and dt swiss ti spokes only came in 2mm plain gauge.
  21. It's simple... can you live in one gear???? if yes go single speed....... if no go for gears........ The only real restraint is if you do comp! and i mean ones that enforce the 6 gears minimum!! I've got 6 gears no my bike but i rarely change them, but when i have changed it was for a good reason and was able to do something that a single speeder more than likely not be able to do......
  22. It was 2 years before they started to brake they started on the drive side on the drive spokes(the ones that point backwards) always going at the nipple.... but they are f#cking good spokes.
  23. I've had ti spokes form about 5 years There amazing on the front and it's weigh about 15 ti spokes to 1 normal db one... The only thing i will warn you about is they like to snap under very heavy load as in on the back wheel were they drive.. and disc when you brake.... i have never broken a front spoke but i've only got 12 left on the rear The spokes i used are dt swiss
  24. if you like ability to change gear or still do comp/off road stick with gears.. by a sram road cassette as they have close ratios (15,16,17,18,19) then take out the ones you don't use and run 6.... the idea behind single speed, is take away the rear mec so you don't hit it, but then most of the time you have to run a chain devise so what's the point I still run gears and hop to drive side and don't hit the mec + theres nothing like having the option to change gear for that shity obstacle
  25. 13ft 6" off a school roof.. bit bored of drop offs now theres no real skill :$
