    Bmx Questions

Quick news, found some exhaust black spray paint for motorbikes, took it to my sprocket, and it looks so nice now *minus the nasty Geisha colours*. Butttt back to the point. I've been wanting to do this for a long time now and i've finally managed to talk my mum round into letting me build a mini ramp in the back garden (dad isn't into the idea, but meh i'll build it anyway). So i'm in the need of some knowledge really 'cause i know sweet f**k all about what kind of size i'm going to need, i don't want any stupid answers though . I want one side to have a platform for footjams and the like, and the other i'm not so botherd about as it will be against the hedge so i can just use it for airing out of and doing turndowns and tables etc. etc. Flick wise, bearing in mind i hardly ever ride any park, i don't really want a wrist breaking amount of flick on it, but there's nothing worse than a mellow ramp. I have an area of ~ 13ft by 9ft, but obviously i don't want to use all this space, and the smaller it is the more kindly my rents will take to the idea, but neither do i want it "my council built this skate park, and all i got was a 2.5ft wide mini ramp" size. So yeah dimensions? Tips for building? Also if anyone knows of any sound mini ramp plans that i can use then it would be really appreciated

I found the complete opposite with my Lotek Deltas, they are really bendy and soft so cushion landings really well and provide a good grip and form on the pedals without making your foot hurt or completely self destructing in a few weeks. Plus i think they're dropping the new range soon, defintely worth looking out for that, think they have a new sole design made from a different material as well. Check out the little interview with Rich Hirsch on Grindstate, also while you're at it and if you haven't check Lotek's site in a while, some new stuffs been put up Lotek And yeah i don't scuff with my shoes anymore, the whole stamp and run technique works loads better, and stops you wrecking £50+ shoes, so s'all good.

    New Video

F**cking hell, those up to fronts are huge . Amazing riding, and the editing was really good too.
  8. Yeah sorry lol, i didnt make that clear, i wasn't saying you did, but i was just saying generally, and wrecked was the wrong word to use. Either way i won't sit here and lecture you about what the right thing was to do , 'cause like i said i probably would of done the same.
  9. As much as i agree with what Simpson said, i know i probably would of done the same, if a 'best' mate did that to me i'd be proper pissed off, and probably do something similar to what you did. And after a while, the whole "i was drunk thing" just gets old, its always everyones excuse. I mean it's true about the not wrecking her night 'cause you like her and all that, but then your mate doing that (i wasn't there so i wouldn't know how drunk he was) twice, knowing you like her, and making no real effort to hide the fact takes the piss.

    Bmx Questions

I've rode with quite a few brands of skate shoes, but none come close to the feel of my Loteks, they are seriously the comfiest shoes ever, look awesome too, plus they are a real good company to support. They seem to have it spot on with the sole size as well, unlike a lot of skate shoes where you feel like your riding with wedges on the bottom of your shoe. So yeah, i couldnt really big them up anymore, i love mine, get some Lotek range at Alans
  11. Haha yeah i did, but meh it was raining and i like working on my bike. Got the new stuff from the Source, will try get some pictures up tomorrow.
  12. Personally i'd go for the toothpaste, always looks good when you have matching forks in my opinion, although if you think they'll out last your frame (it's a sunday i doubt it haha) then get black if you can't be arsed to re-spray stuff. Anyway hope you like yours as much as mine, really are an awesome frame, just looking at them you can tell they are made to a high standard
  13. Don't think its been posted. Fly bikes- Dos
  14. Thought i'd get some pics up before i recieve my new shit from the source: S&M thin seat, Fit OG grips (yeah thats right haha, new seat). Last weekend 'cause of the rain i decided to do some weight whoring so yeah got some pics up of that . Also cut the seat tube down as well so the seat sits lower. Anyway on with the pictures: Drilled out the guts and seat clamp, all the top peice with the notches that clamps onto the inner peices are drilled out as well but i couldnt be botherd to strip it to take pictures of it all. Removed the reflector mounts on the pedals, removed the replaceable pins, then drilled holes in the pedal body ( i do know they won't be strong, but i'm a light rider, and pedals are the next thing on the list anyway) Drilled the seat post out, and removed the taper at the top so it can be fully slammed. *next update when the new seat and grips arrive*
  15. Now i won't say that was no good or anything, 'cause there were some serious lines going down there, and awesome style and flow with it, including Chase Dehart style wall rides But really with the whole style thing, most peoples own style can be broken back down to other peoples, like idols they used to watch or recent videos, and they watch it and pick up bits from it, and it's those little pieces that will build up their style, so when it comes down to it a lot of things you see won't be completely original and all that, so you only have a few front runners pushing the whole style thing out e.g Cleveland and co, Scotty Cranmer (may not be a good style, but for those ramp rats ), Ian Schwartz, Edwin, Cameron Wood etc. etc.... Anyway i'll quit rambling, end of the day, awesome video
  16. Looks awesome, especially with those rims. The only thing i don't like is the Czar graphics, but meh no big deal.
  17. I don't really see peoples problems with him doing that, props to him for wanting to and putting in the effort and thinking about how he can improve his bike instead of just riding the bike and parts given to him. And with people doing this often good technical advances can come through and good ideas for future parts etc. I guess i'm going to be biased towards it anyway, 'cause i'm a bit of a weight whore (with bmx mind ), and i love just taking standard parts and seeing what you can do to them and weight you can lose, and if you do end up getting rid of a lot of weight, it's quite a comforting feeling knowing you've put all the work in and seeing the end product
  18. haha yeah that got a little giggle out of me too, must of really hurt though, think it was Chester Blacksmith.
  19. Another Goods video, crazy drop in at the end.

Shame you can't get mosh stuff over here, i seem to remember them doing a real nice Sprocket and guard, the one Ian Schwartz was/is? using, think it's called the Method.
  21. Ahhh the joys of tf's "one person broke theirs, therefore they're shite" mentality.
  22. haha nah i never straighten my hair, just pretty straight naturally, do sometimes wear small amounts of gel in it though. and the cap just goes on like that to keep my hair from going in my eyes, thats why i always ride with either a hood or cap on.

Yeah thats what i heard about them from some places, but i've never had the chance to try them. Just need some more tyres 'cause all the brakeless stopping hasn't helped anything, and the KHE tyres seem a good way to lose weight at the same time. Guess theres only one way of finding out what they're really like, just a bit of gamble at £23 a piece.
  24. Got a few quick pictures tonight just for the sake of it really. Both are taken of me doing a sketchy ramp i set up, so just a hop onto then off (but you have to turn slightly in the air to avoid riding straight into the patio doors lol), as i was practicing my boosts on it. So nothing special, but i quite like these two:
