Holy shit Chase DeHart eat your heart out
  3. I think that pretty much sums it up, wasn't the guy that was with him even laughing at some points as well. Some funny stuff in there haha.
  4. you're doing what i used to do when i learnt them on my bmx. I found the best thing to do was to stop putting my foot as high to clear the bike, and you have to wait for the bike to come round more before you get ready to hop back in, so don't go for the pedals too early. And when the bike does start to reach the point where you're getting ready to land back on the pedals, remember to keep your weight forward, so that the back end doesn't drop. Also it may seem like a stupid idea, but when you do go to get on the pedals try to jump back on to them, instead of getting one foot over and on first which upsets the balance. It will catch you out the first few trys, but i found it was the best way to learn them, plus it looks a lot smoother. Edit: Another thing, which you seem to do anyway, is always keep your eyes on the pedals And this is a how to but it's for bmxers that are brakeless, either way it's worth a look: Footjam whips
  5. haha, i did think it looked strange when i saw it, but it's just the way i do bunny hops, i kind of pull it all up into me then level out and get tucked in, then extend forward, and that picture is taken at the stage where i'm still pulling it up.
  6. Tssss brakes, who needs 'em , see with bmxing you don't have to waste money on stopping devices But seriously, it is a very very nice bike, and i love KO frames, so yeah top job
  7. Yeah, there were two sizes: long and short
  8. Has been a long time, must be over a month now easy. Simply 'cause i've been bmxing, and i need to sort my trials bike out, but haven't got round to it 'cause i've been bmxing too much lol.

    Problem Page!

Oh Davey , right, i went round the girlfriends house a few weeks ago for the first time, and we were just in her room for a while, and her mum got really funny about it, and she walked in and just stared at us, then asked to see her, and i could hear the conversation they were having through the wall, and it was along the lines of "you've been in your room for ages, what have you been doing" kind of conversations. So fair enough i thought, i guess most mums can be like this. Butttttt i was talking to the gf tonight, and she was telling me about how her and her mum were talking about sex, and that her mum was fine with it, and she is going to get her the pill. So here is the problem; why the sudden change in attitude. And what if her mum talks to me about it, am i meant to take the "yeah ok thanks" approach, or the "i don't think we will need it anyway" approach. Aaaaah what to do lol
  10. I remember when i first saw that, crazy stuff.

    Bmx Questions

My rear rim is a Primo balance 6000 series, and i have had no problems with it yet, and it has stayed true pretty well (and it's 36h), so yeah so far so good, it's light as well. But i am a pretty smooth rider and also pretty light. The only little problem i did have was where the holes had been drilled out, it hadn't been cleaned out properly so there was shards of metal that would drop into the tyre when i did a big hop etc etc.., then slash it to peices (took me a while to find out where all the flats were coming from haha). So i took it off and took a screw driver to the little shards to remove them, and i then put two layers of rim tape in just to avoid another flat. As for the footjams, it's a bitch isn't it haha. I was doing footjam whips a lot yesterday and my little toe got bruised (as well as nearly ripping my fingernail off). But i did find when i was doing them that if you tie your shoes up tight, it stops your feet from moving forward and backwards, so you stop hitting your toes into the fork when you come to a stop, so it seemed to help. It was something i noticed Eddie Cleveland does in the how to Footjam whip video. Edit: got them sorted now :
  12. To be completely honest the videos are a little shitty. But on the constructive side, get your brakes off if you haven't already, then next time your there on the bmx you can run into the chavs and claim it's 'cause you can't stop, and you will also manage to hit the conservatory. All in all that would make for a better thread
  13. I'm getting a farmers tan lol Been out on the bmx most the day, and got chucked off some car park then chased.

How about this: Odyssey MDS. It costs a fair bit, and i haven't spoke to anyone that has had one, but it sure looks pretty tough, and comes in 25t, 28t and 30t. If you really want to go all out, you can buy another guard for the other side, so nothings going to get to your chain or sprocket. Just spent a while filing down my seat tube, so when i get my new pedals be on the look out for some new pics . I think i might be buying an Animal GLH tyre for the rear soonish as well, 'cause the Fit one i have on the back has loads of cracks in it and is pretty much bald.

    Bmx Questions

I've kind of noticed that as well, don't get me wrong though, there are a lot of sound people in bmxing, it just doesn't seem the same as riding with a group of trials riders, but i guess it would if you were with the right group of bmxers. As for the whole coming off and getting hurt thing, thats one of the reasons i started trials when i was younger, because there was something about bmxing that i thought if i started it i would end up busting myself up real bad, but so far (touch wood) i haven't come off too bad, it's just a confidence thing. And yeah, you don't have to be boosting the biggest ramps at your park to be good, nor do you even have to ride park. Get a bmx and do your own thing, it's one of the beautys of it 'cause you can just have your own style and do what you want.
  16. I also have one on my bmx, and i couldn't have put it any better. It really wouldn't feel right, especially with things like switching from fakie straight to a trick that involves a pedal kick, as your feet would fly round until it engages (usually resulting in smashing your knee on the stem), and then when it does finally engage you have no real power left. Plus like Mark said the engagement does feel a bit "mushy", but for bmx it doesn't really matter, as you set of at steady speeds, your not pedal kicking. The drive-side bearing in mine feels really raw as well like you said, and i haven't had mine long either

    Bmx Questions

I'm not too sure to be completely honest, but a lot of top riders seem to be running them, many that do a lot of grinding and are fairly harsh riders, so i'm guessing they are pretty durable. I'm sure i saw Scotty Cranmer using some in that cement park session video, and Mike Brennan uses them if you look at his bike check on Bmx online, as well as other riders such as Ian Schwartz, so yeah you get the picture. The main reason i orderd them is because i really don't like metal pedals, 'cause when it comes to tricks when i hop back in i always beat my shins to pieces, so the plastic ones will be a bit easier on my shins. Plus they are lighter than most standard metal ones, and i'm a bit of a weight whore The only thing i think they might be a bit bad for is riding in the wet, if the plastic studs have been ground down a lot from pedal grind stuff, but i don't really do that anyway so they should be fine. But when i get mine i will put something up here about them, and tell you what i think, but for £10 you really can't go wrong.
  18. Got this picture of a b-hop the other day, It's not at full height or tuck, but i still kind of like it. The run up was a little over two metres and on grass haha, so i was pretty pleased with it.

Check the bmx pics thread And a bit of a heads up (thanks to Sponge ), the Odyssey plastic pedals are now availible from Pijin (who are currently out of stock, and we were told they might have some back in stock in a few weeks) and Winstanleys who have some 9/16 in and are currently getting more 1/2 in i think, so snap them up while you can
  21. I've just been looking through most the shops i know and found nothing, most of them will of sold out as they lower the price for the 07's coming out, so if there is any about they will be very hard to find. And how come you are looking for the 06 instead of the 07?
  22. Oh my days that is beautiful. You just need to get those parts together and get it built up, and when you do, make sure you get some pictures

    Bmx Questions

The tf bmx crew is now growing haha, good stuff We need a Tf bmx ride sometime as well, that would be awesome. And on the question front: has anyone got any tips of hopping into nose manuals, because i really can't do them. I'm fine when i lift the front on the object, then flick the backwheel up, then nose manual along it and hop off, but when i try to b-hop into them the i can't get the back to stay up.
  25. Got some recent pictures of my bike, nothing major has changed, but i'm still thinking of getting some bigger bars, new forks and some animal tyres, but money is a bit tight right now lol. I'm also thinking about putting some pegs back on as well, and i was also going to put the cassette wheel on for a bit, but i realised i had cut the chain too short, as the cassette has a 12 tooth driver . I was going to file the seat tube down a bit, but decided i like the height it sits at, because it isn't stupidly low, but it still sits out of the way for tucked hops and the likes. But all in all im a bit reluctant to spend anymore money on it, simply 'cause i'd rather save it up and buy a new frame later on, like a Sunday Wave in toothpaste mmmm So a few stickers have been taken off, and some put on, it's taken a few more hits here and there (a few being from nose manuals), including enough inner tubes to last a lifetime, and the tyres are also missing a few chunks lol. Everything on it feels nice and comfy now though which is how i like a bike to be, like the worn grips, so it all feels pretty good, minus the pedals as they wobble about a bit, but i can put up with that. Anyway enough of the rambling, on with the pictures:
