Hello.
I seem to be having a problem with getting the right tension in my wheel and having my pads square to my rim.
My problem being that if I have my chain set to the perfect tension, my rear wheel is set quite far back in the dropouts. And in turn my brake pads don't align up square to the rim. This gives me a poo brake.
Now I've tried removing a link out of the chain but then the wheel is too far forward along the dropouts, and the brakes can't be square but this time they are angled the otherway.
I need the rear hub to be bang in the middle of my drop outs for my brakes to be square but if I do this with the longer chain then its wayyyyy too slack.
Do I need a specific trials chain as the one I'm using is a bmx chain bought from my LBS.
Hope it all makes sense, can get pics too
