My front lever does the exact same so I tend not to use the TPA on it.
You shouldn't use the TPA to set up your brakes anyway. You should only use it as an emergency adjustment when your pads wear down a little. Set up your brakes manually at the slaves and you'll be sorted .

Swapping the T-bird, the difference will be amazing mate. Best thing I ever did going from a T-bird to a T-pro.
