the weight of your bike is such a big issue now what happened to the good old days when it diddnt matter lol

It doesn't. I could't care less. I just buy good end compenents. I never EVER buy something for it's weight.

But sometimes drilling holes is fun :P

my Yaabaa is a very practial 10.06kg, thats with usable tyres and a disk front brake.

Now dont you be picking on my irc :P

Going to be replaced with something from conti that should be a touch lighter :)

Front disk is a good point, my vee is more than useable though, just the noise is a bit annoying :(

I reckon the bike could go down to about 8.7-8.8kg with a bit more money thrown at it, Im happy with it at 9kg though seing as its already better than I am :D

not according to tarty, mine is 8.57 kg :giggle::P .

That's with gigapipe DH and pretty heavy trialtech front hub. So There's enough to lighten up :-

Until Rob posted this i had no idea on the weight of my Ebay special Adamant A2....

As it stands it is 11.1kg's ... but who the hell cares, as long as your having fun what is a kilo or so between friends, and with good but slightly heavier parts it may withstand my crap riding for longer!!! :D
