Okey.. So i got my echo 2006 rim a couple months ago.. And suddenly i noticed that it was about to split itself

I've only got one dent, but i got that after it decided to split itself. Here is some pics:

The first pic; it looks like a dent, its not.. I was just unlucky with the grinder. (and its not as deep as it may look)

It's like this half-around the rim.

Has anyone else experienced this? :ermm:

I havnt heard of this happening, but it seams that its only cracking where you have been landing hard, when dinting the rim... this is surly going to put ALOT of force onto the rim (cause it goes thin where its cracked on the inside of the rim)

f**k knows where im going with this hehe.

No, i aint heard/seen of it happening.

Almost looks like you've ground away too much material so that you've gone almost through the rim wall, and now the wall and main central body (bit the spokes are to be found in) is falling away from them.

How thick a rim wall is there left?

New rim time I think... :-

The 06 ones has extra thick rim walls.. And i havnt grinded it much..

famous last words will.....

My onza hog has split in one place. but that was because it was bent over once, then I folded it back out and ofcourse the metal fatigue set in and it just snapped off whilst riding once lol
