Laptops are slow fullstop. For 1 major reason. They all run 5400rpm hard disks which suck by todays standards :lol: They lag so badly on hard disk intensive programs. And thats on a better laptop than yours. Personally i want to go down the shuttle/tft route in the near future. But ill dedinately going for an Athlon 64 unless intel do anything amazing. Its not quite hundreds and thousands because they dont have the sugar coating but they just like bits of chocolate really :( Banana sandwiches are the best with just a sprinkle of sugar :)

Gmail (Y) You can use it with outlook too you just have to enable POP mail in the options. Elce buy yourself a domain as most domain people offer free mail no hosting required.

You can get most albums for £10 in supermarkets. I saw a program a while a go on TV about cd prices and on the average £12 album £4 of it is profit for the music shop and it turns out the band get less than £1 from it (Y)

Thing is with software these days theres not much point because most things have a just as good freeware/opensource version available anyway. Free - Filezilla (Alternative to something like cuteFTP and better), Winamp (What else does anyone need for music), BSPlayer (Better than WMP imo), Openoffice (I never need to make office documents only view them), Thunderbird (I prefer to outlook), Firefox (Prefer to IE), Audiograbber (Rip Cd's [that you legally have]), Quicktime, Realplayer etc all free The only programs you mite want that are not free are - Windows (Comes free on most computer), Nero (Comes free with most burners), Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Etc etc etc

Just dont force anything and everythings fine if it doesnt go in most of the way by hand then somethings wrong (Y)

Toshiba :P they make laptops for a lot of other manufactures anyway and are generally the best. Friend just got a 3.4 P4, 512ram, 60gb hard disk etc etc from pc world for £700 quite a bargain for the spec. With laptops specialist computer shops ain't always cheapest some of the high street shops have some good deals too.

Yes you do you pay to avertise. It tells you exactly how much when you add it things like extra photos cost extra. My fees just get paid by direct debit monthly.

Check the ide settings in the bios make sure its enabled. Are the missing drives all on the same lead? If so try put them on the other ide channel as that one may be goosed :o
