Yea im with Kris on this one. You probably could get Cod 4 to run on the laptop, but it is going to run a bit like shit, and not be very enjoyable. Golden Eye is shit(even back in its "heyday" it was mediocre at best when compared to a PC FPS). Why you would want to torture yourself with it in this day and age i dont know! And you have to be silly to think that Hardware is more powerful the software devs can use.... I mean seriously! Take a step back and have a bit of a think, they are a business. The produce entertainment for people. Why produce entertainment for people if no one has the equipment to run it? Thats why it may not seem like people are not "pushing hardware". EDIT - @pfoster, good idea about upgrading the gfx card, although being a laptop it will be nigh on impossible. First he would have to find out if the motherboard even had a PCI-e slot, which is very doubtful, then he has to find somewhere to purchase a mobile card which is again very doubtful as most of it will be built on to the mainboards. Even if he does manage the above, it will cook in he laptop because of the reduced airflow and increased heat output that it wasnt designed to handle.

I just download the Adaware free version to test, downloads and scans fine without asking to purchase anything. Also installed abit of malware on a test hard drive and scanned removed and didnt ask me to purchase... i dont know what youve done wrong, but it shouldnt ask you.

I think he is talking about swapping the whole hard drive in the case, not the individual platters.... EDIT - although if he has purchased it as an external drive and not a caddy+hard drive, then it will be a sealed case. So if you do manage to open it, you wont be able to put it back together.

Im currently working for a massive out sourcing company, just been promoted so im working as a John Lewis Software support agent. Just getting there has been a long long long road though. Spent 3 years at college, then have spent the last 4 years doing IT courses at home, while working for Acer(which is proper shit) for 3 years. Best way to think about it is to go though and get a shit job, stick with it for the fact that it looks good on your CV, its money and you should be able to stay alive. Once you have a job its easier to jump between them, and there is that constant reminder of wanting to get a better and easier life. There was deffinately a few time that i felt like just upping and walking out on Acer, but then i landed a job offering support for Toshiba, where i got noticed by a few important people, so ive now been move to John Lewis, but have been told when there is a team manager job i should really go for it. I was lucky o get a foot in the door, but when you do get your foot in it is a lot easier to move up the ladder. I hope that makes sense, but in a nut shell... try not to be to picky, especially in this economic climate where jobs really are hard to find and keep.

When i had the GU's and Echo i was alright, fairly good at side hops, but was only just starting to gap to front, and tap. Even now im not fantastic at tapping or hooking. But personally after the issues i had, i wouldnt recommend Echo Lite or Gu Forks

I had GU forks for about 3 months, but snapped those as well. Im running the Atomz forks at the moment and have been for a while, although looking at changing them as i think they are going to snap soon, and will be going for the trial techs. Edit - cant spell Atomz it seems

I had the echo lites a couple years back, they look like they are pretty much identical to those... they lasted me a week.
