  1. Almost correct. It's Fsa K-force DH. Do you think I would risk my back and expensive helmet using an XC bars in trials? . The DH version is already light enough (210g) as it's full carbon (not a carbon-wrapped aluminium).
  2. 8,79kg Actually, there's still few milimeters left between the cable and bold tyre. Should be fine with a new one. Anyway, I ride 99,9 street and 95% in dry so a slick tyre isn't an issue. First of all, it is unbelieveably light - 360g. My previous tyre was Maxxis MaxDaddy 2,25 so it wasn't a trials-specific tyre too. Given the one ride I've had on the new setup, I don't find any difference in grip between both.
  3. I've just switched from a BB7 to vee today and, after the first ride, the front brake works horribly. It locks the wheel instantly with no modulation and it's mega loud. I'm scared of riding above 5mph as the breaking would be followed by falling off the bike. I think it's because of Plaz pads and painted rim. I'll probably look for either standard avid pads or coustvees.
  4. Been a long time since my last topic here. So many has changed, just not the frame. Thanks to ImageShack for Free Image Hosting So where's the ti? Well, in the ti nitride coated bb spindle Hope you like it, Cheers Zordon
  5. It's German name, so you pronounce their "w" as "v". Shvaalbeh
  6. Were too long. Snow flakes lacing sorted that.
  7. My first real trials bike. Perfect chain tension.
  8. I got this: http://www.schwalbe.com/gbl/en/bicycle/bmx...tn_subPoint=BMX The 2.0 version that came to me is 360g. And it has a less slick tread I think. 1119g full front wheel, including inner tube and skewer. I doubt Dob mag rims would be capable of taking titanium spokes. I heard that you need more tension to get the same wheel stiffness as in the case of steel spokes. Steel spokes tension already pulls nipples through Dobs.
  9. It's another hub model - A1266B: http://allegro.pl/item361234391_chosen_a12...rzod_szosa.html The problem is Dt Swiss does not make lighter spokes for 20' wheels. They start from 200mm. I need 180mm
  10. Hey Adam, could you specify the weights of the rim and spokes separately? Would like to see, where I can save some more grams. My new front wheel is Dob (335g) + Dt Champion spokes (152g) + Dartmoor alu nipples (10g) + Chosen hub (80g)=577g. I thought it was already a superlight wheel. Apparently I was wrong
  11. Will they ever understand that people want long frames? Or would long mag frames be so weak that they'd collapse instantly?
  12. Low gravity area somewhere near the Hudson's Bay in Canada.
  13. I've never had Tensiles so I may be wrong but I think you need to tighten your left crank, as it doesn't seem to be fully on the isis spline.
  14. I think he meant a shimano stx hub with xtr freehub/driveshell.
  15. I'm very tempted with these bars: http://www.allegro.pl/item352515529_kierow...super_cena.html Do you think they will last under trials abuse?
  16. Thanks for the offer, psycholist. This reminded me that I have a hosting, too so I decided to put the file there. Updated link - http://www.biketrials.byethost9.com/results/uk.xls
  17. Nothing can hide from my eyes :zorro: ! http://spherebike.com/ozonys/swf/videos/ His power is just unbelieveable
  18. Yet another undownloadable video. Are you kidding me?
  19. The survey summary is completed. It contains all raw submissions and simple tables with questions, options, number of votes, and percents. Sometimes percents for a given question do not add up to 100%. They maybe less than 100% when some respondents skipped this question, then it can exceed 100% in case of multiple choice (checkboxes) question. I had to disqualify some responses (they are shown in the results file), e.g. when somebody just clicked "submit" without answering any question or when somebody declared to live outside the UK and still continued to complete the whole questionnaire. Surprisingly, some people were unsure about their sex and left the question empty, maybe I should have added more options for this question Let me know if the file doesn't work. The link: http://www.biketrials.byethost9.com/results/uk.xls I hope the results will lead to further improvement of British trials shops so you can enjoy riding biketrials even more
  20. Power Rangers and marmalade Actually, I have not seen an episode of this. Ok, the survey is finished. I did not expect such a huge response within 72 hours. I received almost 100 results from the UK survey and over 120 from the Polish one. Big thanks to everyone who participated! Now I am going to make some sort of summary. I will post it here soon. Thanks once again!
  21. We have few possibilities of writing a master's thesis at my uni. We can write a totally theoretical one (this may be a dissertation with specific goals etc.), or based on company internship, based on a public opinion survey, or to write a project of something (like business plan). All depends on the supervisor we choose. My first supervisor was from the logistics department, which demanded to write a thesis based on a internship. I had no idea what I could write about, then the idea of a master's thesis on biketrials came to me. I changed the supervisor and started to write something much more interesting than boring academic stuff. I had to prepare a set of hypotheses and this survey will prove them right or wrong. That's my main task. Good luck to you with your dissertation, too. Hope it will be successful
  22. You may also try different brake noodles. Some have a shape that raises the cable a bit.
  23. I'll put all raw data into an excel file, make some summary and post it here when it's done When I started my studies, my faculty was called management and marketing. After some time it changed to management but actually the courses taught here didn't change at all. My specialty is international business and we study a lot of management and marketing subjects in international aspects. Good thing is that all courses are in English and we study in international environment (with students from all over Europe coming to Poland for a semester or two). We can write master's thesis on a very broad range of topics (e.g. logistics, econometrics, marketing, management, entrepreneurship etc.). I wanted to write about something I love, which is biketrials of course. To fit into "international" some more I decided to conduct a survey in two countries. The thesis is in English so one day, when I defend it successfully (in a year or so), I can post the whole text here Once again thanks for your time, the number of completed questionnaires is already impressive. Keep them coming
  24. Thanks dudes! Keep them coming My master is in management (international business). We have a lot of laugh at Erasmus/Socrates students from Spain, who barely can speak English in classes
