  1. At last I have found a method to download from this shitty server. Here is the list of the videos uploaded by "photo-by-sergio": http://www.dailymotion.com/photobysergio 1. Select the video you want to download. 2. Copy the link to the vid to the website shown below: http://keepvid.com/ (probably you will have to choose "dailymotion" option) 3. Copy the download link to a new browser window and open it, your browser will ask you where to save the file. 4. Rename as you wish ("Vincent Hermance - Street à Paris.flv" looks better than "4541111.flv", doesn't it?). 5. Enjoy!
  2. Damn, every time you post a new video I can't download I hate this website more and more.
  3. trials on the moon? no way, with all this protective clothing, air bottles, very uncomfy riding, no fun.
  4. I found an interesting article yesterday: http://science.howstuffworks.com/missing-gravity.htm I also read somewhere that in that area a human normally weighing 70kgs would actually weigh 3kgs less. Translating it to trials, a 10kg bike would weigh about 9,6kg. Off course, human muscles "get used" to lower gravity over time but a short trip to there would produce some nice experiences. Imagine Tra doing stuff there
  5. They discontinued manufacturing hollowtech 1 crank at the upper class levels (xtr,xt,lx, not sure about dewhores) and, at the same time, upgraded lower classes from square tapers to hollowtech 1. So if you don't find any second hand, have a look at, for instance, alivios.
  6. I should give you a warning though. My mate had some Lx hollowtechs 1 machined to accept freewheel/screw-on sprocket. They lasted only few months until they cracked. Maybe the machining was badly done and it took too much crank material out, i don't know. I'm also using machined Lx now and I'm worrying a bit.
  7. He took out the middle of the mag platform and, at the same time, didn't take out those alu bolts closing the way to the axle bolts. Could shave another 4 grams. Hope he removed pins from the other side of his pedals.
  8. The first reason why people don't use them in trials is FFW. Then for the rest it may be a matter of aestethics (sp?) - you have to use big ugly bashring to cover a 22t chainring. Also in hollowtech 2, when you break the axle you cannot just go to a lbs and buy another bottom bracket as their axles are a part of cranks not bbs - hollowtech 2 bbs are nothing but just cups with bearings. IMO as for trials (ab)use, a better solution would be the hollowtech 1 - those cranks are already hollow but still separated from bb axles which can be easily bought at any bike shop. I'm currently using LX hollowtech 1 cranks that are tuned so they accept either screw-on sprocket or freewheel. The crank arms weigh 400g only (175mm).
  9. Getting back to the topic, BT Raven 7.0 frames have horizontal dropouts with 135mm spacing. They come with integrated special chain tensioners so no snail cams' hassle with them.
  10. Has Spain not achieved the Cnc technology yet?
  11. Now do the same test hopping it down from the top forwards...
  12. My front bb7 (lever, cable, hose, caliper, 160mm rotor, pads, all bolts and spacers) is around 490g.
  13. Weight of cables, hoses and pads adds another 100g or more but you took the weight of xtr levers' pair. My full rear vee setup is over 550g and in few days I'm switching to dengura (300g plus 2bolt carbon booster should weigh about 350-370g).
  14. Are there also 20'/19' magnalium rims? How much do they weigh?
  15. You just need to sort by name once or more and you'll see the proper link.
  16. I had the same when I rode double disc. The solution is easy - replace two or more rotor bolts with ones that can be tightened using allen key so you'll be able to make it tighter (I can never get my rotor bolts really tight using a torx key, bolts round off too fast).
  17. Why has it an alloy rotor on the rear? Weight considerations or different braking properties?
  18. Great vid, enjoyed it a lot. Thanks!
  19. My mate wanted something more powerful than his original 180mm rotor and switched to Accent Blade 203mm. Here's a link to a Polish auction (sorry I didn't find english version): http://allegro.pl/item206268017_nowosc_200...de_203_mm_.html He said he was very impressed with the power. It's also very lightweight, considering its diameter (130g only). And at the end of the day, it looks pimp (reminds me a bit hope gothic rotors).
  20. Hose ends are very important. Make sure they are metal not plastic and they sit tight on the hose. Some good hosing will also make a difference. Currently I'm running a bb7 160mm with an xtr lever, standard cable, and jagwire hosing (with jagwire hose ends). The power adjustment on the lever is set for max power (=most spongy option) and I still have unbeatably solid lever feel hope trials owners can only dream about haha.
  21. Rafal Kumorowski (world's vice-champion in 2006) has always been running 175mm cranks on mod. Shouldn't be bad to try it. I have just switched from monty 158mm to machined Lx octalink (arms are only 400g) 175mm ones. Can't say anything yet as I will ride only this thursday.
  22. To the admin of photobysergio site: could you switch to another streaming video host? Apparently the dailymotion.com have changed their coding so I cannot download videos from there anymore
  23. Another rebranded Mielec frame, first was Mikebikes, then Heatsink Uk24 and now these. If you really want a Mielec frame (which I would never recommend), buy it directly, at least it will be cheaper.
  24. The creaky sound coming out of your rear disc is horrible Good to see that it holds up very well, though. Nice riding too, especially those smooth sidehops.
  25. Some of the footage could have been seen on Rafal's videos, some is unseen. Nothing special but at least download-friendly zordon06-07.wmv If it doesn't work sort order by name one or two times.
