  1. Hey dude, what's the track? Sounds like In Flames to me but I haven't listened to this particular one. Edit: Alright, my mate's just found it - In Flames - Abnegation. Can't wait for the full album release. To not be too OT - great vid Ben, especially the music
  2. I used an Echo vee booster for some time and it was less stiff than my current one which was the cheapest one in my lbs (like 3 pounds or less). The only advantage Echo could have was better tyre clearance. But it was on mod. On stock i believe any booster should fit.
  3. 8cogs + mech and you're claiming you have a trials bike? ;p
  4. If you're talking about that sidehop Dani made on some vid in a trialpark in Spain to some big stone, you're definitely wrong. It was only written on the screen something like 160cm but it certailny didn't look so high. By the look he sidehopped around 140cm. Can't argue about that's still ridiculously huge!
  5. Nice idea uniboy since I am also in need of particular vid - SPANISH FLY featuring Phil Williams (Metallica St.Anger track).
  6. Want a short one? - here is a trailer containing some unseen scenes - Redbull-biketrial-session-trailer.wmv And I made a mistake - the comps took place in 2005 not 2006.
  7. I think Deng should answer to the increasing number of people using rear vees and design frames with canti studs.
  8. There was a huge indoor event organised by RedBull in Warsaw (PL) in 2006. Here is a 1h+ video showing, among others, Kenny Belaey, Rafał Kumorowski and Paweł Reczek riding sections: http://filmoteka.choody.com/LocDog/Redbull...ial-session.wmv Watch and enjoy!
  9. My mate is visiting Ireland this week and he wonders if there is any rider in Cork or Mallow or somewhere nearby? If yes write where and when they usually ride. He is without bike there but just wanted to see others riding. Thanks
  10. Posłuchaj rady Locdoga - gruba opona plus cienka dętka Try-all tyre + thin tube ***
  11. I like the idea with vertical dropouts. Spring-type tensioners are imo a better solution as with them the chain is never too loose or tight. Very often screw-on sprockets/freewheels are not perfectly aligned with the chain line so you can see its tension varies when you spin the cranks. Now what they need to design is some clever tensioner that's well protected from impacts.
  12. Hopefully they won't when ceramic/plazmatic coated rims are available.
  13. It looks like you could extend the bolts' holes in the adaptors a bit so the whole brake together with the booster will move upwards and make some more room for the tyre.
  14. Depending on the seatstays geometry (works with my GU 07, didn't work with Monty 221Pr) adding some spacers under adaptors and/or booster (often together with getting longer bolts) will make a better tyre clearance.
  15. When I started watching that vid I thought "oh my god, NeilT on a mod!" because he looked almost identically. Good quality riding there, enjoyed it
  16. Octalink is similar to the Isis interface to this could work as well - my cranks were badly loose and the bolts were tightened to the maximum so I just put some epoxy resin glue in between cranks and bb. Been working great for over month now without problems.
  17. Well, something like half price including postage. Check my classifieds' topic HERE
  18. I've got two brand new 12t kogs for sale at a bargain price if you're interested.
  19. I don't ride any big so I doubt I'd chip it. For the price I could even pay 150% of average trials price for ceramic 19' rim at least 38mm wide. I'm using Coustvees, they are intended for ground rims. I like them because they give a solid lever feel and don't loose as much power on a smooth rim as soft pads do in wet. Of course I could grind my rim. I did so a year ago on another rim. It lasted 1-2 months and after that the brake worked worse than on smooth rim. To keep the brake performance at a decent level I should then regrind my rim every 1-2 months and that would kill the rim quite fast, I suppose. Now I'm using a smooth (almost) rim and it's fine to me but not superb. Therefore I thought ceramic would be a perfect solution for me. The only better I can imagine is a magnalium ceramic one (or carbon ).
  20. Have there ever been any ceramic trials (i.e. WIDE) rims available? I know Mavic made some ceramic rims but they were half the width of trials ones. Yeah, I suppose someone will say "just grind your rim" but somehow I can't bother to do it.
  21. The whole website is dead to me?
  22. You cannot compare it like this. 2,5 on mod is much bigger than 2,5 on stock. I'm using mielec vee adaptors on Gu 06 frame with Avid Ultimate calipers and half worn Try-All stiky tyre on 48mm rim and unstretched chain. Vertical clearance is fine, should be enough for a new Stiky tyre with full tread, not sure about bigger tyres like maxxis or monty 2,7 though. I removed the adjusting washers from the inner sides of the brake pads (coustvees, quite thin backings, comparing to plazmatic ones) and put one or two regular 1mm ones so the pads contact the rim flat and I don't rub the brake arms with my legs.
  23. What about Threshold ones? http://www.trialsin.com/ =>parts=>mod parts
  24. I have found a method to download from dailymotion.com, which is used by "photo-by-sergio". Here is the list of the videos uploaded by "photo-by-sergio": http://www.dailymotion.com/photobysergio 1. Select the video you want to download. 2. Copy the link to the vid to the website shown below: http://keepvid.com/ (probably you will have to choose "dailymotion" option) 3. Copy the download link to a new browser window and open it, your browser will ask you where to save the file. 4. Rename as you wish ("Vincent Hermance - Street à Paris.flv" looks better than "4541111.flv", doesn't it?). 5. Enjoy!
