  1. This is because Chris King does not manufacture a Bmx Iso Disc hubs. Only due to the fact that shells of classic and bmx ones are identical and in case of classic it is possible to replace it co iso disc one, somebody one day thought why not to replace the bmx one with iso disc one. That's how the ck bmx disc hub emerged. Unfortunately, because of shorter axle in bmx hub, the disc mount got closer to the axle and than it should be. I think modern mod disc frames (montys, koxxes, czars?) have international standard disc tabs. In case of mod hubs and their short axles, their disc-side flanges have to be much closer to the centre, making whole shells much more narrow. The pink colour of your hub tells me this is probably the Inur's former hub He made a very nice guideline for solving your problem: http://www.bikepoznan.com/readarticle.php?article_id=61
  2. This is the shittest company I have ever met. It will be a miracle if you receive exactly the same geo as you have ordered. Nothing but waste of time, money, and nerves.
  3. Remove the bashplate and machine down the frame mounts dedicated for bashplate. Bashplate toghether with rubber, bolts, and frame mounts are approx. 200g while you can have bashrings starting from 30-40g. That makes a big difference. Additionally, without bashplate the frame will last longer. For the front wheel you can buy an Abant front one. The front is something like 5xx grams (and it can still be lowered by replacing that rim with an old echo '05 rim that weighs 330-360 only). Rear Abant is also rediculously light - about 720g. However, you should bear in mind those are disc-only rims. If you choose to get Abants then get Magura Martas 273g complete front, 287g complete rear (alloy rotors, maybe there are even lighter replacement alloy rotors on the market). You could also try to get some superlight xc/road cranks and machine it down to use freewhel/sprocket. Currently I am doing it with Shimano Lx Octalink. Arms with spider are 415g only (175mm). After machining it down they will probably be under 400g and you get a very stiff hollowtech crank. And there are for sure much lighter cranks on the market. If you found some isis "machineable" light crank it would be even better as octalink bottom bracket are made in 99% by shimano and they aren't so light (210-280g). As for isis ones bottom brackets can be much lighter (150g). Run foam grips shortened to the max. They usually are 20g a pair while rubber grips are closer to 100g. Chain - Kmc superlite Pedals - damn hard to find but I saw on some asian website wellgo magnesium pedals with titanium axles. They were 300-330g. If you don't find them, there are Dmr v2 magnesium pedals with titanium axles available aswell weighing not much more. Front tyre - try some bmx one. Surly you can find some weighing under 500g. Rear tyre - old Monty tyre '05 with yellow strips was 920g only. Not sure if i'm correct but didn't Triton made a 1200g titanium mod frame?
  4. It would be very hard to conduct a research in a way typical for adult people to get knowledge about kid’s needs. This is caused by they psychical immaturity, lower communication skills, and what is very important – protection from their parents. Therefore, we need to find out a different way, via which we will be able to learn about children from them. In our opinion, one appropriate idea would be to enter kindergartens. We can there organize some sort of games and simple talks connected with fun and joy. All those activities would be attended by an experienced psychologist or just recorded on videotape and then analyzed by a children psychologist. Working on some project for my uni.
  5. I think it is no problem to do a double disc hub shell if only someone has access to a cnc mashine. Also welding an additional disc tab to the right fork leg shouldn't be any problem (we are not talking about strength of such a solution here).
  6. I saw a cheap bike advertised on billboards and it seemed it had vee and disc on front too. But after taking a closer look, it was in fact just a vee and mere rotor even without caliper.
  7. Pointless. The finger pull power would split between two brakes so each one would receive 50%. Also the bigger amount of cylinders would increase the friction inside the braking system, hence decreasing the power even more.
  8. Downloadable version is here
  9. My friend has found these two videos which I have never seen here yet: Clips_5 on Zoo Pitbull Blurbs on Adamant To mods - delete this topic if it's a repost or I wasn't supposed to post these videos.
  10. I have never done a drop bigger than 1,2m with this hub, also no big other stuff. The only fault on my side I can find is that the wheel was not perfectly aligned with the frame/chain line, it was a bit closer to the left chainstays than to the right so maybe it could somehow change the forces distribution when engaging but i am sure a lot more people don't have their rear wheels completely in the middle between the frame stays. Hope i will have it repaired under the warranty (fingers crossed)...
  11. Yesterday, when I was riding, suddenly the drivetrain started to behave like the chain or sprockets were about to break. When I was trying to pedal backwards there were huge frictions. I thought the chain was just improperly engaging a sprocket so I just used a bit more force and then something cracked. At the same time the rear wheel started wobbling like the axle was snapped. I went back home and disassembled the hub. Some small metal bits and bearing balls came out from the hub interiors. I realized that one of the driveshell bearings (that located closer to the center of the hub) totally fell apart. Also the bearing leftovers made some small marks on the axle (in place where the bearing normally rolls on). The hub is Chris King Bmx with disc conversion (hubshell replaced with a shell from isodisc). I'm gonna send it soon to be repaired (almost 4 years of warranty has left). Anyone had similar problem?

  16. There is only one adjustable bad in bb5 (two in bb7). Also pads are of different shape (don't know if pad compound differs).
  17. At the momment the only solution I have for downloading the movie is the following link: mms://stream.onet.pl/media.wsx?/turystyka/200612/277723edda.wmv You can download it simply by putting the link, for instance, into Flashget. Anyway, I experienced problems with the streamed version because with my videoplayer I couldn't move forward/backward the movie and my friend using a different player could do that but this time there was no sound

  22. I know one guy who used plazmatic alloy rotor and plazmatics. Don't know if it was better in dry but it virtually didn't stop at all in wet
  23. My mate is interested in a Toxsin 20.1 short frame. On the Toxsin website it says that the wheelbase is 958mm but it doesn't seem so short on pics. So could somebody write what is/was the real wheelbase of his toxsin 20.1 short and with which forks? Thanks!
  24. Could somebody upload it to some more download-friendly site (tv.isg.si/youtube)?
