  1. A venue that doesnt take me 3hrs to drive to
  2. Good chance I will be out on Sunday with a few lads. Drop me a pm if you want.
  3. They are echo team 06 forks. Or atleast thats what the 20" version were called. I still have the 06 Echo Frame that go with those forks in my shed. Also have an 06 Gu Typhoon built up. Plus im still currently riding my Eno from 2005.
  4. There should hopefully be 3 of us from Inverness coming along. Possibly 4. Can we enter on the day still and pay then?
  5. Enjoyed that vid. Looks like a good laugh. Those lads on the mods though just look like they are a danger to themselves. Almosy look like they are trying to hurt themself.
  6. Sounds promising Kev. I think me and Connor are going to attempt a few again this year. Will be good to see everyone again!
  7. Silky Smooth and a Quality Style. Really liked that!
  8. Looked good mate. Enjoyed it. Made me want to go ride to be honest. That huck thing you do on gaps though, almost looks like your loosing power by hucking so soon. Good riding though buddy
  9. Just put a specialized tyre onto the back of my bike. Not the lightest of tyres but it hasn't failed me grip wise and aside from the slow rolling effects it has its pretty much bang on for me. Specialized do a good range actually, Worth having a wee look at maybe. The one I put on was the Butcher. Dead easy to get on. Sealed straight away with no issues.
  10. No, Just get some thinner tubes
  11. Wouldnt say it was all down to luck. Care and maintenance plays its role aswel. If you take the time to clean and lube moving parts, such as freewheels, they are certainly more likely to work for a lot longer. In this time I have owned other freewheels such as Tensiles etc. I managed to break a Tensile after just 2 hours. Which could maybe be luck, or could be just a bad freewheel. But given a freewheel is manufactured to a high standard and is looked after. I see no reason why it should break. Also, 72 engagement points is a fair amount compared to those shitty adicta(dicta?) freewheels that used to come on nearly every bike.
  12. Got these on my full sus and they are lethal. Considering there 180mm and im riding 650b I would say 160mm is going to be great on a mod.
  13. Had an Eno for almost 9 years now. Still doesnt skip. Used fairly frequently. And im not exactly the easiest on freewheels.
  14. Make sure your tyre was seated on the rim properly? Tube wasnt getting pinched under the tyre beading?
  15. Well, The only problem is the hub really. But the rims flaking and just looks a bit crappy to be perfectly honest. So by the time ive bought a hub, spokes and then built it. Ill just be saving myself the trouble by getting a new wheel. Ill go check out Source in the morning and see if I can get something together.
  16. I currently have an 09(ish) wtp trust bmx. Everything on it is just the standard parts. I've had a lot of issues with the driver though. I've wrecked the bearing in it 2 or 3 times now. First time i managed to get it through warranty but then it happened again and i had to just fix it myself. So long story short, Im looking at getting a new rear wheel for it. Now, Having not rode for a few years i very much doubt ill be any good at first. So can someone recommend me a relatively cheap wheel thats not just going to collapse straight away? The idea is to just run this bike for maybe a year or 2. And if im still enjoying the Bmx by then, I'll just buy a whole new bike really. Having looked online i've found a few around the £60-80 mark that look to be reasonably decent. Is that what I should expect to be paying?
  17. Me and another lad from Inverness should be coming now. He just finished fixing his bike today so he seems pretty excited to come along.
  18. Will hopefully make it. My hand/braking finger is still in bits from Killin though. Connor wont be making an appearance, broke his middle toe and fractured the 2 on either side. I was at Aviemore last Saturday though. The trials area is very overgrown and shabby looking sadly.
  19. Personally, snail cams are a lot easier. They are very easy to use and make setting up fairly easy. Getting exact setting is easier with intergrated tensioners. But they come with there own problems too. Both my integrated tensions have rounded, then bent. Then snapped. Just causing it to be a pain really. (I have a Neon x-ray, probably one of the more problematic integrated systems i have found) Obviously snail cams ar not faultless. But they are less of a fuss i find
  20. Ok, One lad has now cancelled on it. So my self and Connor will probably be showing face. If you are all camping we may have to join in on that if that is ok? Think Connor will be doing intermediate and I will be doing Expert.
  21. There is now 3 of us planning to head down for this event from Inverness. We're not so keen on driving down in the morning though since we'll need to set off fairly early(3hr drive). So planning to stay there on the Sat night now. Is there anyone else staying there on sat night? And if so are you going to be getting hotel organised etc or just pitching a tent in a park and seeing what happens?
  22. Me and another lad are planning to hopefully make the trip. Cant open the entry form for some reason. So dont know details that are in it. But how far from the actual village/town is the venue? Just so we can gauge times etc
  23. I just recently went single walled(on 26). I opted for trialtech rims. In all honesty, Its held up very well so far. Ive given it a fair beating and it has buckled quite badly etc. But just true them out and its good to go. So far it has not flatspotted either which is good. Baring in mind that i managed to flatspot a 20" Echo 07/Tr rim before it had been ground. I would say Trialtech is a good safe point between light and strong
  24. Great vid as always. Editing and song was spot on.
