  1. This is the bit that keeps touching a nerve. If my bike isn't a trials bike, then what the hell is it?!
  2. I own a 24" Inspired. I ride natural and street and park and dirt and pretty much anything that comes my way. I'm also planning to do comps in 2012 with some other 24" riders. It's funny how it's always a one sided attack in these kind of arguments. Always the guys who have streetier set ups being talked down to by the guys who ride 'proper trials'. Which is unusal because the majority of the streetier riders actually used to ride 'proper trials' first, then they realised that there was so much more to the sport, so they chose a bike that is versatile instead. It's also kinda funny that the Inspired style bikes are probably the closest thing to an old school trials bike that you can get your hands on at the moment, so you could argue that the highly modified comp bikes aren't real trials bikes! But I wouldn't try to argue that because I'm not a bellend. I just like to ride bikes, not argue about whether something is or isn't trials. Who gives a shit?
  3. Wow. Almost can't be bothered to reply. It's as if 'ghostrider88' dismisses Inspired's (and other similar steeds) as actually being trials bikes. Trials-Forum minority in militant street hating shocker. Who's have thunk it.
  4. I guess I better take all the non trials specific hope parts off my bike then! While I'm at it.. the tyres, cranks, bb and rims better come off too!
  5. Massively bumped this topic, but thought these Hope prototypes look interesting..
  6. There are no words to describe how chuffed I was with this! I f**king love Columbo! Aside from that I got a load of tools; imperial spanner set, adjustable wrench, pliers, side cutters, multi attachment ratchet screwdriver. I got a cool hat, some long sleeve thermals, some headphones, a dog that humps your laptop, a mug and lots of smelly stuff. Oh, and socks too obviously...
  7. IIRC = If I Recall Correctly. Oh, and 140mm refers to the distance in millimetres from one end of the bottom bracket axle to the other.
  8. Your chain line is going to be a bit pissed if you run your cranks like that

Now everyone can get back to the video in hand, I hate riding in the wet it scares the shit out of me, so was very impressed with you guys. By the way, if everyone just blocks him, he'll be talking shit to himself all day
  10. Unusual to drop that in someone elses video topic, especially when it actually isn't
  11. I almost didn't watch that because of how gay it all sounded. I'm glad I got a little bi-curious and clicked play though, there was some sweet riding in there, the good kind too, no brokeback mountain shit. B +
  12. The proof of the pudding is in the eating? I think sometimes people forget that if theory was foolproof there would be no need for prototypes.
  13. Can't think of anyone off the top of my head.. No one memorable anyway.
  14. First bail, 2:30 bail and 2:50 bail were pure gold!
  15. I can't really give a proper review because I only rode it in the dark last night with a headtorch on and in the pissing rain earlier. The brakes aren't bed in yet so it's hard to judge certain aspects. However from what I can tell so far; it pops likes a balloon, it manuals forever, it looks the absolute tits and feels way more stable on the back wheel than I imagined (more stable than my fourplay) so I feel as though it's going to be pretty good for trials moves too. I'm not too sure on spins yet 'cause I didn't have my ankle brace on and I can't twist without it. Setting it up was a breeze, everything part of the bike is so well engineered that it just slips together and everything feels really 'positive'. Whilst I can't comment on the tech 2-trial braking performance yet, the levers are awesome, I love the adjustability, it's the first time I've had a disc brake that feels right. Usually I just have to get used to the way it feels, this one allows me to dial it to exactly the bite point I want. When this rain buggers off I'll go hammer it some more and try to get those brakes bedded in. Reviews aren't my forté :$
