Putting The Feelers Out - Trials Festival Near Preston, End Of August?
Sam Nichols replied to AdamR28's topic in Trials Chat
If I can work out some way of getting back then I'll come and check it out for sure. -
Slightly better than the other video, but still pretty awful! Anyone else find the dangling chin straps pretty annoying?
-
That looks pretty interesting, really really shite video though!

My 24" is faster round the local BMX track than my DMR Sidekick. I haven't taken it to the trails yet but I'm expecting it to be awesome when I do.
-
Yeah you're right actually, I should have used a better example. I've ridden other 26" bikes too though (streety ones) and I just can't get on with them. Each to their own.
-
Much better! Thanks, Tom!

That's what it used to look like but I accidentally hit 'normal view' and now there's no option to go back. I can only assume it's invision being a bunch of money grabbing dickwads by forcing me to pay for something that was once just a standard feature. Pricks.

Well that's pretty lame, the IPB app is £1.50 and essentially does absolutely nothing. Bastards.

I'm on my mobile but I have the full version of the forum and all I want is the mobile one. Can't find the bit where you change it anywhere.

I'm not sure how tall Ben Rowlands is exactly, but he's pretty huge and is very comfortable on his 24". I know Ali rides 26" street sublimely but if you want a bike that is more streety than trialsy then a 24" inspired is the way to go. I find 26" wheels a bit too sluggish for street, harder to spin and don't manual as nice etc. Is there anyway you can find someone who has one that you can have a go on? I used to ride a 26" Revel and it was getting to the stage where I really needed to get a new bike. I had one ride on my flatmates new Inspired Fourplay and I pretty much ordered one straight away. They're soooo good. I could never ever go back to 26" now!

Brilliant!

I did wonder what all this was about when I received an 'add' on facebook. The design is cool but I'm more interested to see if these street comps come into fruition and also how they turn out. -
This reminds me, I really must get some more filming done and get a new edit out soon. In between showers of course...

G's surname is 'Marin'. If we take A as 1, B as 2, C as 3, etc. Marin becomes 13118914. Back becomes 2 1 3 11. If you take the numbers from the word Back and perform this sum... (3^2) + (11-1) = 19 If you then google 13118914 (Safe search off, image size Medium) and select the 19th image you will see a picture of a young girl pointing excitedly at a delicious looking strawberry cake, presumably taken on her birthday. The picture is about as relevant to this topic as this topic is to trials chat. The only difference is that everyone likes cake.

Basically if you learn them into a foam pit - you're a pussy, if you learn them onto a resi - you're a pussy. Go to your local concrete park, boot it at a nice quarter, pull back, twist, land, get bitches.

Soooooooo yeah, I can't get past level two...

I haven't climbed since I was a boy scout! They've opened a new climbing wall near me though so I'm going to go and check that out, not quite the same as the real McCoy but as far as I know there aren't a lot of outdoor climbs in Norwich!!

Trialsy Bike That Can Cover Distance?
Sam Nichols replied to JayCam's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Well, if the bike you're looking at buying is already a singlespeed then you only need to change a sprocket or chainring. If it's a single ring on the front and multigeared on the back then you just need a sprocket and some spacers. There are lots of options. -
When you ride the Skye you don't feel like you've just bought a fashion accessory. You really do feel like you're riding a two grand bike that has an incredible spec and is built to last. It feels so stiff and responsive. The geometry is a tricky one because it's all based on opinion. At first when I was riding the Skye I felt completely at home, it's compact yet roomy enough for a six footer like me, so you can really throw it around. I always considered it to be the closest thing to a BMX that isn't a BMX, which was exactly what I wanted. Curiously though, my trials moves have actually improved too, I can now gap further than ever. It pops really easily too and manuals forever. I really can not fault the bike at all, which is the whole point of spending every penny you have on a bike, right? You also have the piece of mind that you will not kill it, everything is so well engineered that you just won't break it! I can't see the replacement axles being big sellers!! I can't really think of anything more to say, it's just totally worth the money. People will argue that it isn't, but it really really is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dC-6tgdgkT4
