  1. My Adamant A3, frame is new for christmas. I've been building it up slowly from a T-pro. The only main T-pro parts left are the front wheel and forks. Parts Z00! bars Echo stem Echo rear wheel with freehub Echo CNC cranks Skf BB Gusset Slim Jim pedals GU brake booster Echo headset. Comments welcome. (excuse the tacky red crossover .)
  2. Hi, im building a new front wheel with a disk hub. I'm probably going to get the Hope pro 2 or XC hub but im not sure which rim. I've got an Echo '07 on the back and im very pleased with it but when i looked at the '07 front wheel on tarty its 723g. Thats almost twice as much as last years rims (409g). I know that the '07 rims are stronger but is all that extra weight really necessary? Looking at the monty ti rims, they are a similar weight to the old echos and i've not heard of any strength problems with them. Somebody please tell me why the new rim is so much heavier and if it's noticeable when on the bike. Cheers for all help.
  3. Are the forks new? If they've been used before then they might still have the spacer from an old headset stuck on them. I had this problem a month ago, it's just worth checking.
  4. You can hear dust? No I dont think it'll affect how the frame performs. As for the dent, i've got a much bigger one on my chainstay and I haven't had any problems with it yet.
  5. Yup Love that song. 'How soon is now' - The Smiths There's a better version though in my opinion by Love Spirit.
  6. Awesome song . My all time favourite has to be 'Dreaming of you' - The coral.
  7. Alot of people buy the clear hoses and put food colouring in them to change the colour.
  8. It might be that the top will go back on if you apply pressure. Try putting the stem and top cap back on and tightening them gently.
  9. I've just taken mine out today. I hit them with a woden mallet .
  10. I agree, but they are designed for mods and might not fit all stock bikes. Go for the heatsink one, all their stuff I've tried so far is top notch .
  11. yeah the Deng frames have wider hub spacing to allow for snail cam use. The problem with this is that hubs without snail cams don't seem to fit as well. If you are getting the Team frame then get an echo, zoo,GU etc. hub for it. That way it's guaranteed to fit. Plus the deng hubs come with their own snail cams ready fitted .
  12. This should help: http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....459&hl=rims I have an echo 07 and it's great .

Were the brakes on the bike when you tried this? The cylinder might just be a bit stiff, in which case when one pad touches the rim the extra pressure will force the second to move.
  14. Lies , the 07 echo's are very different to the weaker 06 version. I have a 19" 07 echo rim and it's great. So far most people on this forum have given them good reviews too .
  15. If that's the case then it will be the other way around e.g bleed bolt is M8... I think.
  16. I've got the Echo freehub (basically the same) and it's never skipped. They are as loud as a profile and im my opinion look nicer .
  17. Compared to trials bikers, there are hardly any unicyclists on this forum. So the chances that any live near MK are slim . Im in a similar situation because the nearsest trials biker that i know of lives 15 miles from me so I just ride with BMXers normally.
  18. Gusset slim jims They're much nicer than V8s.
  19. This should do: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=2123
  20. Both frames are VERY different. Make sure you try both before making your decision. Personally I find the monty frames to be too short for my liking, so I'd suggest the echo. Also, just because some people say the monty is better for natural riding, it doesn't mean the echo is bad at it.
  21. The Heatsink booster is designed for 26" bikes and so it won't fit most mods. I've got the GU booster and it's great .
  22. I used to think that until i got one. The echo freehubs are great. They are easily as good as the profiles and look alot nicer too.
  23. I think the reason it didn't fit is because the heatsink boosters are designed for stock bikes. If you have the Adamant A3 then any 4-bolt deng booster should fit e.g GU, Echo and especially Adamant.
