I didn't take offence Space, I just thought i'd point out the error in your ways, what with you thinking your argument for 'space being big' was convering all bases, when really that itself is a very shallow view, considering my arguments! If narrow minded f**ktards are people who don't understand something as much as someone else, you are one!
-
None of what you've highlighted is really mutually exclusive. Plus, I think what i said is worth more of peoples time than being called a f**ktard!
-
No need for that mate. Especially seeing as the f**ktarded one here is the one that doesn't realise that various laws of physics com into play on these scales, ie you. One of the simplest is that the speed of light is the fastest speed anything can go, for technical reasons. That puts a number indistinguishable from 100% of the places in your last picture more than a thousand years travel at light speed away from the earth. A species would have to be seriously advanced to overcome this problem. I'm not saying that it's impossible to overcome these problems, and maybe one day we will. Maybe. But if they were easily overcome, that would mean that many species would be able to reach us, and you'd think at least one of them would make themselves known. Basically, you've argued against yourself. YES, space is big, so why the hell isn't there hundreds of alien species amongst us? Yes, they probably exist, somewhere. But, we can assume that these places are too far away becasue they would be in contact (at least one of them).

That's not very insightful in this context seeing as we are talking about things flying around on our own planet...
-
So you believe that there are aliens roaming our planet? oooookkkkkaaayyyy... I bet you're also looking forward to santa clause coming in a couple of months. I mean, we've all seen the videos

Here is the template I used for my CV.

When this happens, (in firefox) right click the text and press 'show image'. Reason you can't download flash player is probably that you are on a limited account in xp. Log in as the administrator account and try again. Mark

(mac Question) What Is Best For Running Games And Xp?
Extreme_biker0 replied to Joel's topic in Chit Chat
Yeah he's right, look it up. If you didn't know this already, i wouldn't mess around trying to get it working, as it's probably over your head and you risk messing your computer up big-time. If you really do want to start messing with it, read up about it first. Google is your friend. -
Haha a little harsh lol Pity it's illegally de-restricted, otherwise, if what you say is true about an uneven road surface throwing you off, you would have been able to claim compensation in court. Too bad! Hope your leg heals fast, and you learn to be more careful!

How Do I Get Music Onto My Sony Ericsson K750i Phone (like A W800i)?
Extreme_biker0 replied to SQuiT-man's topic in Chit Chat
By the way I have one of these phones for sale (k750i) if anyone wants it? I just got an upgrade on my contract. It's locked to o2, but you can get it unlocked. It will work with any o2 sim card, including genie. The camera on it is incredible, contact me for some pics taken with the phone, and also for some pics of the phone. Its in perfect working order, and not too bad condition. Normal wear for 2 months use. Comes with 2 batteries, charger, usb cable, all the crap that comes in the box. Don't know if i'll be able to find an original box though. Will make sure it is well packaged though. Only £40 Give me a ring 07841830672. Mark -
Come to think of it, it CANNOT be a problem with your hardware setup, as the other windows disk booted fine. It must be a problem with your second windows bootable cd. Replace it.
-
Firstly, i'm pretty sure you wont be able to use this cd on your new computer, as the version of windows it installs is locked to only run on the machine it came with. This is the one you need to be using. Check there are no cards in any memory card readers. You say your cd drive is the first boot device already... well double check also does your computer have multiple cd drives? put them first and second. remove all other devices except for the cd drives from the list. if this doesn't work check that the jumper swtches/pins on the back of the drive correctly identify where the drive is connected to the motherboard. ie primary/secondary master/slave

Does the downstairs computer have xp professional? If so, and you are a bit techy, I would buy the most shittest computer you can (possibly second hand) and use RDC (remote desktop connection) to basically log into the remote computer. For decent performance, you need 500mhz processor. Huge RAM is not a necessity. You'll get one for like £50, so you have £200 left in the back burner for drugs and prostitution. I have one decent computer in my house, the one in my bedroom. I also have several generations of old pc's in other bedrooms and one downstairs. They all use terminal services to log into their XP accounts on this server and experience the same speed as they would if they were on this pc, despite running at worst on a 266mhz steam powered beast (there's a SLIGHT lag on this one, but hardly noticable). My 2p. Works for me. Mark

Go Start-->Control Panel-->Sound and Audio Devices Then click the lower of the two 'Advanced' buttons. Make sure that the drop down box at the bottom is set to 5.1. If this doesn't work, make sure you actually HAVE a problem. Some programs are programmed to only output to the two side speakers. Some detail on what program you are using typed here would help us solve your problem. Mark

It can still be an issue despite a lot of cooling equipment in the case. The hardest part of cooling the processor is getting the heat away from the chip. You have thermal paste to conduct heat the first 0.01mm without leaving any gaps to the fan case bottom, which is usually made of copper or some other heat conductive metal. The heat then spreads through this metal and is then dissipated by being bombarded by air from the fan. Only then does any other cooling equipment come into play, by making sure that the air in your case is not all heated up too hot. Serious overclockers sometimes use water (or other liquid) coolers, which are more effective at removing heat from the chip becasue they are more dense than air. It is akin to jumping into a swimming pool on holiday as opposed to a cool fan blowing on you. The pool cools you down quicker. The bast was to speed up your games (if you're sure that your graphics card is the limiting factor, because it is by far not the only thing that can slow you down) is to buy a better more modern graphics card.
-
It wont explode it'll just get too hot and stop working. Sometimes it will stop working and then work again once it cools back down. Other times it will be permenantly damaged. If you start to see artifacts in the cards output (distorted or scrambled images etc) slow the clock speed back down straight away and you might get away with it. I know you biff, and i've seen your computer, and if it's still the same, you will quad-ruple the speed you experience your computer running at by formatting it and re-installing windows fresh, without and of the spyware crap that currently resides on your computer.

You've come a long way! Cheers big ears

Awsome festival I thought, but as has also been mentioned, Sunday night was an anticlimax to say the least. instead of the usual running around like a headless chicken having fun everyone went to the tents Except me and a friend who slept in the car cos the ground sheet fell off the tent How glad are you now you're home though, and you no longer have to do your business in this : -

That photo's amazing.

What the hell? I thought car parking was free?

No, it wouldn't. But for what it would cost for a router (£60?? i don't know) you can buy enough electricity to power your computer for a long time. I turn the screen off only when i'm not using it. I suppose not everyone uses computers in the same way.

Ad-hoc is part of 802.11 for a reason. If one of your computers is already connected to the internet, why buy an expensive piece of equipment to route the internet connection basically from the wall to the computer? Have your connected computer act as the router, it makes more sense. You talk as if ad-hoc is somehow not as good as an infrastructure (router-based) network. For your information, they function in exactly the same way. The only consideration is that your connected computer has to be turned on to act as the router.
