You're naive to think they will lower the tax once they've raised it, unless some SERIOUS shit kicks off. And also people will get into debt. Every other advert on the TV is some 'debt solutions' company, because it is a thriving business. Anyway FYI we won't see any effects until new years 2008, seeing as there isn't another budget until April 2007.

You're still saying that increasing the price lowers the consuption. I would disagree. It's a cultural problem that's the reason we drink so much. You want to increase tax. All you're going to do is make all the young people in Britain broke, unable to afford houses, etc, which is a sorry state of affairs. Instead, we need to sort out the behavioural problems which is the reason people drink. We drink partly becasue everyone else does, and partly because there is nothing else to do. I would even go so far as to say, if you lowered taxes, you cut cut in HALF what I spend on drink in a month, and I could use that extra money to go and do something else. Hense lowering taxes rather than raising them could be the best way. but hey, who the f**k's gonna pass that law, it lowers govornment revenue!

You seem to be justifying the tax by our behaviour and that somehow the higher tax will stop this. Well how come the UK already has one of the highest alcohol taxes around, yet elswhere in Europe binge drinking is not a problem? You, my friend, are another sheep allowing the govornment to increase taxes ^^^

They know very well that it will not make a very big (if any at all) difference on the amount of underage drinking. But upon hearing this, people might think 'yeah! thats a good idea!' so basically they get to increase taxes without any loss in public opinion. This leaves the govornment with more money to spend how it will, be that improving healthcare, or compensating all those hard working politicians ;-) It's not really going to fix anything, like I said, it's just another way of increasing tax. Another recent example of this is all the taxes that are now levied for 'enviromentally friendly reasons'. I heard the other day on the news that they are thinking about putting an additional tax on all air flights. Now obviously the idea here is that people wont fly because it's more expensive, thus we burn less fuel and save the world. However, this BBC news report was then followed up by people being interviewed on what they thought, and most were saying things like 'well, if it was only a few pounds that would be OK'. So what the hell is the point if it's not going to stop you flying?! That money is not going to be spent inventing a machine that can take the CO2 out of the atmosphere now is it? In addition, to drive to France in a 1.1l car would burn approximately as much fuel as flying there. Any larger car and you're burning more fuel than you would if you flew. Money is the reason this tax will increase, not underage drinking. Underage drinking as a convenient problem that allows them to increase tax. They probably wouldn't stop it if they could

Pretty similar to what anzo said really except not accessing safe mode. Both require that on first install no admin password was entered though. I've never heard of any other way though... Have you tried pressing the question mark next to the password box which gives you a password clue?

It's one of those places, like NeverNever Land, that you can only get into if you truely believe in it, in your heart. Believe. And enjoy a bump

Crashed My F'cking Car Today. Need Help To Settle My Mind.

Or, you could just keep the guy happy and pay the extra to go 'Rover', after all he's doing you a favor by not going through your insurance. If he decides you're f**king him about by suggesting getting it done cheaply and decides to go through your insurance, it'll add a fair whack onto your next premium anyway, probably not far off £140. But thats just the first year. If some kid bumped into the back of me there's no way I wouldn't go through the insurance; my point being this guy's gone out on a limb here to sort it out between you. I would be greatful for that. -
For my 18th I got an expensive watch, as a kind of permenant thing. Like people have said, I'd go with something that's gonna last.

HTML is an insanely hard language to master. Seriously, I tried once, all I managed was to learn the <tr> tag, then i got epilepsy and now I can;t look at flashing lights. It's *that* bad. I can't make tables to this day. But if you think you're cleverer than me, look up a tutorial rather than a ready made skin.

Are you cooking a MicroPizza in a microwave which is in the line of sight of the two aerials? If so, wait 2 and a half minutes, eat your tasty but lacking in healthy nutitional value and high in salt snack then try again. Also, make sure you havent built any brick walls in the LOS of the two aerials, or any Lead/Uranium/other dense metal objects. Or made a Faraday cage around one/both of the aerials. Or accidentally placed a coil of wire through which is passing alternating frquency voltage at a certain frequency in the billion hertz range nearby. Or if one areial is travelling away from the other at close to the speed of light it would f**k up the frequency. All of these are hazzardous to your WiFi network, trust me.

Makes me cough, hate it. DKNY's ok, most of the time don't go out effervescing fragrant hydrocarbons though; a shower suffices.

As part of their liscense agreement for owning a Forum in the United Kingdom Danny and Tom have an obligation to report all people who ask for advice like this to the LWCWAPSCC. The Losers Who Can't Write A Personal Statement Central Committee then inform every university, and theres no way any of these losers will ever get a place in uni doing what they want. Unlucky.

Its definatley real, I mean come on, we've all experienced ghosts, they're definately real. What's so far fetched about one chasing some people through the woods. And being good at making sculptures out of foliage. You'd be stupid NOT to believe it. In fact i'm surprised this is the first topic about it.

la meme! Anyway, what is this topic to achieve? Are you going to stop supporting MSIE 6 sometime soon? I doubt it! And firefox ain't no good on windows without firefox preloader (google it)

Joint, not always an option though, gonna have trouble sourcing some at 3am when you realise you cannot sleep!

If i conciously make the effort not to move I drift off within 20 mins without fail. I think it forces your body to relax, when normally your mind's so hyper you keep moving about all the time. But that's quite difficult sometimes, so something else to do it read a non-exciting book. Something that you're not going to get engrossed in. I have a book of French vobaulary (learning French) and it works a treat.

Can Anyone Speak (or At Least Competently Read) Latin?
Extreme_biker0 replied to Rich Pearson's topic in Chit Chat
If you know that, and didn't simply read it and copy it from somewhere else, you know enough to piece together a few words for his tatoo, right? -
Nice one, might try and get a car full together. How about party at Helios house after, refering to the other thread!
