    adding gears

Yeah I run 1x10 with a 32t narrow wide chainring up front and an 11-34 cassette out back. Ideally you'd get a 11-36 cassette but depends how fit you are / how big your hills are.
  2. Yeah not sure why they dont come with 2 pins and a metal locking bar you can put across to brace the legs should the rams fail.
  3. Anyway, what you need is: Merino base layers / thermals. Top and bottom. Merino socks. Decent ones, can get special thick ones from the likes of Smartwool for this kinda thing. Look at your footwear. Yes it has to be smart, but could you wear a smart thermally lined boot or similar? Could you wear a down jacket or gilet? Today I wore: Merino baselayer, t shirt, sweater, thick fleece, (thin) snowboarding jacket and my hi viz goretex shell, with merino long johns and thick jeans, and merino socks x2 under Dunlop rig-air thermally lined boots.
  4. I'm sure the farmers, builders, land surveyors, solar park workers and civil engineers all feel really sorry for you. As a geotechnical engineer who spent today stood still in a field in the middle of the somerset levels with it intermittently hailing, my heart bleeds.
  5. I ended up buying an Onza Ibex 2.25 55a and 2 shwalbe nobby nics. Run a nobby nic out back and the onza on the front. Can't fault the Onza, great tyre.
  6. That is a clean ass engine bay.
  7. I feel like I'm missing out on drama / the potential to insult someone, can someone throw me a link here?
  8. Why don't you get a cheap boring reliable estate (mondeo or something?) to get to work and ferry your bike about and that?
  9. Try greasing the back of the bolt head so that doesn't bind and feel like it's tight when its not.
  10. Unlucky, lord of lame.
  11. What colour / set up is the front hub? I am also a tart and after a silver / polished king or pro2 front hub to go with my shiny rear.
  12. Little did he know you are actually an anal acrobat! Jokes on him!
  13. http://www.juicelubes.co.uk/ should have the bits you need, other than that aforementioned grease, and they are uk made.
  14. Bought myself a load of bits but from others a can opener, waterpik, bed sheets, dressing gown x2, cider and night with my missy in a camping pod thing in the woods. So everything I asked for material possessions wise.
  15. You are one weird f**ker.
  16. Broken up for christmas First few days off since August. Looking forward to getting out on the mtb.
  17. Ooooft, good choice. Only Roysters T Bone Steak come close.
  18. M8 x 0.75 if I remember correctly. Length depends on application - single or double chainring.
  19. Not to be purposefully argumentative or trying to be dick.
  20. Ahh yeah. I thiiink they were like +40 with a longer back end? Either way, whatever stem I ran or whatever Isitafox suggests would be good. No point going massively high or long because stems are only like that these days to deal with the scourge on society that is the +80 bb.
  21. IIRC they had graphics on the... seatstay I think saying what it is. Think they did a 499, 699 and 1499 or something. Was linked to the price, funnily enough. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/topic/131331-yaabaa-1499/?hl=%2Byaabaa+%2B1499 That was mine from way back when.
  22. 1499? If so yeah +35, and if so good man they are awesome frames.
  23. Yeah not judging at all, but there is very little you can do to feel dirtier than go out all night, get no sleep then wear the same clothes all day smelling of sweat, alcohol and Cathy from HR's minge.
  24. In work the next day with the same clothes on? Classy
