  1. Pompey definetly sounds like the palce to go! Loving the enthusiasm guys! Gives me new hope! Should probably buy that proII built then so I can keep my options open I guess. Phil
  2. Hmm yeah, if I had awesome stuff to ride around here might be bearable but I havent got any natural for miles and miles and the street is very lame. Last few weeks I've been riding pallets every day as I cant be bothered to go into town on my own as it's seriously lame on my lonesome. Ha cheers mate, I just really dont know, I love trials but not the ideal situation. Phil
  3. I just realised, even if I do want to give up when I sell my bike it needs to be a full build so it probably makes sense to buy the proII wheel (getting a good price) anyway and then if I go on some group rides and like it I can carry on. Hmm... Cheers mate have added you. Phil Yeah I guess, dont think I could deal with it though. Trials is a social thing./ Have been to a couple of comps though and they did have an awesome atmosphere. Phil
  4. That is an awesome number! Yeah cheers for that, changes things a bit. Will ahve to think some more. You from down there? Phil Yeah definetly something to consider Phil
  5. You guys all from down south then? I could catch a train down to portsmouth, would only take an hour or so and will be driving by start of summer. Hmm maybe there is hope. Still feel preety shit about the whole thing. Phil
  6. For the last few weeks I've been riding alone as the last person in the area recently gave up trials. Scene has gone from 6 people to just me in the last year which really isn't ideal. On top of that killed my hub tonight, before I splash out on a proII I need to have a think about where this is going. You guys been in this situation? Did you battle through it riding alone and hitting group rides when possible or did you give it in? Cheers Phil
  7. Hahaha I definetly have to agree with that. Anyway the video was awesome! Still prefer the street ones though personally. Brilliant rider. Phil
  8. Cheers! Brightened my mood. Phil Would be awesome if you could put up a flat pallet to pallet clip of your gapping if you had a chance sometime Phil
  9. Yeah man will work on it. Live in Fleet (near farnborough, 15min train from Basingstoke) can easily get into Reading and Woking, will be well up for rides after exams Will check the rides sections. Phil
  10. hmmm yeah will try a different stem. Its a mono Ti (classic!) I could really do with a pro 2 I know. The gear is 22:18, never used anything else, love it. What would you reccommend? Cheers, Phil Yeah, will definetly work on pinching it tomorrow if the weather is ok On the sidehops it's really strange, can never go to two as I just feel out of control, but if I get the front on first I know the back is safe. (if that makes sense) Would ask for help but local riders have gone from 5 to 1 (being me) in the last 6 months! Vids are sick btw! Cheers for the feedback Phil
  11. Hmm yeah, have been considering learning it but I find on something that low the bike pushes down and hits the floor before coming up. Yeah I see what you mean about the stem, will change it tomorrow or something. CHeers mate Phil
  12. Right basically I'm looking to see what advice you guys could give me about gapping and sides, below is a couple of clips (sidehop was a crap clip, too far back) Help would be appreciated. Cheers! Phil
  13. I do know it's a load of bollocks compared to trials if that's any use.
  14. Was a very decent video. Like the gap to front on bench spin and land back. One thing I would say was that when gapping up to front you need to push your weight right over the front of the bike because at the moment you are bending the middle of your body towards the stem and using the power of the brake. Phil
  15. Yeah 99/100, I don't like a 1/100 chance of getting stabbed in the face and dying. So really I think its down to assessing the situation, if they look properly properly scummy it could get messy, if they are little kiddies who think they are men then definetly stand up for yourself. I have never had any trouble really, I got stapled a couple of times at school once by some chavs, didn't even notice until later on, was amusing. But yeah I've always been bigger and stronger than the chavs and this isn't a rough area where people spazz out so no one has ever fought me. Phil
  16. I respect his level of skill and he is indeed phenominal....... But why not just get some rope, tie your feet together and jump around, very similar principle. Seems so so pointless to me. Phil
  17. Was a very decent video! Some big gaps. Not sure about the porno sounding music allthough it was very relaxed. Phil
  18. Baha, I also pre-judged ryan@eastcoaster as I categorically don't like young chav looking people riding mods with no helmets. (no offence intended - just first impression) HOWEVER from what he has said above he's clearly a decent guy and is very reasonable..... so stop being a twat. As for the video the riding was preety damn good, quality and music could do with a bit of work. Phil

    Damon Video 7

That was insane. You can effectively sidehop a house! Was surprised there weren't so many gaps to front in this one. Phil
  20. Tra, Felix Mucke, Marco G (+Brunschweig crew), James Barton, Pisanka, Cap (monster), Damon W, Ben Travis and Hermance. Basically if I'm not sure if I can be bothered because there is no one about to ride with I watch the above and I'm out the door in 5 minutes! Especially Pisanka, love trying to re-create his effortless style. All incredible riders. Phil
  21. Awesome riding, love the rock to backwheel on the upright cylinder thing. I didn't think the emotional music was necersarry as nothing was emotional about the video. Good video Phil

    Im Moving!

Hey mate. I live in Fleet, 2 minutes from the station and would be up for a ride sometime Trials is preety bleak in the area, were 4 riders a year ago and after my mate gave up yesterday it's just me! Give me a shout sometime. At the moment things are preety hectic with AS exams coming up but I ride almost every dry night. Phil
  23. Just found a video of James Barton I've never seen before, an absolutely unbelievable rider and I think he's only 18 or 19. Cheers, Phil

    Video Request

Basically been a year since I've seen this vid and I can't find it/ remember what bike he's riding. It's a sponsered rider on a white bike, its filmed in a continuous way as if he was doing everything first time as he cycles around a relatively deserted town. He does some big taps, a hook onto a bin, the video starts with him getting his bike out of the car. At one point he taps a rail then gaps down or something and a man shouts ''wheyyy'' from above. I don't get the impression it's english. Half way through there is a clip of him picking up a jumper and the rest of the vid is of him with a jumper on. Can anyone help me out at all? Cheers, Phil
