  1. Think its fair to say when you 18+ you can do what you want with your own head. Really liked the video, really chilled out and two awesome styles of riding. Phil
  2. Precisely, I'm not claiming it is the only factor but it does make a difference... Phil

    Beau GU Clips!

Because it is pure dirt! haha Phil

    Beau GU Clips!

Agreed! Riding was very nice, love the sidehop style. But I wouldn't trust anyone in that jacket as a principle.... Phil
  5. I'm having this problem! Couple of times now, water bled the maggy, brake has been phenominal. After a while slaves have moved out despite tight clamps, I then move them back in and after a few days the brake is crap and pulls in too far despite the pads still being close. Unless I have a leak it makes no sense atall. Phil
  6. Looks good! Such an awesome place to ride! Will definetly be at the next EBTC comp. Last time I went to Hook Woods though my pedal axle snapped within 15 minutes and that was that Phil
  7. Supercycles would be your best bet Seb, check out their website. (they make Onza) Phil
  8. Worldcat is a shocking name! What marketing genius was responsible for that!? Phil
  9. This has been discussed way too much, look around for it.... Phil
  10. Thanks for ther response, will continue later and I will quote the areas. Phil
  11. The difference is I'm not slating PCSO's for doing their job, I'm questionning whether the job even needs to exist. I don't think you really adressed this part of my arguement and would be interested in what you think. (See above post) It's more than likely that everyone you have spoken to thinks to highly of PCSO's is because if they didn't they would not have given up their time to talk to you in the first place, so I don't think that stands to reason. Phil
  12. PSCO's are police............. but cheaper. Everyone knows we need more police on the streets, however this would incur massive amounts of money being spent through training etc, tax payer's money. This is where PCSO's come in: a cheaper, easy, 'half hearted' alternative that create a shirade of government action. It appears to me PCSO's serve no real purpose other than 'high visibility reassurance', their Job is certainly not to prevent crime or terrorism thus personally I'm not sure if this aim warrants money being poured in by the government atall. A couple of years back at School PSCO's walked around the playground, I'm not so sure this utter waste of time 'bridged gaps between groups in our community'. However I can atleast see it meant real policemen didn't waste their time. At the end of the day this Government scheme may appear applaudable on paper, however in the real world has little use. I will use the analogy of a 'bully box'. If a school is having problem with bullying they may make a bully box, although this may never be used and may have no purpose, on paper it looks good because they have taken steps towards reducing the problem. This sums up my thoughts on PCSO's, a 'bright idea' that looks good but in the real world does not function well. Finally, Gyser by the way you talk you clearly believe in what you are doing, which is very good and I'm convinced you will be a good PCSO, however I can't help but feeling maybe everything your saying has just been programmed into you in your training thus far, instilling the belief that you are serving a purpose to society as a whole, not just a government tool to look like they are taking action. Well the above is just my thoughts, I mean no offence to anyone who is/was/will be a PCSO it's just what (from my limited knowledge on the matter) I think to be the case. Phil
  13. Two absolutely awesome vids! Recognise alot of the clips out of the 07, incredible riding, there isn't another rider in the world with the style of Marco G. But thought better of the Bruaunshweig lot than to use Bloc Party though! haha. Phil
  14. I'm not taking the piss but I think Ben Savage would be out of the question for sports personality as he doesn't seem particularly out-going. (I don't know him personally, just what I gather) Phil
  15. Clear cut above the rest
  16. Yes I have met him and he was very pleasant and friendly to talk to. Thank you for answering the question, I was intrigued thats all. QUOTE (hugh_b @ Mar 23 2008, 10:19 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>can Dave, Ash or Dan not post pics without someone posting some kind of abuse about them or just pick on pathetic things?? Completely jumping the gun. My initial statement was put in a non-agressive, non-quirky, non-taking the piss way, it's difficult to conclude I'm 'abusing' him. Besides, I know it's none of my business, was just interested. Phil
  17. Pictures look mint. No diss-respect but do they get to ride without you there? I know you play a huge part in the trials community but personally I can imagine it being odd having my dad around when riding all the time. Phil
  18. I would have loved you to say: 'Know it? I AM Trials
  19. Sidehops to back wheel looked colossal to me! Very nice riding! So good not seeing you on that 24 piece of crap! Phil
  20. Riding was mental! Think Waynio looks like a complete spanner in the full hope green gear when it comes to a casual ride on the streets, no offence Phil
  21. Cheers for all the replies guys. I agree with chimpanzy, ride up to the edge of your limits but obviously don't even bother doing something there is no way you're capable of. I suppose the problem is finding where your limit are but it's way too easy to fall into the trap of only doing stuff you know you can do, which I was more or less in for the last few months until now. Phil
  22. Go with a pro2, you know it's right. So much cheaper and used by a huge number of pros. Phil

    .

Addlestone moore? Not spectacular, easily spend 4 hours riding the stuff there. Phil
  24. Well following a previous topic about how its hard to push your limits sometimes and very easy to wimp out, I think I have found the answer... mates. Today I rode with a dirt jumping mate of mine who really pushed me and made me do stuff I would normally walk away from claiming I would return to do it some other time. For example it began to rain abit, I had ridden for 5 hours so was knackered and came to a wall which he effectively made me do. Previous sidehop best was 36" and did this 42" wall first time (which is still small for most of you but sidehopping isn't my strong point). So it proves I was capable I just needed egging on. And now I can challenge myself further and maybe do 45" after a couple of attempts. So yeah supports from fellow riders is the way to push your limits I can conclude. Any thoughts? Agree? Disagree? Phil
