  1. Me and Reece will be at a comp this Sunday at Hook woods mate, I'd imagine Rankin and co will be there too. I'd be down for some riding where ever in Essex, just give a shout before hand so I can fit it in. Hopefully April will bring us a more summery climate too. =D
  2. Does sound like a cool idea, would love to get into a habit of it. Only trouble is that if I did, I would have nothing to fill that time at nights inbetween naps (and surely if you do have a lot going on then its hard to get into the routine). I don't think its beneficial over traditional night time sleep, if it did lead for you to be more productive and healthier, then I bet there would be animals doing it.
  3. Another area where weight is saved on these forks besides the drilling, is the actual thickness (well if your looking at the Echo logo, how wide that area of fork is). Its scary comparing the thickness of the SL's to the Lites as there is such a huge difference to them.
  4. Anyone want to buy an original Limey 20" frame ahah? Looks brilliant, it is just a downscaled Limey 3 26", I'd love to see a photo of the mod and stock version together. =D
  5. I'm on really refering to the mod frame here as that is all that interests me. I don't like them because of the fact how they are the most blandest and un-original bike ever. Theres no dedication there, and to me it just reinforces that some Chinese man is slapping them out without a consideration into the market or potential buyers. Just a 4 bolt mount, I'm sure a lot of people who are willing to go lightweight on componentry (one of the selling points of this frame) will be competition riders, but the majority of competition riders are dual disc, so this immediately dispells this as a plauseable option for a new lightweight frame. The full build picture of the mod looks gash, its a random mash of colours, reminds me of a stereotypical TGS build with second hand non matching parts.
  6. Obviously "zed". But "haitch" for me, I feel that is correct as it begins with a "H". Obviously I'm probably wrong, but as it is a habit then I am not changing it. =D
  7. The limey cranks look tasty, might have to get a set when they are out just to match the bike. Can I just ask if there are any plans to produce a set of forks to accompany the new 20" pro model frames? I'd love to see a white fork with appropriate stylyings to match the frame. I could imagine something like this http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?pr...;category_id=13 but with a green steerer and some nice drillings like the headtube area on the frames.
  8. Because its a 26" tyre, a whole 6 inches of tyre, and it still weighs less.
  9. Any prizes for establishing that its gonna be a muddy one like last years? Should be a good trial without a doubt.
  10. 6 foot 4" static (rear to rear), and 9 foot rolling. Now that I am on a shorter frame, I really want to learn bunnyhop rolling gaps, as it gives infinate speed.
  11. Who on earth is the monster on the mod? Most amazing and inspiring style I have ever seen, this will change the way I want to ride forever. Great video, lots of repeated clips, love the huge up to fronts Ben.
  12. The economy is only going to get worse if the media continue to scare people into not spending money, and everyday say "Big economic crisis, save money, etc". Its hard for small retailers at this time, and the main reason is that people are afraid to spend money, the VAT reduction was a good idea but really is a negligable amount of saving there, until there is a more significant reduction then people will still be afraid to go out and buy things because of the media hype. I think if said reduction takes place, it will definately benefit the smaller retailers as well as the larger nationwide retailers, which will have a great "knock-on" effect for the economy.
  13. I thought the Monty TI one had a nice bit of rise? Just keep with that, handlebar angle itself makes a massive difference too of course.
  14. Bloody trains, was tempted to go with Saturday but yet they are still bus replaced. Are National Express on crack?
  15. 'Kin beastly stuff! Loved your little rail line at the beginning. Can I just ask what editing programme are you using? just that mine doesn't export as good quality as that.
  16. Absolutely nothing wrong with my tubes. Got a standard one in the front (lets face it, its hardly a job changing a front innertube), and got a Kenda DH 19" tube on the rear (which has had one puncture in the year I've had it).
  17. I'm actually in love with that. Love the bio-mechanical tattoos. Can't wait to see a completed picture.
  18. Man a cat riding a bike alone is some feat. I'd be definately in for being a cat, nice longish life, good food, good sleep, mobile and active. And yes it would be good to be mega at indoor trials.
  19. A camera is a big help to riding, whether its alone or with mates. Purely because it pushes you to go bigger (If you stack when trying to go bigger, then no worries its all on camera, and if you make it you've got it on camera). Best thing to think about riding alone is lines and style. About a 5-10minute ride from my house is some rocks outside a shopping centre, I must have riden these in sheer boredom hundreds of times and can do just about any move on any rock (up to fronts, taps, static hops, sides to rear, you name it). But recently I've done different things whenever I've gone there (such as doing a line of rocks, getting onto one rock getting off and then onto the next rock). I assume you've heard of Ryan Leech's Manifesto style? Riding without excessive hops, or set-up hops. After that I think of the smoothest way I can tackle a line (granted its not as smooth as some people but its practice). From being smooth I delve into trying to ride without brakes (at least landing brakeless etc). Just look at the different styles about be it; street, competition, or a street beast. I try to incorporate every different style of riding into my own (emphasis on the word try )
  20. I think I'm going to start investing in bananas when I go out riding. As for current, I eat and drink just about anything when riding (sometimes water, relentless or coke if there are any good deals going). Majority of it is unhealthy. I'm gonna give sport drink and bananas a go this year then.
  21. I thought the aspect ratio was screwed a bit at first, then I just realised how tall and skinny you are. That looks like an amazing place to ride pallets, I love your up to front technique, its very frenchyish. That big gap looked effortless as well. =D
  22. I LOVE YOU! Catch you on it soon buddy. =D
  23. I never do with any personal belonging. Unless my mate is standing by (that might not have been much good in this case), or I have some where to keep it/take the bike with me.
