  1. bored of these topics now. if a stock is hard to move around for you, go smaller. simples
  2. Anyone got a sloped mod stem?

  3. Only reason for that was my rear rim had some sharp bits in. Put a thicker rim tape on and all has been good since
  4. A kilo of paint Oo!! Strip the f**ker!
  5. I got a 2003 echo team down to 1.1kg with a file and drill. Internal cable routing is a piece of cake, looks a lot harder than it is. Cut vertical slots in seattube, a lot of the headtube, get rid of any bash mounts, shorten and file dropouts, cut out the 'tail', chop off disc mount, get rid of any brake lugs etc etc
  6. Bars are mint. Just stripped my hubs and 4 finger blades
  7. I'm running a shwalbe rocket ron on the front 400g, and a tabletop folding on the rear 520g, spot on for street.
  8. I got mine down to 8.1kg, in the bike pics thread

  12. No cousts front and rear, front in TNN backings.
  13. So.. I ride 2 miles downhill to my only local spot.. First move, puncture on rear. Not rating this rear tyre right now. Fun walk home.
  14. I haven't no, planning on getting a rockman stem for it though. Then bonz forks and a ti freewheel and I'll call it a day
  15. Update 14.06.12: sorry for the bright images, few bits arrived today. cousts on front, tyres, nipples, bolts and new topcap. rocket ron is a 2.1
  16. I tried oven cleaner on some pedals a while back, barely touched them. It's said to work so I'm sure there are some more potent ones out there, just left me with a nasty cough.
  17. Chuck water on it, drag it down a hill. Repeat it a few times and should be good to go. It's a good idea to replace your pads at the same time though.
  18. Table top on the rear yeah, and a rocket ron up front. Just trying them out because they're silly light. Loosing over a kilo purely from changing tyres
  19. With Sam on this one. Reverse mount works so much better. Maguras always perform better in reverse whereas vees like being on the front. I agree with some comments on the vox's graphics, if you could tone them down it'd be a beautiful bike
  20. Once the tyres etc arrive today, hopefully under 7.9kg. Will see. Cheers dude Stem is 127 x 27
  21. massive shout out for the use of fleetwood mac, and the hook at law courts!
