Guys give the lad a chance. He's been riding the thing for around a month and already winning comps left right and centre. He looks like he's just out on a jolly in this vid, really playful style. Loving seeing a bit of change. Poor benito though.
effort. haha.
try all cranks, pedals, bars and stem.
echo wheels, freewheel, headset, forks
front vee rear maggie.
could go into more specifics but think you can see it all in the pics anyway
You'll be after the gusset tank by the sounds of it, although it's almost too big. If you can track down a khe collapse you really can't go wrong, except if you're running a rear freehub it tends to kill them a bit.
A 1/8th KMC Kool is the safest bet all round.
I miss the volume of posts on here. When it was a struggle to actually keep up with what was going on. When people didn't get chance to argue because it was more fast paced and when things actually held a reasonable value.
AMEN
The odds are it's the beading on the tyre. I've had numerous creepys do it, and try alls. Sounds mad but superglue all the way around the gap side of the beading holds it surprisingly well.
I just got a ti bb for mine, made a big difference. Also recommend some try all cranks. Deffo change the pedals too.
Get a try all sticky light on the rear, slick it. Monty lightweight tubes made a massive difference to mine too.
The drivetrain and wheels is the easiest place to lose grams.
Little tip I've always gone for is to turn the bb the incorrect way, until it clicks, this means the thread has lined up, then proceed putting it in. If it's not straight and it's stiff after only 1 turn then you're stripping the frame dude.
