Depends what you want the car for. Do you want something that's fun to drive and maybe something that you can mess about with now and then, or something that's minimum hassle and reliable, good on fuel maybe... Generally with you being 17 I'd stick to something small in size (easy to manover) and something that's in a low insurance group, usually engine size plays the biggest part in this, I'd say stick to something less than 1500cc. Like people have said just search the internet, check insurance with different companies and look at other forums for cars, car reviews and what not. Good luck with finding a car.

I think I've clocked up over 20 miles in one day before, ended up going all over the place... Was boiling hot as well, had next to nothing to drink/eat, just collapsed when I got home.

Website advertising... you've got to have quite a lot of site traffic to make decent money but it's quite an easy way to make some extra cash. I made 10 quid from one person through Amazons affiliate programme, some guy bought the DVD rental thing through a link on my site and I got 10 quid just for that. Or obviously just eBay, find some bargains (car boot sales etc) and re-sell for a bit more via eBay.

There's no way in hell your home based internet connection would be anywhere near fast enough to run your own web server from it. Like everyone says, just buy some cheap shared hosting for 20 quid.

I wasn't driving like a tit either, I don't ever drive like a cock... I put my foot down to mainly, from instinct, stop the car stalling, and because I was quite angry at my mate just yarking the hand brake on. It's over now (I think and hope), I just went down the Mark's work, his brother was their and didn't say f**k all, I took 20 quid down, and said look that's all I've got (I don't work, only get 2 quid ish a day off rents for food), then he took 10 and just said he'll tell his brother to lay off. Mark seems canny, I just think his brother was taking the opportunity to get money out of me. I hate people like that. Thanks for the input everyone.

Right, I'm in the shit, well I am and I'm not. The other day, I was sat parked up in a car park with my mate in the passenger seat, my other mate Jonny in his car, and two other mates in their cars. One of my mates parked up (mark) went to pick some girl up, and wheelspun out of the junction and down the hill, then my other mate who was also parked up wheelspun out that same junction to go to work. The first person (mark) who wheelspun out the junction, came back with this girl. We sat and chilled for a bit, then I went to pick some girls up, as I was going out the passenger in my car yanked the hand brake on, so I was pissed off and floored it out of the junction (not wheelspinning), as I was going out the junction, a police van came in. They said to mark (who wheelspun) that they'd had reports of wheelspinning with a description that fitted his car, and he already has a section 59, so they took his car and fined him 105 quid... His brother then sent me endless texts/phone calls threatening to tow my car away etc, because he reckoned I owed his brother (mark) money, to pay for this fine. The part I'm pissed off at is I did nothing wrong, and certainly didn't get marks car impounded. What really shit me up before is that this marks brother knows a few shady people, like people who've been in jail before and what not, and says he's gonna get them to come to my house if I don't pay mark the money... What are your opinions on this? Do you think it's fair? What should I do? Cheers

Yes, I need a host to host links to the external content. As for Google, I tried that, I asked on here to see if anyone had any recommendations from experience, as anything and everything appears on Google, and trust is a key factor. Plus, just from a basic site description, there's no telling what the quality of the hosting (etc.) is like.

right im coming up to doing my car test (9th July). ive looked on the internet (eg www.2pass.co.uk) and obviously my driving instructor has helped me as much as he can but has anyone got any hints and tips or general informtion for doing the test? im doing mine at gateshead mptc and the pass rate is around 30%, so im kinda worried, and recently a few friends have went in for theirs at gateshead and failed at least once. one question i have is do the examiners have to meet a certain pass/fail rate? i was told so (although i cant believe that), but i was told to book my test early on in the month, as in the case of lots of passes in one month, coming to the end of that month the examiner will be more likely to fail you to meet a pass rate. if you've done your test recently or have any handy info on doing it, please say, im not looking forward to it!

how hard is it to fit all of those components? as i might get some for my car but i would wanna just be able to set it all up myself (i have a dvd head unit)
