  1. Will this bollocks actually effect my life in any way whatsoever?
  2. My netbook has no soldered RAM, but only one slot so I can only get 2gb in there. Not an issue really though, the CPU is so pitiful it's not worth trying to make it do anything tricky.
  3. Aye true, Dell say 1 dead pixel, but it has to be dead, not just stuck. You can get proframs that flash different colours up and that to free it.
  4. The first line says, "An application error has occured on the server". That means that the problem is on the server, not your computer. Wait for a while, see what happens later.
  5. If you have a stuck pixel, you can sometimes unstick it with various methods. For a line I don't think you can though, I'd take it back.
  6. I don't know if it merits putting back in NMC, but it was much harder for me to read than if it had been capitalised where needed. Maybe it's just me, but it makes a big difference to how quickly I can read and track posts. Yours aren't so difficult but when there is little punctuation and no capitalisation I keep getting stuck and having to go back.
  7. But on the downside, the number of posts written in terrible English (to the point where you struggle to read them) is increasing, the number of wankerish posts are increasing, and scammers can join and scam people freely now. Take trials owns' post, (sorry to pick out but I wanted an example), how hard would it be to add some capitals in there and some punctuation? It would make it far more readable, even if the spelling mistakes were ignored. (IMO spelling mistakes don't make it much harder to read). Under the old system if those mistakes were being made, the member wouldn't get validated, so they'd be pushed to sort out their english by other members, then they'd get validated and post higher quality, readable posts. Now there isn't any incentive, so there are a lot of members simply not bothering to make the effort.
  8. No idea, but I know it isn't an on/off switch. Starting up and shutting down the reactors can take some substantial time. Can't remember the exact numbers but I think around half an hour.
  9. Don't just say solved! Tell us how.
  10. To be fair though, the first sign of an earthquake tends to be when the ground starts moving though. Not exactly a lot of time to sort shit out.
  11. If you act like you think it could be a problem, it shows you think it could be a problem, meaning that you think you're not mature enough to make up for the age gap, so then she'll start to think, "maybe it's a problem, because he's not mature enough to make up for the age gap". If you'd just said, "Why, does it bother you?", then you would have found it much easier to get away with it. Alternatively, when she asks about your gap year, just tell her about how you travelled round Burma, and then chundered everywhere.
  12. Most of the time they're fine, but I've heard a few scare stories. People cracking them but adding in software to track every keystroke or every website you go on, then email it out to them seems a common one. Personally the only OS I've had illegally was OSX though, and that never ran for long enough for me to find out if it was dodgy or not. You're not allowed to post stuff about how to obtain or use illegal software, but stating that you currently use or have used software illegally in the past is OK as far as I'm aware.
  13. Should just run fine, W7 uses NTFS not Fat32. I've never had an issue like that, but it's worth a try. Just boot a Live CD, delete the current partitions, make a new one, format it to NTFS, try the W7 CD again. It is a legal/proper copy of W7 isn't it?
  14. Wear your helmet you dizzy bint. Noice pics, one day I might have to get my Koxx back together and bring it up, see what brakeless fun can be had in Sheff.
  15. You can't tell shit son, I'm an enigma, a shadow, an ever shifting presence.
  16. How would you know? We haven't met in person for like, 6-7 years now? Cockend...
  17. Chill yo ass down Matt, this is the internet. If you can't hack banter, you're in the wrong place. EDIT: You'd never get warned for that, it's circumstantial. I've said far worse in the past.
  18. The whole persona thing is important on here I think, it's what makes everyone unique and keeps the whole community thing going. I dunno how I come across on here, probably as the biggest nerd on the forum. In person I'm nowhere near as nerdy as I am online though.
  19. Ah I see. No doubt there is "evidence" to support these theories as well. Find transport, find parents, find friends, go to the pub and wait for it to blow over.
  20. Never even heard of it. Oh. Drag.
  21. What the flying f**k are you ladies on about?
  22. Now that is a freaky video.
  23. http://www.channel4.com/news/explosion-at-nuclear-plant-following-japan-tsunami Neither have blown up. One has had an explosion, which has blown the roof off but the inner bit appears to be structurally OK, but they've detected Cesium-137, which could mean bad times. A second reactor a few miles away is having cooling troubles.
