  1. We watched the video at work and had a debate about whether the plane actually hit the car or whether the driver swerved. Crazyness though.

I'm thinking of getting a few for no reason whatsoever. I have a B+ that lives in a drawer at work.
  3. 24 hours is a long time, she must have been practicing.
  4. to be honest I'd rather wash it and reapply WD40 multiple times rather than leaving it covered in crap all winter. I enjoy farting around with my bikes haha. Also think it's important to spend time washing bikes regularly as it forces you to spend time staring at your bike in detail, so you spot stuff. (Comes from riding trials bikes, looking out for cracked frames etc). If I bought that stuff I'd go through a couple of tins per winter at least, so no I don't think it's worth it. Either way this bike will only get washed and WD40d again once before I sell it, and that's for taking pictures when it comes to advertising it.
  5. Aye most important thing IMO is to keep getting it out and getting it hot so that when you throw the cover back on everything gets nice and warm and it can dry everything out.
  6. Petrol won't be an issue, it does enough miles to mean it need a full tank every 2-6 weeks. Checked oil was correct for the temp as well when I last changed it. £15 a tin? I'll stick to the WD40 I can get for free. Just need to keep it looking OK for another month or so until it's time to sell it on. I've had 7000 miles out of it but it's tired now. Oil burning issue is getting worse and there are a few knocks and rattles that are getting worse. Will miss it though, it's an awesome bike.
  7. Shamless copypasta from facebook... Anyone on here use their bikes over winter? Any tips for keeping them nice when stored under a cover outside beyond regular running to get everything warm and liberal application of WD40?
  8. Generally public transport is good in terms of connecting places together, but expensive and unreliable at actually getting you there. Still usually cheaper than running a car though. It's just a personal thing, if I had 1k a month to live on I definitely wouldn't be thinking about running a car.
  9. Depends entirely where you live, but if I were you I'd plan to move in and get set up without having a car. Mainly because honestly, that's not enough to live comfortably whilst running a car.
  10. # Bargain! Put a sticker over it, it'll be reet. I'll look into a V40 but to be honest I've never been a fan of Volvos. Main reason I'm considering a diesel Peugeot estate is the insurance is relatively cheap for a "proper" car. The same as a 1.0l Micra or a Suzuki Wagon R. I want something that will comfortably cruise at 80 returning a decent mpg figure and ideally the ability to pull a trailer.
  11. How much Robin? I've been looking at various pugs for my first car. I just want a cheap, reliable diesel estate, preferably a smallish one. So far looking at 206SWs, as the standard sort of price from a dealer for one with no issues with ~80k on the clock is £1250, which is a lot of car for not much money IMO. Don't want anything with millions of miles as I'm planning on keeping it for a while. Any german equivalent is double the money from what I've seen.

    The Angry Thread.

Our sky BB has also gone to shit within the last couple of months. Constantly dropping out and stuff. Not bothering to cancel though as we're planning on moving in the not too distant future.
  13. Haha, he rang you as well? He told me that I was on his list of knowledgeable, clever people who could help with such things. Not sure why he included you on that list...
  14. Had my 4th driving lesson today and we've covered most things so far. Turns out 11 years of riding motorbikes does come in useful. Just parking and emergency stop left to cover really...
  15. OK I tried Win10 out. It is *grim*. The start menu is some kinda half arsed W8/W7 hybrid thing, with W8 style tiles AND W7 icons. Couldn't they have just remade the icons?! Stick with W7 IMO. I reckon it'll be the last Windows OS that isn't totally shit. Doesn't matter if it's 5 years old, everything will run on it and they'll keep releasing drivers for modern hardware for a good few years yet.
  16. I kinda want to like it but I just can't get over the interface... It looks so garish and ugly. I've got a testing VM for it but not bothered to fire it up yet. Will do when I get chance.
  17. Aye they're decent temps for a GPU in that setup.
  18. Aye found it in the end, ta. Was hoping for updates though, that slab has so much promise haha.
  19. I see why you wanted AIO now haha, that build looks so neat. Very jealous! Are those cards 760s? How do they perform?
  20. Anyone got the link to Prawn's new garage thread? I've had a quick search but can't find it. I enjoy looking at awesome workshops.
  21. Yeh that was something I was trying to word, but gave up. Who gets into a relationship, then f**ks of Australia for 6 months? Then while they're away, has somebody setting up a nice cushy home for them to return to, only to decide that really they want to continue living with their parents before saving some money to go away again? Clearly someone who is not ready to settle down. Personally I think you did the right thing in getting together/staying together for this trip Jardo, but I'd say it's time to break up now unless she's going to come home and have a normal life. How long has she got left until she comes home?
  22. Nobody disputed that, what they're saying is that the way you spoke to her (if that was what you said) was f**king shocking. If you want to get your way with a woman, don't threaten to leave her and infer she's a twat... Honestly wish you all the best though. Sounds like a very shit situation to be in.
  23. Dude, chill... I meant big air coolers, wasn't comparing custom loops to AIO, that would be silly. All I'm saying is that a big air cooler is often more efficient, usually cheaper and always quieter and always more reliable than an AIO cooler. I'd got one of these, beat the H50 in every test I saw it in and was £15-20 cheaper at the time. 140mm fans included as well. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-000-PT
