  1. Looks like you just missed Jardo's original point aswell... He was comparing the narrow-minded sterotype that TGS riders have, (only doing 3 moves), and the "f**k the haters" image, with this dude, who only really spins round and round, and rides whilst wearing wings. Notice I said stereotype, I don't think that TGS riders are like the stereotype at all, I get on really well with a fair few riders who would be labelled, "TGS" riders.
  2. +1, they're amazingly strong, mine's about 9 months old, and it snapped for the first time yesterday, and it was where a pin had popped out, I presume from rejoining the chain and not getting it exactly in the middle of the outer plates.
  3. Fed up of the Coust? I used to ride with the guy who owned it last. I built that rear wheel actually I think. If it's the same one, hows it holding up? Any idea what geo you're after?
  4. A warped tyre? Just put it on and pump it up lol.
  5. You need to listen to more music in that case.
  6. No, if you heat it like mad, the crank arm will expand more than the BB, so the whole crank arm will end up bigger than before, and will come off the bb more easily.
  7. I really, really don't want to be nasty, but The Dark Lord? F**CKING LOL!!!! Dude, stop head banging in fields so much and maybe you might realise this isn't middle earth... Jack, drop the bat out of hell thing, he looks f**k all like Meatloaf, or anyone into classic rock, he looks like some demon child whos into death metal and thrash metal! Riding was quite interesting, would be better if you did less spins on flat and more flowy lines type stuff, the manual to 360 drop off was pretty cool though.
  8. Wish I'd bought a load when you were £700 down. Why, oh why didn't I, I could have bought £100 worth and made a fairly sick profit.
  9. See here: http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/wiki/Removin...stripped_thread Works everytime, although you may need to put a big jubilee clip round it to stop the legs popping off the crank arm. Only works on crank arms with a definate lip though, so may well not work on the middleburn.
  10. Happy Birthday old bean! Come on, let's have it, just how old are you now?
  11. Sheffield Hallam, doing Web Geekery. You doing anything nice?
  12. Good luck dude! And everyone else who's going now, I start on the 21st. Which Uni are you going to?
  13. I made a disc mount for my 06 Echo that was often reffered to as a bodge, it wasn't it was a well engineered modification. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....=106880&hl= If you're wondering why I seem like such a penis in there, it was 2 years ago...
  14. I appear to have made it a lot better, I got a piece of steel rod, cut a slot in it, slotted some wet and dry in there and wacked it in the pillar drill, then polished it out a bit. Will give it another go tommorrow and pop to the shop to try and get an oversized O-Ring for the piston. Looking good so far though.

Any motorbike shop should be able to get them in, or loads of places online do them, or ebay. Just look on the bearing for the serial number, or ask Hope what size you need. You can probably get the right ones from Hope aswell.
  16. Blimey, you ride that well Danny! So whats the score, are you getting one of those?
  17. Think I might do it just for the sake of it, they've got proper air lines at where my Dad works that I think run at 100PSI. That'd probably go through things quite well.
  18. In that case, I need a 13.75mm ball bearing. Sounds like it's worth a try though, will look into it, cheers Ed!

Don't knock my tapes bro, they work, they're cheap, and they do us fine. We on terrestrial anyway, and we hardly watch that, we're too busy with bike related projects all the time. (We've got probably as many projects as working bikes atm, motorbikes and the pedally ones). Cheers for the linky, will probably watch it tommorrow.

I really wanted too, but Waking the Dead was on and I was already taping that for Daddy. I suppose I can watch it online somewhere?
  21. Take the URL: http://www.vimeo.com/6574250 Take the numbers from the end and put them in vimeo tags. [vimeo]6574250[/vimeo] And you get: Vimeo Video -> Original Video Vid was fairly cool, felt really fun to watch. EDIT: OK you figured it out as I was posting. :$
  22. Errm, angry thread? But in the spirit of the thread, I just cracked a set of TrialTech forks, only had them like 6 weeks. Second hand so no warrenty, some people have said get in touch with the seller, but I bought second hand, I understand there's no fall back, just as I never offer a fall back to other people, it's a risk. But, I've saved so much buying second hand that it doesn't bother me, I'll just stick them in the pile for the welders. Chain snapped today, and I think I may have broken my toe.
  23. Well I've heard of loads doing this, apparantly it's because they were bled with a mixture of oil and swarf by Mr Deng.
  24. Hand reamer won't work, not the adjustable ones anyway, seeing as the cutting blade edge things don't run all the way to the bottom of the tool and the bore is closed. Any other ideas? I can't get it machine reamed I don't think, and it can't be done by hand unless I buy a tool that's a fixed size, which are rather expensive...
  25. No, you just missed the fact that the last time he rode for Ashton was getting on for 2 years ago as far as I can remember...
