  1. Yeh, I think supercycles still sell them? I thought you were getting one?
  2. Because they've finally realised they can't compete with the Zip, so they make half-longs.

    Proton E1

It was a shit protoype about 2 years ago (if I remember rightly), so it'll be even worse now. Best of luck.
  4. The try-all brakes are identical to normal hopes apart from the rotors, which we found to be shite. I'd just get standard brakes if I were you, they're much cheaper and look nicer IMO. (And come with better rotors. )
  5. I want to do daily backups to my network hard drive, is there any way I can make my computer just back up the modified files when I turn it off?
  6. Get the standard hopes if you can, my mate had those and they were pretty shite. Especially the rear, we could never get it working right.
  7. This guy? http://www.ip-adress.com/whois/212.162.1.124 If he's got his router set to dynamic IP like most people though, it will change every time he restarts the router, mine does because I turn it off when the computers off, like at night.
  8. When i run out of weight on the lifts when I'm training, I will. My 1rep max just doesn't bother me that much.
  9. Nearest gym is miles away and costs a fortune. I can't be bothered spending £30 just to find my 1rep max either, I only need more weight for my 1 rep max bench press anyway.
  10. I shall try that later. I've only got 59kg of weight though, but with my amazing 2kg bar at least I have a new target.
  11. And you can do one press-up? Someones telling fibs....
  12. 52.5kg bench, but for 3 reps as that's the most weight I can fit on my bar. Dunno any others, I never bother any more.
  13. We should have a trials-forum transformation competition, time for some motivation! In august last year I was 11st 4lbs, at the end of september I was 12st 2lbs, and I've just carried on, at the moment I'm the fattest I've been since I was about 11.
  14. Don't worry Kev, you're british, you're supposed to be fat, loud and shirtless on holiday.
  15. I wouldn't tap it bigger if I were you, it's a right pain in the arse. You need bigger bolts, you need to file the clamps out, you need bigger booster spacers, file the booster out. Just get it helicoiled, it's so much easier. I'd also make sure you have bolts that are as long as possible. Get ones that are too long, then cut them down until they fit, I've stripped mounts before from having bolts too short, you need at least 6/7mm of thread inside the frame, I've currently got about 12mm.
  16. I'm much preferring motorbike trials at the moment, I get bored with bike trials now, on the motorbike I can do so much more and you can be much less precise and just play around. Getting fed up of bike trials now, my bike keeps breaking, I'm really fat and out of shape now and it just doesn't seem as fun any more, I have to persuade myself that I want to go out and practice.
  17. It's a BB tool, not a lockring tool, they look vaguely similar though.
  18. I once changed from Tarty Griffles to TrialTech Foams. Saved 70g.
  19. It didn't have any TI bolts actually, fag. And it only had a Try-All front tyre, but the wheels, cranks and bar stem were monty, none of which are actually the lightest bits you can get. It was double disc anyway, so not really very light at all, if you want a really light bike it's not hard to go below 8kg now. Cutting knobbles works well, drilling holes isn't worth it if you ask me. I saved 18g drilling my front Monty rim, it had 168 4mm holes and took me about 2 hours.
  20. Anything below 9kg is alright, my Echo was about 8.4kg when you rode it if that helps.
  21. Just got round to listening to it, I liked it, not my usual thing but it's good to branch out every once in a while. Where does your track start Mike, I want to listen to it again.
  22. Wasn't that the Limey 20? Or one of the protos? I really liked them aswell, the one with writing all over it in grey and white?
  23. Showed this to my Dad and his cycling mates at work last week, oh how they laughed. And before you start bleating about inexperience or whatever, they did a 250+ mile day, and rode Land End to John o groats in 6 days last year. Two of them also have fixed road bikes and ride them quite a lot aswell, use them in the winter or on the chain gangs.
  24. They really are not shit. You'll have not noticed that it's shattered a bearing or broken a pawl or something, then just left it to disintegrate. Or did the lockring come loose? I had a tensile for 2 years and 7 months, I only got rid because I got a stock with a Pro2. I sold it on my bike and it was still running perfectly then! How are they hard to get off the crank arm either? They're a complete piece of piss. Follow this and just pull the bar gently, you don't even need to jerk it or pull hard. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/wiki/How_To_...Front_Freewheel
  25. Trialtechs are just MG-1s with Trialtech written on them, I've got a set, I've bashed them loads and not even knocked a pin out yet.
