  1. I found a pool of purple sick at the train station the other day.
  2. I was talking to Charlie last night, it's not even close to being finished yet and it's either his first or one of his first Wordpress sites. He said he's no idea why Danny posted it up, it's not even on it's own domain yet...
  3. The only protection you have from trials-forum is if you made a sale over it, what you did was give some forks away then ask for money for them. Best of luck getting validated now matey.
  4. I was in a proper cranky mood yesterday, ignore me please Matty. Got the new frame yet?
  5. Well thats what I heard, but I don't think one batch normally provides enough freewheels for the period I've seen these broken ones appearing in, I must have been seeing it happen for about 18 months now at least.
  6. Thats not what he said though, he said you'd have to be f**king retarded to not see straight through Mat's "joke", it was clearly just a wind up, what with it being shit and all.
  7. It's actually spelt correctly pal....
  8. In that case stay away from Conti tyres then.
  9. Because it's better than having horizontal. Just fit it and forget, and you don't have to set the brake up every time you take the wheel out. Can't work out why it's so heavy though, dual maggy and the rest seems really light...
  10. You don't have to guess, just look at how much each of your parts weighs now, then replace it with a lighter one. Try-All rear tyres are the heaviest you can get, they're like 1300g. I'd get a Try-All hOles rim for the front , they're much lighter than anything else really and put a front Urban rim on the rear. Fairly light and it will hold a grind!
  11. The biggest weight saving gram per pound is tyres, if you have a dual ply minion rear and a single ply front, you can save about 800g if you went to a front 2.2" Mountain King and a rear Rubber Queen 2.4".
  12. I hate IE so much, when I built our site nothing aligned right in IE, so i had to put a load of If IE lines in to sort it. Trying to get it to view correctly in IE6 and IE7 aswell, that was fun, the number of times it would work in one but not the other...
  13. Thats a very poigniant (sp) clip.
  14. I've heard similar stories from my mates at uni. One of the reasons I'm staying at home! I get down if it's untidy, if it was dirty I'd have a break down.
  15. I havn't seen a link for this site yet, fancy posting it up?
  16. In case it breaks or something goes wrong on the server, (highly unlikely, but still should be covered really). Yes, I've just been reading.
  17. Well if you want to stop people thinking you're a moron Mat, it's not difficult, just stop acting like one on here!
  18. Thanks for your help! I never thought about getting it to work with styles disabled, but now you've said it it seems logical. The old version of the site used tables and no CSS at all, so every piece of text needed to have a <font> tag with the size, font, colour etc.
  19. Care to point any out? I did check it with a validator thingy a while ago, but the only mistakes were ones which I didn't think mattered enough to bother changing them. I didn't think it was too bad considoring I'm self-taught and that was my third site I'd actually coded. (I did do another one in Frontpage years and years ago. )
  20. I have the same problem, I'm utterly awful in photoshop, I've only actually done 3 websites though all for the same company. Well here it is anyway, please note that my original design has been forcably edited by the sports coaches.... (The logo in the background, the fecking welcome page thing, the header/banner). www.sportsweeks.net I'm not actually that bothered that it's not too pretty, what I care about is that it works in all browsers, it loads fast and doesn't have any mistakes. (As you may be able to tell from the whole layout, I have an engineers mind not a designers). Hopefully I'll get some designing skills when I'm at uni!
  21. Yeh lets all vote to remove their freedom of speech, that's f**king democracy! At the end of the day they can say what they like, as can everyone else and if it is actually offensive or damaging they'll get punished fairly. Just being a bit annoying isn't a crime, if it winds you up that much, instead of using a forum full of 16-25 blokes, may I suggest a sewing group? EDIT: Yes I realise it's not a democracy anyway, it's a benign dictatorship, just replying to everyone calling for "democracy".

    Freewheel

Tensile, I got 2 years and 4 months out of mine and it was still perfect when I sold it on my old bike! Top Tip: If you get one, take it apart straight away and clean all the grease out and run it with oil in there, otherwise it will skip when "bedding in". (In my experience freewheels don't need to bed in, just like a chains as long as you set it up right the first time it's sorted).
