It's been a while since I've had a chance to read in here properly, just had a good chuckle at Mr Religion USA, especially this bit: Never read anything about evolution have you? Take giraffes, the short ones couldn't reach the leaves on the trees they ate, the tall ones could, so the short ones died and the tall ones lived long enough to breed, and the cycle kept repeating until you get giraffes as they are now. Imagine what they look like in another few thousand years!

I'm currently doing college work that's being handed in tommorrow. I'm not annoyed or anything, I chose this path. I could have not ridden my motorbike (trials bike) today and finished this off instead, but I like to have fun. So it's 2:19, and I reckon theres a good two hours work left, but I don't need to leave for college until 9:30. So the question is, bed now finish in the morning, or finish now and get up later?

Mine's more worn than that, I'd say it's the chain! Mine was brand new though, and it was nothing like as bad. Very wierd!

Why would you chop up a frame? Frame tubes are only 2mm thick at the most, and they're made of aluminium so I doubt it will be strong enough. Just use a big steel tube over the crank arm, or hit it with a soft nosed hammer.

I've got one, and I'll never do without one now. (Link to pics in my sig). They don't change the feel or bite at all really, just allows me to have a much cleaner hose line and use two M8/M6 slaves with each line going into an M8 shroud and olive, so I can't kick it off. It's almost impossible to kick the lines off, and it's no harder to bleed at all, I just use a slightly different technique and it works fine. The only thing that was tricky was getting the hose made up at first, but it's actually pretty easy, you just use the plastic clamps and use a piece of wood to tap it into the lines first, then the main hose. Cleanbikes did a guide on how to fit one but I can't find it.

It wouldn't be catching the bash, I ran a KHE Collapse on one of these no trouble, the trialtech is a much thinner chain. Unless thats a different one to mine, mines the TI one but I don't know what year or anything.

Mine was nothing like that bad, looks to me like the sprocket is too worn to work.

I wouldn't get a pig, mine was pretty rubbish, I had to rebuild it all the time and it weighed loads. Apparantly they're also slightly wider than most headsets so they flare the frame out slightly, so normal headsets won't fit after that. I'm running an FSA Orbit or Equipe, I've had both so I can't remember which I have on this bike, they're amazing, never need rebuilding and just keep running as smooth as when they were new.

I didn't, I don't know enough about it and I don't care. My mate voted BNP though, he was all "They just want the british jobs to go to people with a british passport", no mate, thats the Conservatives, the BNP want everyone of a darker hue than beige to be exterminated. (As far as I know this is the case, although all my knowledge on this comes from Have I Got News For You.)

I'd say just go straight for a stock, there are a few people I know who ride mod who are 6ft, but no-one whos as tall and heavy as you are.

I never said obselete, I said superceded, which I took to mean that there is a new standard now, so they are hardly ever used because there are more 18t and 16t parts available. Why is 22t better for old bikes? I'd still use 16:13 if I built one up, they're smaller so they clear over stuff better and they're lighter and look much cleaner if you ask me.

I'm guessing the sprockets worn? Mine did exactly the same thing, it's because you're putting a fairly new chain on a worn sprocket, you've just got to wait for it to stretch. Does it actually suck up just catch? I've got a pretty mad tensioner so it couldn't suck up, so I just left and the clicky sucky gayness soon went away.

Why do you want 22t anyway? It's been superceded, everyone runs either 16 or 18 on the front now. (Unless they're running burns). I use a 16t TI bash on my middleburns with a 13t on the back, tis perfect.

What have you done to that booster! You could have at least marked the holes out... You probably saved half a gram, now it will flex more and looks shite with only part of the logo left. Noice. Looks alright though, kind of a wierd trials/bmx hybrid but it's interesting.
