You'd have to bucket bleed the hope to get it completely air tight, you can never get all the air out from under the diaphragm! I'm always really careful when putting the diapgragm back on, but I can never get it right. They're a shite design, I had a set of Shimano Deores on another bike and it was far easier and you could stand the bike upside down on the car without worry. I'd try and get someone to swap, or get an english rear brake and swap the levers, then sell the english rear brake with the left hand lever on in your country, and it will be the right side for a rear.
