  1. That'll be the tyre, a front tread dual ply 2.5 minion is about 1200g. The heaviest tube you can get from tarty is about 450g I think.
  2. ALR8? You're from Kent! I ran them on a smooth anodised stock rim for a week or so. They were shite, they need a grind! On a light sharp grind they're surprisingly good. The wear rate isn't amazing though.
  3. Because they're TGS riders, they have to hate Maher, it's the law. Ben and Mat are both nice lads, but their breeding takes over.
  4. You might save 20g over the whole bike. I had carbon lever blades when I had twin hopes on my Kot, they're were shite. Seriously weak, flexed loads and weren't as comfy as the old style mini lever blades. I went over the bars once with the on and crack one of the blades, and it wasn't like it landed on it hard! (Hope replaced it for free though when I sent a load of other stuff in on warrenty. ). I'd tell anyone just to stick to aluminium. Carbon fibre stuff is greatfor stem stacks, singlespeed spacers, top caps etc but I wouldn't trust it for stuff that takes a load of force.
  5. What do you mean then? I've been around road bikes my whole life and only seen bar tape used on them.
  6. He means roadie bar tape, it's really hard and thin and is nothing like as comfy as foam grips.

    Simps Teaser.

Looks alright mate, but throw the mod away when you're done, looks shit on you.
  8. Trialtech Foams. £6, 30mm, firm but not too hard, basically super comfy and you can't feel the bar through them.
  9. The best stock forks out at the moment are Trialtech/Viz, definately worth the investment if you ask me!
  10. Both pads can move actually. But yeh if the disc is bent, it can push the pads in very slightly, it only has to push a tiny bit of oil out of the piston and up into the resevoir, but it adjusts the bits point because the mechanical advantage is so big. Straighten the rotor with an adjustable spanner using the caliper to true it, should be fine. Make sure you clean the spanner first.
  11. Why would you want to solve it? More hold backwards is more important if you ask me. Why would you need to rebuild the wheel anyway?

Well done to Brawn, again! I'll be surprised if they don't 1 2 the championship now. Felt bad for Hamilton though, that crash in qualifying finished it for him really.
  13. I'd go for something lighter, they're fairly hefty these days. Pretty strong from what I've heard though.
  14. Theres your answer, either the sidewalls aren't flat and parralel or and mounts aren't welded on straight.
  15. I was just adding information, don't you think i knew it was a prototype? Try reading my first post in the thread for my opinion of the frame, I was just discussing it. Looking at the frame and the rough price, I think I may well end up with one. Also please don't put words in my mouth, I don't think trials frames are too expensive for what they do, I think most of them are justified apart from one or two.
  16. I was thinking of getting one but changed my mind when the guy couldn't tell me what grade of steel they were made from. Unlucky Damon! Not surprised though to be honest, whats the plan, try and get another 24" frame?
  17. Neat looking welds are often stronger though if I remember rightly. if the weld is uniform and neat there it's less likely to have weak spots or air bubbles.
  18. I found a £10 note once, and two park tyre levers. Thats about it, pretty happy with that though!
  19. Best hurry up, I think I'm having withdrawel symptoms.
  20. I still have my Trek 220, amazing bikes. Mines from a few years before that though, it was rigid. It now has T-Pro forks and some old Renthal motorbike handlebars.
  21. I think that you should be allowed to decide when to end your life, only when it's sanctioned by a doctor though. There are too many laws that can get in the way though, who would administer the leathel injection? Technically they're ending you're life, so a load of laws would need re-writing in order for it to work.
  22. Am i the only one whos penis seemed to try and run inside my body when I read, "pierced"? That really does send shivers up my spine. I'm not squeemish about much, but the idea of your dick having an extra hole.....
  23. If you write in shite, you'll get moved back. It takes no effort at all to write you instead of u...
